Battery died on his drill and didn't have a proper toolset. That part was a nightmare. I ended up having to reassemble my bed myself. They put the couch unwrapped in the truck next to my bike and it got chain oil all over the couch. They did hire a steam cleaner to come and clean my couch and got the stain out. Like I said they did get the job done, but I was not as happy with the service as I could have been considering the price was similar to others in the area. Hopefully this review will help them identify weaknesses and improve their service in the future. In general, I don't think I would let any mover disassemble and reassemble my furniture in the future. This is the second time I have used movers to do this and both times it was not done properly. Better to take the extra time to do it myself and know it will be done right.

College Hunks Hauling Junk and MOVING did a SPECTACULAR job helping me with a complicated move and…read moredownsizing from a 2-story 4- bedroom historic 19th century limestone house in Hellertown to a 1-BR apt in Minneapolis. Booking them was a breeze. I just called, told them what I needed and when, and voila! the hunks showed up as scheduled! They were even able to accommodate some last minute requests I had to make. The "hunks" themselves were delightful: polite, efficient, hard-working young men who are a credit to their generation. Two of them loaded a pod with the belongings I wanted to take with me to Minnesota. Five of them came about a week later to clear out the things I wanted to donate or dispose of. I wish I had "before" photos of what my house looked like before College Hunks came in: messy, incredibly dusty bc of my admittedly poor housekeeping skills. Without a single complaint, they cleared away 4.5 truckloads of "stuff" in no time, and even swept the floors when they were done. I could tell they enjoyed and took pride in their work. Photos show the pristine condition of the house when they were done. Thank you, guys. You know, I've moved several times in the course of my 30-year career, and every move was a pain in the *ss....til now. You actually made this a memorably pleasant experience.

Dan, Frank and Sam must have gone up and down the steps of my third floor walk-up about 100 times yesterday. They quickly and efficiently got all of my possessions out of my apartment and into my new house. They wrapped everything so nicely and were super friendly to work with. We did however go over the time I was originally scheduled for, and I was so nervous to hear the final price, and was braced for the worst, but it only went up about $70. The communication prior to the move from Joe was proactive and clear so I knew exactly what to expect. Jose and his team arrived on time and I loved the text message telling me when they were en route. They packed up my apartment so quickly and they were also careful, making sure to pack everything well. Even with stairs, they unpacked at my new location very fast and even made sure we were happy with where everything was placed. Jose was easy to talk to and very professional about making sure we had a good experience. The team also worked quickly and finished the job in under the 6 hours quoted.
