I found this place through several recommendations on an Arlington community group. Brian Crawford has built a reputation of offering honest, reliable service at a good value. Initially, I was a bit intimidated by all of the notices posted in their small office. There were a couple of notices about how diagnostic work was not free so I was a little concerned that I would be charged to have my car looked at. Thankfully, that turned out to not be the case so definitely clarify with them beforehand what kind of charges you may incur. I came here for a second opinion on some expensive work I was told I needed to have done on my car. Brian did a thorough inspection of my car and informed me he did not think I needed all that work done. I had planned on getting what little work needed to be done at his shop but it turned out that he did not even offer the service that needed to be done. In other words, he inspected my car for free and made a recommendation that resulted in zero work/revenue for him. He recommended another reliable place that could do the work for me. It turned out Brian's diagnosis was correct. I did not need all that expensive work done and he ended up saving me a ton of money. I will be using Brian Crawford Auto Care for my future repair needs. read more

Oh my goodness! I have used Brian Crawford for a couple years. They have saved me money several times. The first time I used them they saved me by being honest and telling me the real problem while others told me something else was wrong saving me 500$. Most recently I had a different car there for an issue. They spent a week working on it, diagnosing a problem, and fixing the issues they found. After it was all said and done the car still was not functioning the way they wanted it to function. They knew the problem but it was in the transmission and they don't do transmissions. I eventually had to take it to a transmission shop. Since they weren't satisfied with the resolution they charged me nothing for the things they did fix on the car. I have had nothing but amazing work from this shop. I will use them every time and recommend you do yourself a favor and land do the same. read more

I have been nothing but impressed by this company! My last car died and I had it towed to a place in far south Arlington. They quoted me about $3300 to fix. A friend told me to take it to Crawford so I had it towed there. They were able to fix my car for less than half of what the others quoted me! Now I won't take my cars anywhere else! My current car had a cooling problem, and they actually took the time to look up a warranty on a part and apply the warranty to me.. I'm sure some less ethical places would have kept the savings and charged me for the part! BEWARE!!!!!!! This a chop shop!!! My car started overheating and thanks to all of these fake reviews I took my 84 Datsun up here. They said that my radiator was bad and would cost about $350 to replace the completely un-functional radiator. I didn't have that type of the money at the time so I told them I would have to come back. They charged me an $85 diagnostic fee which I thought was a little harsh but understandable since they say claimed to even pressure test it. To save some money a friend and I took the radiator out ourselves, not an easy task. When took the radiator to a licensed auto shop to have them core and rod it for a temporary fix till I could afford a new radiator. Upon reviewing the shop determined that the radiator was COMPLETELY FINE with zero irregularities. After a few minutes of this shop looking at my car, they found out that the Thermostat was causing the issue. Went to O'reiley's and bought a new one for ten dollars, replaced it, put my still functioning radiator back in and my car has been working perfectly fine since. The shop I took it to that told me the real problem said that Brian Crawford never pressure tested the radiator and probably never even looked at it not to mention a diagnostic like what they claimed to have run should have picked up on a faulty Thermostat. I called Brain Crawford to try and get a refund for the $85 that they misdiagnosed my car with and his wife became very belligerent and unprofessional. She kept having to retract her statements cause she would incriminate herself by admitting that they were in the wrong and saying that the Thermostat has nothing to do with the engine temperature and hung up on me several times. I will more than likely take them to small claims court and fell bad for everyone that they probably lie to just to steal money from people. They deserve to be shut down and in jail for theft! read more

Proceed with caution. Every time and everyone I know that has ever come here has been treated disrespectfully! They rip you off with expensive labor and below average parts. Had my brakes fixed here and they put cheap China parts that broke a few days later and when I called to set up an appointment the lady refused to even hear me out and called me names like she was a little kid.
