So, here we have Carson City's newest pizza place. It just opened Wednesday. I came on a Friday for the lunch buffet. Buffet includes a large salad bar as well as an assortment of hot pizzas all you can eat for just $12.99. Drinks are extra. They also have beer if you want. This buffet seemed like the best way to sample the different pizzas they have. It starts at 11 am and ends at 2 pm. weekdays only. The insides are all clean and new at this point, there's even outdoor dining too. Napkins are at the tables, cause you're gonna need em'! Me and a friend get here a few minutes before 11 am. They put out the first pizza exactly at 11am. Then they kept coming out with different topping 12 inch pizzas. I liked that the crust was crispy on the bottom and the slices were not all floppy. Lots of toppings and cheese, so the pieces were very filling. Way better than that other pizza buffet we used to have in town. I think this is my new favotite pizz in town over Pizza Factory. The crust might be a little better at Pizza Factory, but the toppings are better here. As we ate, they kept bringing out more pizza to the buffet, so there wasn't anytime where you'd go up there and say "hey where's the pizza?" The clean plate situstion was kinda weird, didn't seem to be any spare plates at the buffet. Usually at most buffets, you're supposed to get a clean plate each visit, so I just used the plate I was giving again and dumped the scraps in to the trash can. Prices for the made to order pizzas seemd kinda high, but maybe that's just the price of pizza now. That's why I think the buffet is the best deal, and it's all you can eat with a salad too. Upon our first visit, we were extremely disappointed by what we observed. Several employees appeared to be smoking marijuana and consuming alcohol while working, which is completely unacceptable and made for a very uncomfortable experience. I have also heard concerning reports from former and current employees about the way this establishment is managed, including allegations that family members are allowed to come in, drink alcohol, and eat pizza throughout the day while non-family employees are treated poorly. Based on our experience and the concerns we've heard from employees, this establishment appears to have serious management and workplace issues. I hope ownership takes these concerns seriously and makes significant changes to ensure a safe, professional, and respectful environment for both employees and customers. read more

1st time at Mountain mikes in Carson City and will be the last. The place is clean,the order was ready to pick up and correct and the staff clearly knew what they were doing but the food is average at best. The wings,as bad as I've ever seen, tiny pinky size fatty wings that never saw a crispy state,blue cheese...meh,low quality w/cheap mayo profile,zesty aloha sauce is the same sweet chili sauce found on any store shelf,stingin honey sauce is corn starch sweet & not stingin' anything. Finally pizza ! Well damn, disappointment edge to edge,large pizza 1/2 Robbers roost,1/2 snowy alps & neither one had a good flavor profile in fact they both kinda tasted the same and probably due to the absolutely boring,flavorless crust that lacks palatable texture. We had a couple slices of each and concluded it wasn't a good pizza or a good value at $30 for 14" pie & picked at a few more slices but ultimately, the half pizza remaining is going into the trash. We had to try out the new pizza joint since we are huge pizza lovers. When yoh walk in you are treated by very friendly staff. The menu is easy to read and you have many options. We got The McKinley with added mushrooms and mozzarella sticks. We got the pizza rather quickly and they bring it right to you if you dine in. The mozzarella sticks were delicious! The pizza was pretty good as well. Just the veggies were still pretty raw. The cost is pricey as well for pizza and much more than I expected to originally pay. We might come back and try out other pizzas but will be getting a much smaller pizza next time. read more

We usually wait a couple of months before trying new locations. But this MM has been open a couple of weeks now. Awesome service, awesome pizza. A bit pricey though, more than Roundtable. It is worth it though. Ambiance is basically a pizza sports bar. Several TVs to watch and some video games for the kiddos. Nice place all around. I'm sure we'll be back. read more

We were first time customers. I have heard great things about mountain mikes pizza. The service was average, it is an order and sit style restaurant, so not much to expect from the servers. We had a large pizza, an anti pasta salad, Montreal sticks and drinks. They serve Pepsi product but no Diet Pepsi. I asked and was told that Pepsi no longer makes Diet Pepsi NO TRUE. The Salad was not great at all . The cheese sticks also below average. So we were excited for our pizza it came out hot but I will have to say it was certainly not good at all. The bottom was cooked but the dough was not fully cooked and the amount of cheese left a lot to be desired. If Thai was just a quick takeout pizza place no concern but this was a $70 meal. We will not be back. I am so sorry I do not like writhing poor reviews but Mountain Miles needs to make some pretty big changes. read more

You guys were in the Taste of Downtown this year, and it was great. My husband and kids loved it. We just ordered last night for a half and half with the mini churro bites that were to die for. Was so excited to try this new pizza place. However,it didn't live up to the hype. The toppings have great flavor and that's about it. The dough has a weird texture and the Italian dressing from the salad bar was very tart tasting. Service was okay,nothing super special. It's been a long time since I had their pizza. In the 80's one of the original restaurants was on the central coast. The Carson City place although more takeout oriented still had great tasting pizza. Great service and friendly atmosphere. read more
