I found MP Auto Repair on Yelp and I must say - I was not disappointed. I popped in a couple of weeks ago to find out what the code was for my illuminated check engine light. I've been going back and forth on getting various things fixed so I could get my car inspected. At any rate, Minh met me outside quickly and immediately got to work. Once his assessment was complete he advised me to go back to the mechanic that had been working on my car with specific things to address. Here I am a couple of weeks later, fixed car (and newly inspected too!) thanks to MP Auto Repair. I will definitely be back for anything they can take care of. It's difficult sometimes, not knowing much about cars, there are lots of shady characters looking to take advantage (especially if you're a woman) this was not the case here. I have been to about 30 car repair shops, not a single one of those is even close to M P Auto repair.PERIOD JUST THE BEST in the area --- and by saying the area mean DFW. The only shop makes me drive all the way from Irving. Just tell you yr car problems ,,, they will give you the best fix possible with a hella cheap price.. Great place & great service! Hieu originally quoted me a fair price on replacing my brakes. When everything was all done (which was super fast! 45 mins top) he told me it was easy job and charged me even less. Other mechanics would never do that. On my way out he wanted to check my fluids and topped off everything for free. Great guys and top notch service. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants and honest mechanic! read more

I normally don't use Yelp to find places for oil change but since I just moved to a different area, I had to look what was close to me. MP Auto is the best place I have been in terms of customer service and how fast they were. I called in to make sure if they were open, they basically put me on an appointment to come in which is great that I don't have to wait at the actual place. I was greeted by Hieu, and he quickly noticed some problems that I had which was easily fixed by them. He was very friendly and I felt like family even though it was my first time here. After being on my phone for like 10 minutes, they were already finish and I was so amaze how fast and clean it was! Came here today because 3 other shops declined to inspect my car due to mods "too low", or "can't inspect with aftermarket upgrades". The problem with my car was a clunking noise from the front of my scion FRS. It was a packed day and he still went out of his way and told me to stop by. On arrival i was greeted by Hieu, he test drove my car and narrowed the problem down to being my suspension. He fixed my front right coilover and I was out within the hour. A great and nice guy, easy to talk to. I tried to tip to say thanks but he wouldn't accept it. We took our van in with a mis-firing spark plug problem. They diagnosed the problem very quickly. They had to order a feul injector from out of state. They kept us informed of the progress and provided an upfront quote. The final price came in less than the quote. We were very happy with the diagnosis and repair. This will be a long review. First, I live in Flower Mound. Son and I were at the Fort Worth DMV for his driver's test. When our car broke down during the exam. I had to find someone local to take my car to and saw MP Auto Repair on Yelp with a very high rating. I called to ask if they work on Imports and was told yes so I had to have my car towed to a random auto repair shop to get fixed. Not only did they fix my car, they saved me money on parts. So a few days later when it came time to pick up my Volkswagen, I dropped off my Ford to get fixed as well. These guys are fabulous. I will drive to Arlington from Flower Mound any time my vehicles need to be repaired. Give them a try. You'll love them! read more

Updating my prior review from this excellent auto repair service company with my latest visit. These guys are great. Their work is quick, effective and honest. They aim to please and are successful. I just brought my vehicle in for its 100K service and these guys took care of my vehicle like it was their own. I also asked them to check my brakes to see if they needed replacing, which could be expensive. They checked them and told me the current ones still had some use left in them and weren't necessarily ready to be replaced yet. Most places would have simply taken your money and not said anything. I highly recommend these guys and look forward to my next visit, whenever that might be. I definitely recommend them to all my friends and family. read more

This family owned business is out of the ordinary because they are proud of the work they do, they enjoy working on the cars, and they understand about the need for repeat customers. A dealership had quoted an outrageous price to fix my car. I towed it to MP Auto for a secondary quote, which won my business. While fixing the timing belt on our car, they noticed the front rubber bumper hanging on by shreds so they fixed that as well. I realized that my air conditioner didn't blow cold when I got the car back so I went back to MP the next day. They explained that it didn't have freon when I gave it to them to begin with. (Stupid dealership) They added the freon for free. These guys are now my go-to repair guys for all 4 of our family cars. read more

So my daughter was having issues with her car. We took the car to Auto Zone to have the battery check and they stayed that the Alternator and the battery was possible going bad and that was causing the car to not start. Well we GOGGLE auto repairs shops and ended up and MP AUTO REPAIR when as soon as we arrived the instantly walk up and went right in on my daughter car. They checked both battery and alternator to find out both were in good conditions and that the tail light was burnt out and the pigtail needed to be replaced. They were all gentlemen offer us water or soda and let's us sit in their air conditioned lobby. Such great southern trust worthy Hospitality. I would recommend them for any services when it come to your vehicle. If they can't fix it they will recommend you to good quality professionals for your car. read more

If you're running an auto repair shop and getting all 5 stars, then you're doing something right. It's a family run business, they are honest and don't over charge. They fix only what's wrong and don't try to sell you something you don't need. I personally saw people would tow their cars from other repair shops because what others want to charge were outrageous. And even with towing included in the repairs, they are still saving money. read more

First time I went it was a good experience. After they got busier I was turned away two times because they said they were too busy. Why call a customer to the shop only to turn them at. Once they told me to leave the car there and called me back (after I took a taxi home) to take the car back because they didn't have space to keep it over night. That same day they told me the problem with my car were the gears. The car was stuck in 6th gear and that they couldn't fix the problem. I took it to the dealer, my car doesn't have gears, its a cvt transmission. Customer service is non existent, expertise is minimal, they are only good for very simple things like oil changes and replacing brake fluid (if they don't turn you away). The only reason I gave them so many chances was due to the owner but it doesn't seem like his team is on the same page. read more

He took the car to MP, they (father and son/owners), found the problem, fixed it and charged so minimal that my husband was insistent on paying them double of what they were charging him, they refused! Great service, shocking prices, and in such a reasonable amount of time. I'm going here for everything! Edit 01/25: so yesterday I went to the shop to have them look at my squeaking brakes. I stood at the front counter for 20 minutes and no one walked by, greeted me or anything so I left. The last time I went I got my oil changed and cabin filter changed, or so I thought. Today I went to get my air bags fixed for a recall at the Toyota dealership and they told my cabin filter has not been replaced recently... so not only did this shop lie to me they did not fix something that is in need. A few months ago my car was dying on the regular and I purchased a battery jumper complete with mini cables to bring my car back to life. I got tired of being embarrassed and my car dying so I brought Henry (that's my Honda) to MP Auto for a new battery. After a quick call, my battery was delivered and installed. Hieu is outstanding. Excellent better than dealer quality work done at this facility. The team is knowledge, prices are reasonable, and just as excellent is they adhere to their estimated completion time. It's small and doesn't look like much but as I've learned over the past 32 years what counts most is the level of excellence in the work and the superior customer service. The best places always seem to be the mom and pop hole in the wall places without a doubt. They'll even give you the option of original manufacturer equipment or aftermarket/3rd party. If there's anything they do not do they'll make a recommendation to go to the dealer for it and sometimes may know an excellent 3rd party. These guys are awesome! Super fast. Great price. And could not be friendlier. All I needed were the bulbs replaced and I figured they would need to order them and was worried that would take a while. Wrong. They had them hot shot some over and it only took about 10 minutes. In and out the door in 15 minutes. I asked about recharging the AC and the price they quoted me was about 30% - 40% lower than another shop. These guys are car guys. I talked cars while waiting. The place is a little hard to find, but totally worth it. Be sure you find the right place because there are half a dozen auto mechanics in the same spot. read more
