Luis and his crew were amazing! They moved a VERY large vintage library cabinet from my office to my home AND had to move it up a full flight of curved stairs in my house. They were very careful and efficient. I highly recommend them for any of your moving needs. read more

I want to thank Luis and Lee from the very bottom of my heart for making the move as smooth as possible. Luis and his team's very positive attitude, humor and resourcefulness have kept my spirit going during the move to my new place. Not only were my belongings unscathed from the move, he even fixed one of my cheap IKEA furniture on the spot before moving it to his truck. Mind you, I have this furniture for 10 years and I was never smart or diligent enough to fully fix it. Even duct tape couldn't do the job. I feel very fortunate to hire Moving Forward and I highly recommend them. Moving to a new place with so much belonging is never easy and pleasant. I will always remember them with a big smile on my heart for making part of a difficult life event as pleasant as possible. Again, thank you everyone at Moving Forward, including the lady who answered my call and scheduled me in early in the morning. Lastly, Luis, if you are reading this: I still keep my promise of giving you my big screen TV one of these days. read more

Francisco and Mario were totally awesome. Very punctual! They made a very stressful situation into a smooth move. They were very accommodating and didn't hesitate to help me when asked "I have a favor, can you move ...." they are my moving heros! I would totally recommend them. read more

Amazing service, last minute move. Living room and dining room. Heavy glass dining table. Everything arrived without a scratch. Luis and his crew even managed to get it in an old small elevator with narrow halls. Will definitely use Moving Forward again for my storage clean up and donation. They are the best. Personable, professional and best yet, on time. Thanks guys, you're the best!! read more

This is the best moving company in the whole Bay Area! Luis and his people are very punctual and reliable! They are very fast and careful with the funiture, they also offer you to put things together if some of your funiture was apart! I highly recommend them if you consider to move, you wont regret it! In case I would have to move again, this is the company to be with! read more

Luis and his team are incredible-- I am so happy I chose Moving Forward for our recent move! In the planning stages, he was very easy to get in touch with (some companies never pick up their phone!) and gave me an extremely reasonable quote. On moving day, they arrived right on time and got to work right away. They did not spare any time tackling things in perfect order with care, and packing all delicate items and furniture to ensure nothing was damaged or dirtied. There were even a few things like tie racks and knives that I wasn't sure how to pack and he handled them with ease. Moving Forward was so friendly, efficient, and professional I would never hire another moving company as long as I'm in San Francisco. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Luis and his team. Extremely fast, professional, so upbeat and positive through the entire moving process. His team used tons of furniture covers and seran wrap to make sure everything was padded and taken care of. These guys are awesome!!! read more

Excellence of excellence! Price is low, service is great, work is fast, attitude is outstanding and I like the name.

I reached out to these guys last minute with 3 or so days notice and they got back to me ASAP on Yelp messenger. After a few exchanges a date was set and my move was scheduled. This was my first major move and I thought I was ready! That was far from the truth. Luckily the Moving Forward team took care of me, showed me what they were doing, followed up every 30 minutes to ask if I needed anything, even went the extra mile to build me boxes and pack my clothing!!! That was not even the tip of the ice berg. Once they packed my entire house for me so professionally and neat, they arrived to my new home and put everything away so nicely. I didn't notice until that night but they put all my clothing in the closets and even put the closet boxes up on shelving. As they were putting together my beds they noticed one of the legs were broken. I knew about this and told them it was okay I'll try and fix it later. Without asking they fixed the issue probably 100 time better then I could! These guys are Amazon without a doubt!!!!! Don't waste your money anywhere else!!!!!!! read more

We moved in mid-August within Foster City. Luis and his crew were absolutely amazing! This is our third move in five years and they were by far my favorite movers. Everything seemed to work seamlessly from the estimate scheduling, crate drop off, pack day and move day. When they say they will arrive from 8-9 on move day trust them, they will be there and most often on the earlier side of their time frame, which I find so refreshing. Moving Forward made moving--which is painful for everyone--as easy as it could be. I went out to five companies for estimates (including several national chains), they were by far my top pick and they earn every bit of their excellent rating on Yelp. All of the crew work hard and efficiently, but are also polite and happy. Do yourself a favor and just pick Moving Forward for your next move! read more

Punctual, professional, and polite. They made my moving experience easy. I will use them again for sure.

