Wow, I will never buy boxes at Walmart and especially bubble wrap. I mean I haven't moved in a while but didn't realize how expensive boxes and buble wrap was. These reviews are legit... i rarely take the time to do a yelp review but Chris, the owner, is awesome and I want this business to succeed. So here i am doing a yelp review. Moving boxes now has a simple model, do one thing and do it well. I ordered boxes online from Chris, communicated with him via email and text. He was on time and delivered what he said he would, at a fraction of the cost that my moving company was going to charge me. I even changed my delivery time and day with 12 hours notice and he was kind enough to accommodate me. He also carried all of my boxes up three flights of stairs and stacked them as neatly as possible. The boxes were in perfect shape and other than having some random warehouse shipping info on them, you would not know that they were used. Save yourself the hassle of stealing paper ream boxes from the office or trying to buy boxes off of Craig's list and then figure out how to get them to your house. Service was great. Chris who answered the phone was super nice and helpful. Boxes were delivered the next day and in the window they gave me. The woman who dropped off boxes was super nice as well. Only problem is the boxes are too tall. The smalls are perfect but the mediums are too deep, I thought they would be wider. Unfortunately I'm packing the mediums half way because I cant keep piling stuff on top of each other. I would use the company again but would order more small instead of medium and large. I was very impressed with this business. This is the first time we have bought boxes for our move or even hired movers. The website is very inviting and userfriendly, the pricing is reasonable and more than fair, not to mention the woman (Rita) who just dropped off our boxes was incredibly sweet and helpful- not to mention on time. The boxes are in great shape- you can tell some are brand new, some gently used but like new, and quality boxes (strong, not flimsy at all). I had never heard of Moving Boxes Now until a friend recommended them when I announced I was moving - first time in 12 years. Back then my box options were: 1) pay premium price for cardboard boxes that would most likely be tossed after use; 2) scour my office for appropriately sized boxes and take them home on the train. Neither of these options appealed to me for this move. I quickly went to their site, compared their packages/prices to those of moving companies and other suppliers, and immediately placed an order for the 2 bedroom package. I always err on the side of more boxes not less, and MBN made this extremely affordable. The package also came with 12 lbs packing paper and 4 rolls of tape. Delivery was on time and efficient, and when my initial count came up a little short, they returned the next day with the missing boxes plus EXTRA to make up for it. I've got three different sizes of excellent quality boxes - perfect for an apartment move. I also love that this is a small, local business, run by people who recognized a need, and are doing an excellent job filling it. Highly recommended, would definitely use again. read more

I am currently packing my apartment exclusively due to the efforts of Chris and his team at Moving Boxes Now! I called this morning, and the first thing Chris let me know is that they were insanely busy and absolutely booked all day. I appreciated that!! He didn't blow smoke and give me a "no problem, we can do it" response. After all, I called on Friday the 28th of June...so my bad. I asked if there was anyway to make an exception and still get me boxes today, even at the latest possible hour. Chris later gave me a call and let me know it could be done!!!!! 3 different sizes of boxes, 2 rolls of tape and clean paper to wrap anything necessary were delivered for $49 --- ridiculously reasonable. I told him he would have my first son named after him...and I mean it! One huge headache was removed from my list due to Chris and Moving Boxes Now!!! Thank you very much! Emailed Chris and he emailed me right back. I live in a small studio, but have a lot packed into it, and I asked him whether I should get the large or small package. Although he could have gone for the up-sell, Chris said the small package of boxes should be sufficient, and he added in a couple of extra boxes free just in case. Chris showed up with the boxes when he said he would, and the boxes are good boxes. They're gently used, and most of them were made of burly cardboard. One or two were made of slightly less thick cardboard, but were still more than sufficient. Highly recommend for the price, quality, service, and environmentally friendly approach. read more

This is great! Chris just delivered by 2 bedroom package of boxes, packing paper and tape. I am a single female and I cannot stress enough how relieved i am that I don't have to go buy or find used boxes, haul them in my car and up a flight of stairs. Many of the boxes I got look new and the used ones are in excellent shape, heavy duty and sturdy. Needed to find boxes to help a friend with a last minute move. Noticed a previous review and suggested my friend try it out. She called late in the afternoon and boxes were delivered the next day. He actually dropped off a few more than ordered. All were delivered flat, almost all were gently used, and there was only one out of 20+ that was a bit flimsy. Wow wow wow. Talk about a brilliant and perfectly executed service! I wish all companies operated this way. Like many other reviewers, I spent time trying to find boxes on the usual sites and on craigslist. All I ended up with was frustration. Then somehow I found Moving Boxes Now. Since I'd wasted time trying to get boxes elsewhere, I was in a bit of a time crunch. I placed an order at night and sent a desperate email asking if I could be in the morning delivery the next morning. Request granted. And the delivery guy could not have been nicer. Even gave me tips on how to pack, which was very helpful. As I made my way through packing, I realized that I'd need more packing paper, but not quite 20 lbs yet (which was the only option on the site). Again, I emailed Chris and he agreed to deliver more paper to me in the AM. He did so himself, and was also incredibly friendly. Use this company.
