I've used self storage units off and on for about 25 years. This is my favorite storage facility of…read morethem all. I had a unit here at this Grand Parkway location for nearly two years. I emptied it out a couple weeks ago (moved) and closed it but decided I wanted to get a much smaller unit for my needs, close to my new neighborhood much closer to Houston. After visiting three locations I was convinced that I was spoiled by my recent location. The other places had gates, with you having to get out of your car to put in your security code. Then driving around to find your building. No carts available. Sensor lights that wouldn't stay on after a minute, leaving you looking at your space in a very dim environment. And these were just a few examples of my disappointments. After experiencing those other public storage facilities, I went straight back "home" to the Grand Parkway location for my smaller unit. I would rather drive almost thirty minutes to use my home storage facility. There is no gate. You pull right up to the loading door. This place has one giant building with one entrance and with five floors. There are about five large flat carts to haul your stuff to your unit by warehouse elevator. You enter your code once in the elevator which will only take you to your floor once signed in. No code needed to exit. It's so easy to dump a handful of boxes or seasonal items. I'm in and out in a matter of minutes. With my disability, I would never have been able to deal with those other location's situations without a bunch of frustration. And there's always excellent customer service (lately in masks). My recent experience was with Mary. She was wonderful and even found my new unit a few doors down from my daughter's unit. (I brought her over shortly after I found this place. She was so happy from the extreme upgrade for less money!) All this to say I highly recommend this Public Storage location!

I've had a very frustrating experience with Public…read moreStorage, and at this point I am expecting corporate to step in and resolve this promptly & properly. On April 2, I made a manual payment of $53 after being told autopay did not go through. On April 6, I made a few calls to the property however, no one answered. I went in person to confirm the payment was received. The manager, JP, told me everything was processed and my account was fine. Now on April 15, I'm being told that same payment was returned for "insufficient funds" and I suddenly owe nearly $100 in fees. This is inaccurate. I had over $300 in my account at the time, so there is no valid reason the payment should have been returned. If there's proof needed I do have bank statements proving there is no reason the full payment shouldn't have been taken out of my account. What makes this worse is the lack of communication: * Calls go unanswered * Voicemails are not returned * No one follows up unless corporate is contacted * In-person, no real solution is offered I have been proactive every step of the way--making the payment, calling to confirm, verifying it in person, and trying to get answers. Despite that, I'm being charged fees for an issue that is not my fault. At a minimum, all late and additional fees should be waived, yet JP says he's unable to unable or unwilling..... despite proof of funds at that time he was not at all understanding and gave a generic we're sorry you feel that way. I'm sorry you don't like your job sir! Given the inconvenience, misinformation, and time I've had to spend resolving this, I also expect appropriate accommodation, such as a rental credit.i This situation reflects a serious lack of accountability and customer service. I would strongly encourage corporate to review this location's management and processes.
