Suuuuper disappointed in this place. Took my family out for some pastries and coffee and decided to drive to Rancho from Eastvale. Which we should've have just stayed in Chino Hills. I ordered some fruit tarts (like $2 each and they were tiny) and they had old fruit on them. My dad also ordered a warm fruit tart but he refused to eat the black berries cuz they looked sketch af. This is SO hard for me to write because I am a fan of Mr.Baker's! However, I ordered a pumpkin pie for thanksgiving yesterday and I was very disappointed. I completely understand that they were probably extremely busy from the holiday but oh gosh! This pie was horrible. I took one bite and I spit it out. I could only taste the spices. Seeing all the delicious desserts through the window drew me in today to give this place a try! I was greeted by the very friendly workers and the head chef. They have 3 huge displays of various pastries, cake, cupcakes, tarts, and muffins. You can see them hand baking and decorating their goodies right behind the counter. All their items are at reasonable cost especially with other places charging $3+ more for a single cupcake! Decided to order their napoleon and strawberry puff. Both were delicious! I especially loved the dark chocolate, cream, and light puff pastry in the napoleon. I would order both again! They also have a variety of sandwiches, coffee (included a cold brew slow drip), and even alcohol. It looks like a nice place to study or hangout. We've been here before for breakfast and their drinks + baked goods are so delish! Plus the customer service is beyond amazing. I'm writing this on Christmas Day because we have a party to go to and wanted to bring some good dessert. This place still has room for improvement. Came on a Monday afternoon and was approached immediately. They did not have the cold brew ready and full menu isn't available yet. I was just a little frustrated with the employee because with every question I asked she had to walk away and ask someone and I didn't even ask anything difficult just a few questions about ingredients and such. Service needs to be more knowledgable, service needs to be more timely (based on the 3 items I bought she took forever), and they should rethink how they package their pastries. I had 3 items in a big pastry box that ended up rolling around that by the time I got home the frosting on the cupcake was everywhere but on my cupcake. This place turned into a dump real fast. A note to the owner: 1) if they aren't busy, your employees shouldn't be leaning in the back. They should be tidying up. It's never OK for plates to linger on tables. Just gross. 2) if your cashier isn't helping a customer, they should be helping customers make a selection.... not leaning back against the counter 3) if you are going to have an open kitchen, keep it tidy. Tubs stacked upon each other next to open hefty trashcans aren't what I want to see before I enjoy a sweet. 4) It's difficult for customers to enjoy the patio when they have to maneuver around the chair propping the door open. My new favorite bakery! Out in the Ontario/Rancho Cucamonga area there aren't that many good cake places. Well not asian cakes at least. I find cakes at american markets and stores tend to be really sweet. So my family and I like to find less sweet cake places. This is one of them. They have so many selections to try from. The first time I came here I got slices of the Strawberry Shortcake, Mixed Berry and the Blueberry Cheesecake. All 3 of them were so good! The fruits on and in the cakes are fresh tasting too. I came back less than 2 weeks later to get a whole mixed berry cake for my sisters birthday and she loved it too. The store itself is really clean and the staff is really nice. It's cool to see people decorating and making other pastries behind the counter. Besides cakes, they also have other baked goods. I will be back soon to try some of those along with a fruit tart cake! read more

It's kind of weird to call it a pie (because it's a cake) but still...pretty standard item. I called to have them hold a BCP and when I arrived to pick it up for my husband's birthday 1) it was a chocolate cream pie they were holding and b)it was a mini. I don't know if it was a good chocolate cream pie. Maybe so, maybe not, but it doesn't really matter if what you asked for is something different. Maybe a little more training for your store staff? Not only with the employees but the lack of fresh items and products that they used to offer. The pastries here are to-die-for. I have minion Christmas cupcakes. It was perfect. The yellow part is actually butter cream so its a smooth light yummy taste. I also had a surprise bday party at work and my wonderful friends got me a personalized minion bday cake. It was PERFECT!!!! The filling was strawberry shortcake. The strawberries was fresh and chopped pieces. It was four layers....the whipped cream was excellent. My fondue was out of this world. It depends on what you get here. Have been here multiple times with my family and enjoyed their pastries (cookies, tarts, etc...). They were so good I decided to get cupcakes for my daughter's birthday from them. I wanted something special, not just ordinary or cheap tasting ones from the grocery store. I picked up 9 strawberry and 9 vanilla. What a mistake! They were pretty, but that was about it. I tasted the frosting of a vanilla one (my son ate the cupcake part). It was the worst I've ever tasted. It had no flavor at all, no vanilla, no sugar, no butter, no buttercream, nothing. It was like biting into a chunk of Crisco. It just tasted like grease. I'm not sure how the strawberry ones tasted because they were all distributed to the kids. I was extremely disappointed and embarrassed to serve such awful cupcakes. I could've bought better ones from the grocery store and paid far less than I did. (I kept them refrigerated until they were going to be eaten, so it's not a car of the frosting going bad.) Let's start with the positive, the service wasn't bad and they gave me a free chocolate ball for my first visit. My husband and I ordered a black forest cake and a oreo cake, both looked really good! However my black forest cake was extremely dry and had a weird spongy texture, the chocolate was also really weird. Took two bites and tossed it. My husband's oreo cake had a great rich and moist texture but it was literally flavorless (weird, right?) he tossed his after about three bites.
