I appreciate the guidance from Paradise Gym management, Chris and Jeff Magpantay, for helping me break out of my comfort zone and introducing me to training methods I had never really followed before.
Coming from a powerlifting background, I was used to lifting heavy for 3-5 reps. When they had me doing 10-15 reps, it was a humbling experience. It wasn't easy at first, but week after week I adapted. I came here looking for structure, accountability, and a plan to help build my strength while becoming more consistent, and that's exactly what I found.
I started my journey in the middle of March, and looking back now, I've been tested physically and mentally. My strength, patience, discipline, and commitment have all been challenged. Every time I check in for a workout, I make it a point to give 110%, even on the days when I feel sluggish or unmotivated. The results speak for themselves. I've become stronger, more confident, and more determined than when I first walked through the doors.
The environment at Paradise Gym is something special. It's family-oriented, welcoming, peaceful, and even therapeutic. But when it's time to work, everyone locks in and gets after it.
Coach Chris is there Monday through Saturday, always ready to help. Whether you have questions about nutrition, training, recovery, or simply need guidance, he's willing to share his knowledge and point you in the right direction. He's become more than just a coach--he's a mentor and someone you can genuinely rely on if you're serious about living a healthier lifestyle.
Jeff is the man with the plan. He doesn't just tell you what to do, helps provide moral support and lifts alongside you, pushes you, and helps you discover what you're truly capable of. You'll often hear him saying, "Slow and steady," or "Easy money," while you're grinding through those reps. Beyond the workouts, I appreciate the conversations we've had. Those moments have built a genuine friendship that makes the experience even more meaningful and motivates you to become a better version of yourself.
If you're looking for real change, consistency, and guidance, you have to commit to the process and give it your full effort--especially during those first 90 days. The coaches will provide the tools, but the work is ultimately up to you.
I fully support the vision of Paradise Gym, and I'm grateful for Chris, Jeff, and every member who's made this place feel like a second home. Thank you for believing in me, pushing me beyond my limits, and showing me that growth happens when you're willing to embrace the challenge. Here's to continuing the journey and becoming stronger every day.
