With an older car (assuming it is in good mechanical condition) and no collusion insurance, one…read moremoderately inexpensive way to fix that car after an accident, is to remove parts (especially body parts and certain mechanical parts, e.g., the radiator) and use them instead of new parts. However, it takes a good auto body shop with skilled personnel to provide that expertise and service. Central Illinois did an excellent job on my car; they even found a Kia sportage (blown engine) of the same color to use for parts for my car, to eliminate the cost of a new paint job. FYI, with insurance, the insurance company will often pressure you to select a repair shop that will use cheaper new parts to save the insurance company money. YOU MAKE the FINAL SELECTION for the repair shop, so work that has an insurance company behind it would ALSO be best done at a reputable and highly competent body shop, like Central Illinois.

The first thing I noticed about his shop was that Dave and his employee's were car people. He was willing to work with me on the price and was cheaper than any of the other places I received estimates from. The work was completed on time and looked great! I would not hesitate to come back to Dave's in the future and recommend this shop to anyone needing body work.

This definitely a shady shop. Most of the reviews that post positive for this so called collision…read morerepair facility, are made by the average person who dies bot know how to spot a good repair or a bad one. These people Rw hacks to the highest degree. They destroyed my new honda civic over something as simple as a new bumper replacement. After 8 times of trying to deliver the car back me, I took it. It still wasn't right. Initially they locked the keys in my car. Instead of calling me see if I had a spare set, they tried breaking into themselves, cause more damage than what it was there for. To make a long story short, every time they tried to fix their fuck up, they make 3 more. I was always the one to find it, too. They would never tell me. They are either incompetent, or straight up destructive and liars. The owner never once see stepped in to talk to me about it, either. Speaks volumes!!!!. Please stay away from this Butcher shop!
