Camarón cucaracha i think. It's crispy shrimp. Delicious.

I think we shocked the waitress with our group size (13) but she got it together and did an amazing job with our visit. We each had some sort of meal with two beer buckets and I was surprised at how affordable it was. It was quiet and had music playing softly. We were able to conversaste comfortably without having to yell. We are not from the area but while we were in here we felt like we were at a local restaurant in our area. Good food. Good service and good prices.

One and done. Loud mexican music. Chips and salsa OK. Terrible beef fajitas. Overcooked tough shrimp. Disappointing experience.

Ambiance: Relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere with Mexican-inspired décor and cultural touches throughout the restaurant. There was a steady flow of guests, giving the place a lively but comfortable feel. Restrooms: Clean and decent, although a bit outdated. Service: Friendly but somewhat disorganized, possibly because we had a large group. The waitress initially told me the bartender was busy, but later realized she had never entered my drink order. She apologized and removed it from the bill. She also brought the wrong entrée for one of my friends but corrected it promptly. On a positive note, she graciously accommodated another friend's custom drink request even though it wasn't on the menu. Chips & Salsa: The first basket is complimentary. We were told additional baskets normally have a charge, but during our visit we were offered unlimited refills. Food: Fresh, authentic, and generously portioned. Recommended dishes: Salmon Atlántico, Fish Tacos, Artichoke Dip, Enchiladas, and Bistec.

The each of the proteins in the tacos were cooked perfectly and flavorful with sauces that complemented them. The coconut shrimp were mouth watering good! Unfortunately tonight we only had water as every drink we ordered they were out of (including margaritas ). We definitely will be back and hopefully the bar will be better stocked.

The birria and quesabirrias are absolutely delicious--very flavorful without being overly salty. I also loved the combination of condiments. Nothing was overwhelmingly spicy, but if you like more heat, you can definitely request it. The service was excellent--attentive, cordial, and respectful. The ambiance is definitely a small, hole-in-the-wall type of spot, but honestly, don't let the size fool you--the food is delicious! Sometimes the best food comes from the smallest places. Highly recommend giving this place a try!

This location is not a flashy place, it is very simple. But, the food is incredible. I opted for a simple order of carne asada tacos and al pastor tacos. These are my barometer dishes to guage the quality of the food. Both of the tacos were wonderful. The carne asada was seasoned and grilled to perfection. The al pastor was marinated and juicy and so full of flavor. The sign to me that this spot is focused on the food was the handmade tortillas. It takes a lot of effort and skill to be able to make perfect corn tortillas! The ladies behind the counter were so friendly and I could tell they put a lot of love into the food they prepare. I will recommend this spot to anyone that is looking fro great food in North Carson.

And the food tastes just as good, and the same, as it did back in the 70's. For most of my life, I always ordered the chile relleno lunch special or small dinner, but this past year, I've moved on to the cheese enchilada lunch special. Equally as tasty. And my mom today had the melt in your mouth goodness of the Tacos Nacionales lunch special. If you know you know, and if you don't you should absolutely try it. Service is always super friendly, and the restaurant is warm and inviting.

Nice and crispy, served with rice and beans. A satisfying dish. My husband got the fajitas with steak. Their portions are huge and the amount of meat they gave him was definitely a value with what they charged. I also, had the best horchata there. Not too sweet and perfectly balanced with just enough cinnamon. The best item I had there. The 2 items not worth getting is the shrimp tostada. Literally a boring ice berg lettuce salad with cold shrimp filled in a tortilla bowl. And their choco-flan. The cake part was dry and hardly tasted chocolate. However, the flan layer was pretty good. Maybe just order the flan. This is an old place that could definitely use a renovation. The place over all is just dirty. Everything needs an upgrade.

The employees are always attentive and do a great job checking in on customers and keeping drinks refilled. The food comes out quickly and is always good. Sergio at the bar deserves a special shoutout. He's constantly doing his thing, making sure everyone is doing well and that their drinks are topped off. You can tell he genuinely cares about providing great service. The restaurant is clean, the service is excellent, and the food is consistently good. It was just birria in a tortilla with cheese, and the tortilla was extremely hard and oily. The consome on the side was heated up on the warming tray, which was a shame because it was supposed to be a flavorful sauce. The rice and beans were also burnt and hard, which made the meal even more disgusting. I wouldn't come back here if my life depended on it. Whoever claimed this restaurant to be authentic was clearly not an authentic Hispanic. If this is authentic, then my microwave is a Michelin-star chef My younger brother had gotten the chicken quesadilla, and the chicken was flavorless. We also ordered the fiesta sampler, but the nachos were burnt. My mother got the carnitas fajitas, and the rice was hard, the beans were burnt, and the guacamole was warmed up as if it was warmed with the warming tray. That's how all the beans and rice were on every plate. The service was just okay. One of the women who served us was very nice, but the other lady was rude and seemed like she was rushing to get away. The ambiance was alright, but it didn't make up for the terrible food. 0 stars if I could.