This was my first time hiring movers and WOW will I never not think of calling these guys again! They showed up promptly, didn't let me lift a thing, and were out of my apartment in just a little over an hour. Not only that, but they are funny and engaging and make the whole process that more enjoyable. Thank you for a wonderful experience and for sharing in my excitement over this move! read more

I was very pleased with the service that my family and I received from Moving Forward. From start to finish Luis and his crew were very professional, punctual, and polite. We moved a 2 bedroom apartment into a 3 bedroom house, from San Francisco to Stockton. After checking with several movers in both cities we opted to go with Moving Forward. We did not regret it. And, we would recommend them to anyone moving anywhere in the SF Bay Area. In retrospect the only thing that I would change, is that when Luis recommended a 3 person crew to move us, I, trying to save a little money, said that I would help. After he informed me that if I were to be injured or if my possessions were to be damaged while I handled them, since I was not under is insurance that he would not be liable, and that he did not recommend this course of action, I insisted. I should have gotten the 3rd mover. In spite of us all working non-stop and all of us dripping sweat, we really could have used that 3rd crew member, and I could have relaxed, leaving it to the professionals. Thank you Luis, for keeping us Moving Forward read more

Not once but twice Louis, has taken 2 moving jobs on short notice, and the team has been extremely professional with how they interact to how they move your valuable belongings. 5/5 you will not be sorry using this company. read more

I've never seen a mover treat my mix of shabby chic and Ikea furniture with such care and attention than Moving Forward! They arrived right on time, wrapped and carried my furniture like it was a prized possession and even helped me take apart and put back together my bed frame. Did I mention they also fixed the leg of my couch which had been damaged from the previous movers I used? Overall great service and fair price. My only advice is to think about where you want everything placed in the new house since they help you set up. read more

The entire moving process was so much easier using Moving Forward. Setting up the appointment over the phone was simple. On the day of the move they arrived right on time. The movers worked really fast and were extremely careful with my stuff. Nothing was damaged at all during the move. I will definitely use Moving Forward again for my next move. read more

Luis and two other movers did an exceptional job moving us out of our SF apartment and completely exceeded all of our expectations for a moving company. They were prompt, professional, efficient, and extremely careful. They meticulously wrapped everything, and unlike many other moving companies, didn't charge for any of these materials. All of our fragile furniture and glassware arrived in perfect condition and exactly in the room we wanted it. Even the booking process was seamless. The people in charge of booking are friendly and knowledgeable, and they use an automated call back system if the line is busy or you call after hours. read more

The guys were great....prompt, strong, capable, careful and respectful. It was a very positive moving experience. I've already recommended Moving Forward to a friend. read more

I'm so embarrassed to say this review is way overdue! We hired Luis and his Moving Forward team in September to move us from San Francisco to Pleasanton. To say that Luis went above and beyond would be a gross understatement. If you're wondering if all of the five-star reviews on here are for real - believe it! We had so much more stuff than I ever expected when we did our walk-through. All the closets in our apartment somehow hid so much more than we anticipated. When moving day came we actually needed a second truck which meant another trip for Luis and his team. Luis never complained. He simply took care of it. In addition to that he brought us moving materials before her actual move date and accommodated a move date change on short notice. I just can't say enough good things about Luis and moving forward. If I ever have to move again - and I hope I don't - there would be no question about who I would call. I also really been trying to tell everyone I know that Moving Forward is the way to go in the bay area. They were super reasonably priced, were ultra careful with our stuff and again just did more than anyone could've expected as the move just did not go as planned. I'm forever grateful - thank you so much Luis! read more

I was a bit skeptical because the reviews all seemed to be extremely positive and all had 5 stars, but now I understand why. Luis simply provided the best service I have ever had, period. He scheduled the move on short notice, brought boxes to my house a couple days ahead of time after I sent him a text asking about what he had available, and switched trucks when he thought his truck might be too small for our stuff. He has all the right equipment to make moving easy. He was on time, courteous, and professional. I will definitely use Moving Forward again. read more

These guys were great. They gave a reasonable estimate, arrived right on time, got things moved quickly and carefully, and when they got done sooner than expected, brought the price down. They were very friendly and seemed to enjoy their work, so it made for a good experience for us all. read more

Simply superb - these guys are professional, fast and caring. I have moved before, but this one is truly the best from the first box out to the last box in. No casualties Very reasonable rates. I would definitely recommend to my friends and use again on my next move! Thank you so much and sorry about all those stairs... read more

Luis and his crew were very courteous and friendly. They arrived on-time and moved us out of our apartment quickly and carefully. They wrapped all large items in moving blankets and wrapped with plastic wrap, loaded up the truck, and strapped everything in securely. We originally only had (2) movers scheduled but another mover joined then midway through for no extra charge. Luis was kind enough to throw-in four wardrobe boxes (worth $40) we needed because our new house is undergoing a remodel and we needed the storage space. The entire move took (4) hours. Definitely money well-spent! read more

I was recommended by a friend since I needed help with moving to a new apartment in the city. I was very pleased with the service. Luis was so accommodating to all my requests. I highly recommend this company. read more

Three great guys helped us move our furniture. Easy to work with and thoroughly wrapped and protected our furniture.

