I went in expecting a nightmarish move like our last experience (with another company), only to be surprised by how smoothly everything went in comparison to all our previous moves. Only a few minor things were damaged - nothing we can't live without or get replaced. The 3 man crew who completed our move were cordial, and were very careful and respectful of the furniture and properties. Their team leader was experienced and imparted some helpful advice on how to fix the legs of my old upright piano that had been damaged in a previous move. While this job certainly went overtime, the cost was reasonable for our shoestring budget. These young men worked hard, and my family and I really appreciate their efforts and due diligence. BAD BUSINESS!!! My…read moresister Jennifer used College Hunks franchise from Allentown to move on July 28, 2025. They guys damaged furniture and broke keys off in the locks on her toolboxes. She confronted them on the day of the move and they acknowledged that they did this in error. My sister opened a claim to have them repair/replace the keys with a locksmith because she is unable to get to her tools. As a recent widow - hence the need to move - she was doing everything by herself. Now she needs to hang shelves and TV's in her new home without her husband and she can't get inside the toolboxes to use his tools. She has called this company every week since her move. The phone number they give is to a call center and not the franchise owner himself. They keep telling her that someone will call or email her from the franchise - but they never do. Today she called and was told by someone named Evita that her claim was denied. She called me crying. She said they denied her claim because the movers said she told them to leave the keys in the locks. Who in the world would tell the movers to leave keys in locks? She gave them the keys so that could lock the drawers of the toolboxes so that they would not fly open when they moved them. I called and spoke to Calvin who said that there is no resolution that he could see in his system, and the claim appears open on their end, but he did see a note that said Jennifer was told the claim was denied - but he didn't know why. He said he would escalate a message to the franchise, and they would respond via email. I asked Calvin for a phone number for the franchise and was told they did not have one - everything was done through messaging. On a side note, on the day of her move, I spoke to my sister several times. They moved a shed and placed it hanging off the edge of the concrete pad it was supposed to be centered on. She said she smelled marijuana and assumed the guys were smoking pot. She also said one of them inappropriately flirted and made remarks to her. Having recently become a widow, I can assure you that she did nothing to encourage that outrageous behavior. They also broke a lamp and hid it behind a stack of boxes that she didn't find until weeks later. It was also a costly move. My sister was charged much more than the quote she received. And now on top of that, she will need to pay for a locksmith herself. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! I will be making several reviews and calling the Better Business Bureau if they do not reach out to my sister by end of the week to make this right.

Dan, Frank and Sam must have gone up and down the steps of my third floor walk-up about 100 times yesterday. They quickly and efficiently got all of my possessions out of my apartment and into my new house. They wrapped everything so nicely and were super friendly to work with. We did however go over the time I was originally scheduled for, and I was so nervous to hear the final price, and was braced for the worst, but it only went up about $70. They put the couch unwrapped in the truck next to my bike and it got chain oil all over the couch. They did hire a steam cleaner to come and clean my couch and got the stain out. Like I said they did get the job done, but I was not as happy with the service as I could have been considering the price was similar to others in the area. Hopefully this review will help them identify weaknesses and improve their service in the future. In general, I don't think I would let any mover disassemble and reassemble my furniture in the future. This is the second time I have used movers to do this and both times it was not done properly.
