If Angelica, Heo, or Anthony are part of your crew, you will want to make other plans. Friday May 31 we called Jose explaining how our original mover, from St Louis, had a medical emergency. Jose was sympathetic and tried to squeeze us in. On Saturday, his crew had said they would arrive between 11a and 1p with a big 26 foot truck. No one showed so we called. The big truck allegedly was stuck on another job so he would send a smaller truck but work out the rate. We were only moving 2 miles away so we rolled with it. The small truck arrived at about 2p (hour late). The crew (Angelica, Geo, Anthony) came in to our home. They looked around, then THEY LEFT BECAUSE THE JOB WAS "TOO BIG FOR THE TRUCK". I clarified that their boss Jose towas well aware of the size of the place, we sent him photos, and they had a small truck because the big one was stuck on another job. They didn't seem to care. Packed up the truck and left. I call Jose irate. He claims the crew was strong arming him for more money. At the time I believed it... Now I obviously know Jose is full of it. Either way, it's clear he doesn't have long term staff, just people off the street with a handful of blankets and maybe a hand truck. He said another crew would come there afternoon... They never did. The original crew left a dolly and hand truck in my garage because they are incompetent. They were gonna send someone to pick it up at like 645p... He came around 9pm... Again, to pick up his own equipment. Saturday night, I had a conversation with Jose. He promised to make it right. Again, being a gullible fool, I believed he would arrive between 12 and 2p as he said he would. He also made a big point about how he himself would show up for the move. Sunday, he kept sending me updates on how the morning move was going. Around 2pm he said that his crew was going to grab lunch and then arrive to start the move. Then... Radio silence. My wife and I called 10 times... No answer. Eventually he texted my wife a referral to a friend of his in the industry. That friend told us that Jose was starting out and had bitten off more than he could chew. It's nice to want to try to squeeze in a job to help some folks... But it's just cruel to leave people hanging... And then to be too scared to answer the phone when they call. Attached screenshots of the texts... We had some phone calls along the way. We we're lucky in that our move date was flexible and I had some awesome family to help me move boxes. But Jose and Expeditious Movers are simply unreliable in a business where so much depends on a tight timeline.

He told me Mon-Thurs is cheaper than weekends (as most places are) He NEVER sent over contract, we had verbal agreement to $115/3 guys/hr. He told me it's $30/hr for 3rd guy so $85/HR usual. BUT, that only applies on the 4th or something or other. He is a LIAR & con artist. I do not trust him nor would I use him again!!! If you do, get EVERYTHING WRITTEN because he will high jack the prices for "travel, Special Monday fees" etc It is seriously a joke. So aggravating all the excuses he used to price gouge my elderly parents. SMH. Took 6 hrs to move a 2 bedroom apt to a storage unit down the block when he promised a much shorter time frame. Was referred to Paul because we have a new 330 lb. vanity that had to be moved from our garage to…read moreour second floor bathroom which we were remodeling. Moving the vanity was tricky because the quartz countertop and the under mounted porcelain sinks were affixed to the vanity base, making the 72" vanity cumbersome, heavy, and prone to easily break if mishandled. Paul and his crew were professional, prepping the vanity by wrapping it with cloth padding and securely shrink wrapping it so that it was protected. They placed it on a motorized dolly/stair climber, something I've never seen, but it is so impressive. Paul and his crew carefully maneuvered the dolly up the steep stairs that run alongside the house to the second floor and in.through the patio doors. Their professionalism and the fact that Paul is experienced in knowing how to move challenging items gave me peace of mind. It's expensive, but in the long run, I didn't have to worry about a broken item. Thank you! I would highly recommend their services because they are reliable and know what they're doing!

A couple of days later it dropped to $4,500, and after I agreed again, another $250 gas charge was added. The required deposit also kept changing: first $1,500, then I received an invoice for $2,000, and after I objected, it suddenly became $1,000. He also insisted on Zelle or another non-reversible payment method and would not accept a credit card. I later discovered that the same operator appears to use multiple websites and business names for similar moving services. After so many changes in price, deposit amount, and payment terms, I did not feel comfortable proceeding and would strongly recommend that anyone considering this company do thorough research before sending any money.

He showed up to my house looking like he hasn't slept in days his pants were falling off his ass. He kept dropping my items I caught him multiple times dragging my items across the floor. The two guys were new and didn't even know how to move items correctly. caught them multiple on their phones on social media and recording the views to our place. one kept taking smoking breaks as well. My husband was helping out the whole time because they weren't moving things properly! I've moved my kids multiple times with shady movers (I have stories!) and this was a walk in the park. First of all , my quote was done over the phone through FaceTime. Steve knew exactly what he was doing and asked all the pertinent questions. His quote was fair and extremely accurate. Before the scheduled move we were able to move quite a few small boxes and items ourselves as we had access to the new home. Steve was happy to adjust the quote (through FaceTime again) and it was astonishingly accurate. The crew was fantastic! Adan was the crew leader and all the men were very proficient in packing, moving and communicating with us throughout the day. They were all friendly and very accommodating to how we wanted things placed in the new home. Also, Brenda in the office was quite helpful with scheduling the move, explaining the billing, and answering any questions we had. Cannot say enough good things about this company. As I said, we've been burned by other companies so I was relieved to have such a pleasant experience with Prager.

(our stuff went to storage for 8 months while we were in furnished housing). I would recommend this company. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that there was one temp worker helping to pack who seemed kind of "slow" and talked on his phone occasionally throughout the day of packing. On the receiving end, 8 months later, the team in NJ/NY were just as efficient and professional! Way to go guys!

I gave her an accurate account of the items I would be moving when and where and I received a quote in about 20 minutes. The day before I received a call regarding the move to confirm and see if I had any major changes that would change the quoted price. On the day of the move the movers arrived a little late but it didn't bother me, my move was scheduled for 9-11 and they arrived at 930 and still I was out by 11, I had a 1 bedroom apt on the 4th flr. My entire move was done by noon!!!! They had gotten to my new place unpacked reassembled items they took apart and put things where they were labeled, ie basement bedroom kitchen etc. The only complaint was that I wish they had told me that they were going to have more people moving me, the paperwork said 3 but it was 5 guys so I didn't have enough money for all the tips, but I guess they worked it out. Clearly this difference made a huge difference though I'm not sure why. Setting up and arranging was easy, they were polite and provided a great quote of $650 for 3 men for 5 hours of move of a 2 bedroom. This sounds great to me and I book. Day of move goes okay however they took a very slow time moving things downstairs, acted surprised I had a flight of stairs when I told them multiple times in the arrangements, and dropped several things one being an inherited framed tapestry from my grandmother. This would all be fine except when we got to my new location they were clearly exhausted (2 of them are not in "moving guys shape") and almost irritated they had to finish the job. Like...that's literally what I am hiring the service for. However, what really tipped the scales was by the end, because it took them 2 hours longer than anticipated they doubled the price to a bit over $1200 and then had the audacity to ask if I was going to tip! I was, and had the money ready but how dare you flat out ask for it! To add insult to injury after they left and I tipped I found the broken tapestry. Additionally, they put heavy boxes on breakables and though I inventoried and labeled each box with the room it should go in they threw them literally in the almost opposite direction. The littlest mover, was the best. He was friendly, professional and darn strong for being so small. He worked his butt off and if I could've given everything to him I would have. Asking them about the tapestry I inquired if I should go through my insurance or theirs. They suggested theirs and then led me on a goose chase for a week before reverting back and saying I should go through my own insurance. For the fact that I didn't really save any money here by going with Crescent I would say absolutely choose another vendor.