Moving Forward did a great job with my move out of San Francisco. They were very flexible, showed up on time, were very upbeat and pleasant, the were careful with my furniture, while being very efficient on the amount of time for the move. All very much appreciated! Other companies were going to charge a huge fee for obtaining a parking permit and they needed two weeks to get the permit. Moving Forward understands the SF parking situation...and didn't require a permit which saved me a lot of money. They also timed it so they arrived right after the street sweepers...which ensured a spot right in front of my building. Thank You!! read more

I was in a bind to find movers as other moving companies were either booked or had unreasonable rates. Luckily Moving Forward was available able to move my furniture and boxes with great care, friendly service, and reasonable rates. Plus, Luis noticed I did not have a kitchen table and very sweetly came by a day later with a perfect sized table for my apt (and would not accept any payment!). Amazing service! read more

Luis and Co. couldn't have done a better job! They managed to move my entire office to two different locations in under 3 hours, all with a smile. Reasonably priced, friendly, and always cautious with your stuff, if you are looking to make a move easy, call Moving Forward! Thanks, guys! read more

Luis and Lee rock!! They are extremely professional and hardworking. The best part is they were so upbeat and just great to work with. I would highly highly recommend these guys to anyone!! Also very competitive pricing- beat out the other three companies I called. Thanks Moving Forward! read more

Luis (i think he is the owner) and his cru arrive on time as promise. all of them were very nice and polite, very quick and careful. everything was done in no time. i moved few times before, and i didnt had the greatest experience, but this time i was very happy with "moving forward". Great and efficient service! Cheaper price than other big moving companies, if you are hesitating because of few reviews on yelp, just call them and you won't regret! read more

Chose these guys based on a friend's recommendation, they were able to schedule my move hassle-free with 2 days notice. Luis and Francisco were on time and quickly got to the task of loading up my over-loaded 1 bedroom apartment. They took terrific care of my things, and re-assembled my stuff like pros. They even made a second trip for free when there were things that didn't fit on the truck the first trip (I have A LOT of crap) I have moved 4 times in the last 6 years for work, and these guys are above and beyond THE BEST movers I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I would book them again in a heartbeat! read more

We hired Moving Forward to pack and move us out of our second story flat (~1300 sq. ft, 2.5 bedrooms, 1.5 ba (6 total rooms)) in San Francisco to Oakland. They did a FANTASTIC job! Luis (the owner) visited our house a few weeks before the move to assess what size truck they need, and to give us an estimate. Luis recommended that we have two of his employees pack our kitchen the day before the move, and four employees on the day of the move. The day before the move, Luis and one of his employees promptly showed up to pack the kitchen. Everything was thoroughly wrapped and stored in sturdy plastic crates brought by Moving Forward. On the day of the move, Luis and three employees showed up to pack the rest of the house and move us. They were prompt, courteous, careful, and efficient. As I mentioned above, they packed everything fragile in sturdy green crates. Everything was wrapped carefully. They had to navigate steep stairs on both sides of the move. When we unpacked, nothing was broken! I can't recommend them enough. We used other moving companies in the past but they have all been inferior to Moving Forward! When we move again, Moving Forward is my mover of choice! read more

Looked for movers a few days before I scheduled my move and Luis was able to accommodate for the day and time I wanted - awesome! Price was reasonable and they were quick about moving my furniture. Finished well below the time frame I expected and they were very careful with moving items. Will definitely use again if I move. Nice guys and great conversation. read more

Is there a way to give 6 stars?! Luis is the best. He's helped us move three times now. Once, with less than 24 hours notice. Super affordable. Always pleasant. Takes great care of your things. read more

Moving Forward is a somewhat new company, but I was assured that Luis was experienced in the moving business. He and his crew did a fantastic job. I shopped around and felt they had really great competitive rates, so I went with them . They were very professional, polite, and friendly. I have moved many times in my life, and have not had the best experiences with moving companies, so I was compelled to write a review. I really appreciate the care they took in moving my furniture and their professionalism. There was no feat too difficult for them, and in San Francisco you have to deal with winding narrow staircases. Not a scratch! Recommend them to anyone! read more

These guys did a great job helping me move and even recommended a very inexpensive storage space for me. They were extra careful with my belongings and didn't charge me extra for the shrink wrap and wrapping my furniture. I would gladly go back to these guys next time I have to move. Thumbs up! read more

Moving Forward was the BEST moving company I have ever worked with (and that's saying a lot having moved pretty much every year for the past 10 years!). They were professional, efficient, respectful, patient and incredibly reasonable. We realized upon move-in that much of our stuff was not going to fit, and they stuck around (on MLK holiday no less) to move the surplus items all the way back across town to a storage unit - and even provided advice on the type of storage unit we needed. They doubled the amount of time for our move at last minute and barely even asked a question about it. And personally, Luis and his team were kind, warm and fair. I will definitely call on them again for the next move! read more

Moving Forward is excellent and affordable! Luis and Francisco were very careful w my furniture and efficient. I give moving forward my highest recommendation. read more

Luis and his partner were great! They were early, professional, and friendly. They work fast and efficiently. They moved our 10x15 storage unit (full from a 2BR apt) to our new place in San Francisco without any hiccups. They figured out how to build my furniture even though it was disassembled by the previous movers. I will definitely use them again and can highly recommend them to anyone. Great job fellas. read more
