The only reason I knew about this special olive burger was from a yelp! review. I ordered the Mr. O which you will not find on the menu. You'll find an olive burger, but not the Mr. O. Now I have to order the olive burger to compare. My daughter got a burger as well and we also ordered fries which were super hot--they must've just pulled them right out of the fryer. We went through the drive thru this time. I know Mr. Burger is about more than burgers, but on my way home I just kept thinking, "you can't call yourself Mr. Burger and not make a darn good burger." Well, Mr. Burger makes a darn good burger. Everything was hot, fresh and tasty. The little one finished hers as well which is a great indication that she liked it (she can be quite finicky). Can't wait to go back and maybe dine-in and try something else.

Food was fine, not phenomenal but not bad. Service was very friendly. The decor is outdated but I don't mind a blast to the past.

And by god, was I impressed. It's a small little sandwich shop off of Michigan Ave that has seating for maaaybe 20 people. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich to go, and when I got home to open my box, my jaw dropped. These guys put not one, but TWO mf chicken breast cutlets on this poor, poor bun. Topped with delicious house made pickles (their namesake), a fresh and tangly slaw, and a spicy oily sauce, this thing was a behemoth. And for, like, $15?? This is two meals for the average person. My only complaint was that the bun simply could not shoulder the monstrous burden of what it contained. Additionally, dude the fries are phenomenal. And they absolutely LOAD you up. Get the truffle upcharge, it's worth it I promise. I have been a Two Beards fan for the better part of the past 15 years, but man, in terms of value, The Toasted Pickle takes the cake. I can't wait to experience whatever else these guys are whipping up behind the counter.

We decided to get our order to go. The restaurant was clean. The service was fast. We tried a couple of the sandwiches that had turkey - Long Tall Sally and Sixie from Dixie. Both sandwiches were stuffed with plenty of meat. One was on the gluten free bread. And the bread actually had good flavor but was literally dripping with butter. Way too much butter. The other sandwich had no issues and was delicious as usual. The pickles were all very soggy and not that great this time. Overall, they were great! It was our first time trying the gluten free bread but next time I would tell them to lighten up on the butter. Otherwise, I will be coming back to try more. I am glad they came to Grand Rapids.

They made me a delicious panini grilled cheese and veggie sandwich that was a perfect compliment to the recommended chili. I added onions and cheese to my chili and it was phenomenal! Flavorful and the exact right amount of spice. The whole mom 'n pop shop had fun add-ons that could be purchased like candy cigarettes, local pops and delicious sounding pints of ice-cream. I'm happy I found this little gem. Maybe next time I should test their pizza. Sold by the slice during the day for 3-4 bucks a slice. Definitely recommend the paninis and chili. Good deal for $13 and much tastier and more food than Panera bread's U pick 2. This place deserves all the business! Friendly and affordable. Support local, your stomach will thank you.

Sure it's a little pricey, but you're going to pay more for premium crafted fare. They also have an awesome little patio hidden in the back, which is just delightful on the nice days that we have in the spring and summer and fall in Grand Rapids. They're very convenient to the Zoo so you can include them in making a day out of your excursion on West Fulton. The coffee beverages are top-notch and the baked goods are right there with them. Rise is a highlight of the John Ball hood. Now, this might not be the place for thin-skinned MAGA b*tch-boys with fragile egos and issues -ahem- compensating... but for grownups with regular-sized brains (and other parts) who love an amazing local shop with values that are shared by the city and neighborhood around it? I adore crab so ordering that was a no brainer. Their coffee is strong. It took a ton of cream to change the color... though it was delicious with free refills for $5. The omelette was heaven. All the flavors melded well and I appreciated the crisp acidic salad to cut the richness of the omelette. My only critique is wishing the crab salad topping was a bit more decadent. For $21 I was hoping for big lumps of crab rather than cool shredded mayo based salad. All in all, I love this place, I love the concept. It was quite busy and was thankful to snag a seat at the bar.
