I'm not new to moving, but moving has always proven to be an arduous and daunting process to coordinate. Add on working while moving and other additional stressors, and I was bracing for the worst case scenario. I went in expecting a nightmarish move like our last experience (with another company), only to be surprised by how smoothly everything went in comparison to all our previous moves. Only a few minor things were damaged - nothing we can't live without or get replaced. The 3 man crew who completed our move were cordial, and were very careful and respectful of the furniture and properties. Their team leader was experienced and imparted some helpful advice on how to fix the legs of my old upright piano that had been damaged in a previous move. While this job certainly went overtime, the cost was reasonable for our shoestring budget. These young men worked hard, and my family and I really appreciate their efforts and due diligence. I just moved from a townhouse to a larger house and have only good things to say about my movers. They showed up right in the middle of the time window they provided, were very friendly, had me show them around the house to give them information about what specifically needed to be moved, and worked very quickly. Scheduled a move with Fairprice movers. In the request we made clear how large the apartment was (2bdr) and the fact it was a fourth floor walk-up. No one contacted us for any additional details. The day of the move we had everything packed up and ready to go. The movers showed up, looked around, then drove off without saying anything. Let me repeat: the movers showed up, looked around, then left. While my wife and I were wondering where they had gone, they called from the road and said their boss would contact me about rescheduling next week. This was at the end of the month; the lease was up the next day. When we called the movers back, they hung up on us. When we called the main office they said they could reschedule next week. We told them this was unacceptable. Later, someone else called us and proposed the movers could come back for a few hours that day, then maybe come back and finish the job the next day. By that time we had found someone else to do the job Fairprice was originally hired to do. Absolutely unprofessional and a waste of time. read more

I've been quite content with the service Fairprice movers have performed. They're better than any other service company I've used so far. Moving into a big home across the city, these guys helped us a lot and provided a very cheap solution to our moving needs. I gave them the heads up, that I wanted to move about a week before the moving day, and they told me to just be prepared on the day. Rest assured, they came at around 9 in the morning and finished up by around 7 or 8. They're really nice and I loved their enthusiasm on the job. read more

My parents were moving cross country and all of the places close to them were quoting really high. We've used another moving company before but they weren't that good and ended up ruining some of our stuff. But finding Fairprice movers was the best! They quoted us an affordable price, especially since we know moving cross country can be very costly. Our main concern was how they were going to treat the furniture since we have a lot of older pieces that have sentimental value. It really helped that they were knowledgeable and kind! We enjoyed working with them because it was really easy and they kept us in the know the whole time. The move was as smooth as it could be and they arrived exactly on time. All of the belongings were in the same condition as they were when they were picked up! My parents were definitely happy with the treatment they received from the movers and even the way they put everything in their new home! The guys were Friendly, efficient, and on time. They moved a large two bedroom apartment in 4 hours and that included an hour drive. Price came in lower than estimate. Excellent service from these guys! We will be using them again for our next move! My husband and I just moved out of our old apartment into a nicer bigger one for our new bundle of joy coming next month. These guys did a phenomenal job with our furniture and all of our boxes! I was so impressed. Our old apartment had these awful what I call "DEATH STAIRS!" Basically 3 flights of wooden old steps then another 3 (narrow steps) for inside the building. These guys moved everything easily, safely, and quickly as well. When we got to our new home they even set everything up and help me figure out how I wanted my room and living room to look. These guys were amazing they even fixed one of my dresser drawers that was jammed. Highly recommend this company! read more

Let me start this by saying the crew who actually moved my belongings were FANTASTIC and I have absolutely no issues with them! The owner of the company, on the other hand, not so much. I was only asked how many bedrooms and stories my house was when I made the reservation for the move; to which I accurately responded. No one came to my house to look at what was being moved, no additional questions were asked. I was given a quote for 4-5 hours to complete the move with three movers. The crew arrived at my house with three people and said there is no way that this will only take 5 hours and we need more people. They also said this was not the first time they were sent to a job that was bigger and longer than what they were told. It took double the amount of time that I was quoted to complete the move. When I called the office, the owner was "not available" and would not be until the next day. The person in the office told me that it was my fault for not giving accurate information for the estimate- I have all communication in an email of what I was asked (number of bedrooms and stories in the house- that is it!). I was then told that it was my fault that I had more "stuff than in a normal two bedroom house". This would be a possibility if it took an hour maybe two, longer than the estimate, but not double the time. I still have received no communication from the owner of the company. This is an unacceptable way to do business and treat customer. read more
