His response was that they would never make that mistake and it was me that damaged the truck by slamming my seat belt buckle in the door. I 100% know it was not there when I dropped off the door. They will not take responsibility. I would never use them again. Their reputation for being a premier service is incorrect. By the way I showed them the seat belt buckle, it looked brand new with no scratch or scuff any where. Stay away!!!

However, it takes a good auto body shop with skilled personnel to provide that expertise and service. Central Illinois did an excellent job on my car; they even found a Kia sportage (blown engine) of the same color to use for parts for my car, to eliminate the cost of a new paint job. FYI, with insurance, the insurance company will often pressure you to select a repair shop that will use cheaper new parts to save the insurance company money. YOU MAKE the FINAL SELECTION for the repair shop, so work that has an insurance company behind it would ALSO be best done at a reputable and highly competent body shop, like Central Illinois.

It wasn't anything different from the other shop, but more than twice the cost of the other shop. I told the lady that they are completely too high and out of line! How can they expect an student to pay this kind of repair bill ? This is an old car that is probably worth less than their repair bill!
