MP Auto Repair makes your bad day that much better!! I'm actually very thankful I have met these amazing people here at MP Auto. Its an honest, friendly family business that truly cares about you. I came in last Saturday with my sister's car that wouldn't start being afraid that it was bad gas from the DFW gas shortage panic. They updated me a few times EACH business day. By Monday I've learned of how much work they did testing each component of the car to diagnose what was wrong. At the end of it all it was just a bad SPARE KEY!! Wow, we put in the other key and the car started right away. Who knew that would be the cause. The mind blowing part was how honest MP Auto was. They told me what happened and charged me a fair price for the labor it took to diagnose the problem. I told them I would come in to pick up my car that same day and they were very friendly about it. Turns out life happens and I wasn't able to pick it up that day so they called me to make sure if everything was okay. I apologized and Hieu was so friendly saying no problem. I told them it was actually my sister's car and she would come to pick it up the following day (today). All around I have to say this is the dream car repair shop. This beats my favorite car repair shop when I used to live in Austin. I can say for a fact no matter where in DFW I will tow my car to MP Auto. I actually had my car towed from Fort Worth and I drove from Dallas since they were a good halfway point with amazing reviews. They were extremely courteous and truthful, explaining to her that her brakes had 95% of their life still left. I was worried they would try to scam me because I'm a college girl, but they were super kind, efficient, and informative! Every time I've needed them they've come through and have gotten my car back to me quickly and working so much better! My car pooped out on me with no good explanation in a town I'm not very familiar with. I looked to Yelp and found MP Auto Repair. I called and the first thing they said to me was....don't worry. It's going to be okay. We'll look at it and let you know what's going on.... everyone was SO nice and Chris walked me through step by step what he did in determining the issue. It's nice to be able to write a 5 star review for a change! Hieu & his younger brother are very friendly, but also honest in their assessments of a car's problem. For us, it was a routine a/c check for a newly acquired van and we were relieved that it only needed a charge and didn't have any leaks. It just had very little refrigerant. They also checked all the fluids, belts and hoses prior to our summer trip. He even offered to look it over one more time before we go on our trip, which we did. You notice a lot while in a waiting area of a shop, and what I could tell from Hieu's and his brother's interaction with customers, they really don't push for unnecessary repairs and try to help their customers save money. They take their time and give advice and feedback about customers' questions, which was refreshing. I saw them talk to a young, female customer, who wasn't familiar with cars, and they took their time explaining what needed to be done and what didn't, and what caused an engine light to come on and which type of shop can fix it. They don't need to deceive customers to squeeze out an extra buck. They make money by having a steady stream of customers, and repeat customers, from what I can tell. We also brought our other vehicle to them for a state inspection. See? We are repeat customers already! I highly recommend this shop, and they will tell you if there is something they don't service, and you'll get honest feedback about your vehicle. read more

I came in today with my traction control and engine check lights on after hitting a curb the day previously during a delivery job. My engine suddenly turned off on the way to the shop as well. I brought my coffee and laptop expecting to be there for a while. 5 mins after sitting down, they called me over and showed me what was going on. This is a very honest business. Im very well aware of what things should cost on a car and how long things should take so I know they gave me a good deal when I came in to replace a cooling fan. I have been to this shop several times and I must say they have never gotten it right......... They have repeatedly gotten it wrong and I'm tired of wasting my time and money. Now....... this shop talks a "good game", but doesn't deliver. The "straw that broke the camel's back" was when I took a car in and I already know the diagnosis, but MP Auto didn't look at the issue, but rather gave me a generic statement as to why I would need a completely new A/C system, which would have been over a $1000...!!! The problem with the car was that it simply had too much freon in the A/C system, therefore preventing the car from properly getting to an acceptable cooling level. MP auto car didn't even bother to check the freon level, but simply just looked at it and said 'You need a new compressor, a new this, a new that and then the cost of labor. The cost would have been $1000+ The actual cost of getting my car fixed by an honest mechanic $60 bucks...!!!! Honest mechanics are hard to find and when you find them, still keep both eyes open. read more

Long story shot, I got my car diagnosed with a certified dealership and they give me a laundry list of issues with ridiculous prices attached. The car starts acting strange and the weather soon follows, so I let it sit for over 6 months. While catching a Uber my driver mentions this place so I look at the yelp reviews and decided to have the car towed over 30 miles to it. They look thoroughly for all the issues I mentioned but none could be found except air in the system. I am very pleased with the service they provided and their honesty. While other businesses were unresponsive or already closed, Houng offered immediate assistance, came to my location, and identified a towing service that could get my car to MP.
