Booking with Reliable Movers was a breeze from start to finish. Having moved around several times,…read moreincluding a recent cross-country move, I've had plenty of adventures with movers and this was the exact opposite of an adventure. We were given a quote and details regarding minimum timeframes and prorated amounts, and were able to book a move with relatively short notice. They reached out to confirm as well the day before our move, and on moving day the friendliest crew ever showed up at my door. Angel, Eric, and Will were professional, polite, and funny as well. They made me feel so comfortable and relaxed and were able to handle some unwieldy furniture with ease. When processing the payment the day of the move, the owner let us know we'd come in under the initial quoted amount as well - a pleasant surprise! While I'm hoping not to move again for a long while, if I had to I'd book with Reliable Movers again in a heartbeat.

There were several issues with our move. First, they were supposed to arrive at 10am the day of our…read moremove as we needed to be out of our house by 3:30pm. The night before the move the owner contacted us by phone stating they wouldn't be there until around noon due to a delay with a move that day. Given the recent snow storm we had, I could understand the delay. The owner assured me they would be done on time. When they arrived on the day of the move, the owner stated they couldn't do the move because our driveway was too steep. At no time did anyone from Reliable Movers ask about our driveway or access to our house. We were told this only hours before we had to be out of our house for closing. I was able to offer a solution and get them up our driveway. The team worked diligently to move our belongings quickly. However, upon unpacking the truck at our new house we discovered damage to several pieces of furniture and a new TV. The owner admitted he didn't bring enough moving blankets to adequately protect all items. Additionally their truck was not adequate to fit all of our belongings requiring us to quickly arrange for overnight storage. Overall it was a bad experience and I would not recommend this business.

You and your brother heard me complaining about the fact that you were not keeping with your "flat rate" and not doing the bed because it had a headboard attached. So I had to sleep on the floor. Here they asked a lot of questions to make sure they fully understood what was needed and priced accordingly. All of the people were professional and pleasant from the initital contact through the packing and moving team. Everything made it from PA to MA safe and sound so no complaints! You never know what you are going to get with a moving company and with the few moves I've done in the past 15 years I've been pretty lucky with decent service. I've used some local movers and some of the big names, and I have to say that these guys made this long distance move a great experience for us and I would highly recommend them. Andrew Wertz is the owner of the company. Apparently he purchased the company from someone else a while back and it was very obvious that he takes great pride in his work and holds his employees and contract hires to high standards. Everything was thoroughly explained and well coordinated for the move. The crew was very attentive to our requests and demonstrated the care of our belongings that you would expect for this price and level of service. While our stuff was in transit we received the appropriate updates as to the truck location and expected arrival time at destination. Packing and loading went very smooth and the only damaged item was a small MDF bookcase. Knowing that MDF furniture does not travel very well, I can't say I was displeased. That about summarizes it. They were polite, quick, efficient, and careful the entire way. They fit everything in one truck, loading and unloading with great care. Slight scratches on a few pieces of furniture were to be expected, only one insignificant stool had a broken leg, easily repairable. We paid $250/hour (they brought their own truck, would be less if we got one ourselves). We were overcharged for 30 mins of work due to a miscalculation in the hours. Randy sent out a refund check the same day. I was nervous to hire the company given the lack of web presence that they have with a half-completed weebly site, but we were referred by a local company who was not available for the dates we chose. We were very impressed and would hire them again in the future.
