Murphy's law breakdown Memorial Day weekend. Whirlpool frostless refrigerator /bottom freezer. Refrigerator not keeping food cold. Freezer working fine. Joe checked compressor, two fans, all working. Took photos to Mountain Maytag on Sunday for parts. Tony was in, said it was probably a Whirlpool motherboard. Fortunately not LG or Samsung parts are back ordered. Scheduled Tuesday afternoon service call!!! Ken had motherboard and was able to install. Opportunity to clean behind the refrigerator, the floor and the inside. Did lose a few vegetables, and milk but most refrigerator contents went into our garage freezer. $400 repair sure beat having to buy a new refrigerator!!!! Mountain Maytag was actually a recommendation from another appliance repairman. My four year-old Whirlpool washer was having an issue with a fault code. While my own troubleshooting was correct, there was a second wire that was shorting. I had an appointment on a Monday, asked them to move it up if possible, and they came out Friday to take a look. Ken did a great job diagnosing and fixing it before my birthday dinner. Great work. I will definitely use these folks for appliance repair going forward. read more

I don't like the first step when I have a problem. Second step is I call them or email them to describe a problem. Third step is making appointment. Fourth step is the repair man comes. Today, I needed to fix my Maytag dryer and needed help troubleshooting my issue. Tony offered to test my heating element if I brought it down. When I came down, we verified it was working and he gave me 3 recommendations to to troubleshoot. Dryer had been making a squeaking sound for a minute. After researching the cause, I contacted the store to purchase a rear bearing replacement kit. The one they had was opened and missing parts. Sales rep stated that he could order a new one from the warehouse and have it in the store by Monday.Monday comes. No kit. Tuesday. No kit. Wednesday I walked into the store and asked the rep if the kit would be in. He stated yes and that they had accidentally sent the kit down to Colorado Springs. (Yeah, THAT Colorado Springs.) He stated that it would be in by this evening. I got the call from them around 4;30 pm. that the part had arrived. I went to the store within the hour only to find that they had re taped the old, picked over kit and tried to pawn it off as new. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM FOR ANYTHING! DO YOUR RESEARCH! I went in to Mountain Maytag in Aurora to see if they had some parts that we needed to repair our Maytag refrigerator. I wanted to do business with a local business rather than automatically ordering parts off the internet. Their prices were a little higher, but since they were local, I was willing to pay a little more. They did not have the parts, but the man I talked to said that he'd be able to get the one part for me the next day. They said they had another part that could be substituted for the other one I needed, and I could just pick them up the same day. He wrote the parts I needed and my phone number on a little notebook and said he'd call when they came in. I never heard from them the next day, and when my husband went by after work to check, the man said they weren't in yet, and my husband could tell that he hadn't even ordered them. My husband told him to just let us know when they come in. Meanwhile, we ordered the parts off repairclinic.com because we needed to repair our refrigerator as soon as possible! It is now 9 days after my husband asked about the parts, 10 after I ordered them, and we have not heard one word from Mountain Maytag. I'm so glad we didn't pay for the parts up front.... read more

As I sat down to write this review I had to think back to when we first used Mountain Maytag as it seems that they have always been with us. We were taught that Maytag was the best investment and called on them 25 years ago. Since then we have purchased only Maytags and their price, value delivered and service commitment has been perfect all those years. Our Children are all grown and they use Mountain Maytag for their needs and we appreciate that our children get the same great service we have received all these years. We refuse to shop in the Big Box stores because they simply just don't care. We have done something with Mountain Maytag that we have only done with 2 other companies. We have asked them to feel free to give out our name and contact information to any customer/prospect that wants to talk with us first hand. In a world where mediocre service really stands out, this family owned and operated business is a leader in good ole fashion customer service and product knowledgeable people. This is my first ever review on Yelp, but want to give my experience with Mountain Maytag. My son purchased a home in 2010 and bought a used washing & dryer and an overhead microwave from Mt. Maytag in Aurora. He didn't pay a lot. They installed the microwave, delivered the W&D units to the basement had to go back to their shop 2X to get some parts for the W&D. I really don't know the technical stuff, but the house was a repo and lacked some normal plumbing attachments, they went out of their way to make sure that the units were installed and worked before they left and never charged us for the extra time, parts or delivery. They were outstanding! I was so impressed with their service that 2 years later the overhead microwave in my home broke and I went to the Mountain Maytag site in Denver because it was closer to my home and purchased a pretty expensive overhead microwave from them. They installed it- no issues. I am looking to purchase a washer and dryer and am planning to visit Mt. Maytag and I found this Yelp review. I find this business to be very honest and trust worthy. It is terrible that someone would write a negative review and not even know what business they are talking about, we need to keep honest business' or our only option will be big box stores that could care less about service. read more

My wife and I had just recently gotten engaged and she went to find a washer and dryer for our new house. The gentleman at Mountain Maytag initially said it would take 2 weeks for the washer/dryer to arrive, over course of the next several months we called over a dozen times and the washer/dryer arrived over 3 MONTHS LATE. They would tell us it was coming next week...next week...it always next week, but it didn't came until three months later. IT IS VERY FRUSTRATING TO BE CONSTANTLY LIED TOO. But that is just the start. The day the washer/dryer arrived and were installed in our house, I realized that buttons were pressed in and you could not get them out without using a screw driver. I called that day and they said since the appliances were already installed it must be a manufacturer default and THEY WERE NOT RESPONSIBLE EVEN THOUGH THE PROBLEM OCCURRED THE DAY MOUNTAIN MAYTAG INSTALLED THEM. Still the saga of the terrible experience doesn't end there, the washer doesn't drain and THEY REFUSE TO HELP. Calls and calls turn into more EXCUSES. I don't know about any other options for appliance retailers, but I do know one thing, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM MOUNTAIN MAYTAG. read more
