My car was taken to Urbana from Napleton to have the roof, hood and a door painted from peeling white paint. When I picked it up, my windshield had been removed, however, it was not put in correctly. It was pretty much just set on top of seal and sealed. The post by the windshield were dirty from hands. A glass company is not going to have filthy hands when installing a windshield. I think 5D took windshield out and put back in themselves. My headlights had clear all over them, he saisd they did not do that.. Also, my remote start was hanging on the side of windshield instead iof being put back in windshield above mirror. Brian was there when I picked my car up and the excuse was " I was not here that day your car was picked up by Napleton" . There was overspray on the black plastic on bottom of car. They do very poor work and don't stand behind their supposed warranty. The second that I said he did work on my vehicle and the paint was cracking, he immediately started to weasel his way out and blamed it on factory paint. The only spot in the vehicle where the paint is cracking is where a deer hit it and 5D painted over it. A deer hits a door, you paint over it but it's the factory paint that failed; not your shoddy evaluation of the true extent of the damage or your inability to properly lay down paint. I took my car to get an estimate. My car hit a flying sheared tired on I 40 Tulsa. The sound board underneath the car got destroyed. We had the car repair in Arizona . It cost us over $400 dollars just for the part and $200 for labor. On our way back the same freak accident happened again. I took my car to 5th dimension. They submitted a $100 dollar estimate. My deductible is a $100. They did not botter to check for damage. I believe they purposely did this because the lady at the front desk had an attitude and she did not like when I told her so. I took the car to another body shop. The damaged was over $2000. Because of they low estimated the damage, now I have to fight my insurance since they had the audacity to submit the garbage estimate to my insurance. read more

We took our 6-month-old car in for repair for windshield and exterior paint damage from driving through construction zones. We had work done on another car by Fifth Dimension and were pleased with their work then. They were not contracted with our insurance carrier, who tried to talk us into using one of their preferred providers. We insisted on Fifth Dimension, who worked with our insurance company for us. IT IS ILLINOIS STATE LAW THAT ALL CAR INSURERS MUST COVER REPAIR COST AT ANY REPAIR CENTER THAT THE INSURED CHOOSES. My new car looks brand new again. Great service and results. At first, I was impressed with this place. The waiting room is nice and the staff friendly. My vehicle looked great once I picked it up. However, I took it for a ride and noticed a lot of wind noise. They gave me a courtesy car and told me they needed to apply some weather stripping. If I could stop there, I would. I picked the car up the next day and drove home. I noticed a rattling in the door. A mechanic forgot to connect the door lock in the door, so another return was required. The issue was fixed...for about three months. The noise came back, but when I called to see if it could be fixed, I was told too much time had passed for them to fix it for free. Great customer service up front, 10 yards from par on quality repair, and pretty shy of acceptable when it came to standing behind their work. read more

They are honest, and I like how they have the computer right in front of you, to show you the parts that need to be replaced when they pull up the model of your vehicle. They work with all insurance companies. I am really picky about my Ford Ranger Truck, and I feel they do a great job. I like dealing with one of the owners Ingrid. They were professional, honest, timely, and helpful. They took care of a body repair from an accident that I was in and my van looks like new. I got home and realized my automatic sliding doors weren't functioning so I called to let them know, they were quick to say come on in whenever was good for me. Then I received a call back after Leisel had researched my vehicle and she helped me locate the button that controls the doors over the phone that must have been switched off when they cleaned my van. Saved me another trip with my two small children. Another instance I was impressed by while waiting in their shop was an older gentleman who came in to have his vehicle repaired and he wanted to rent a car for the day.
