My wife and I had made a small purchase for appliances in the past in which the experience was mediocre, so we've decided to give Arvada/Corn Appliance a second opportunity. We went to purchase a refrigerator in which they did not have in stock. The majority of their appliances and options to view on the floor are minimal. We were called back once we left as the same appliance at Home Depot could be purchased and delivered on a specific date - which did not end up happening. We received multiple/several phone calls from different people on agreed upon delivery dates. Someone would call at 9 with a delivery time and then someone else would call at 1 for a different delivery time - they're communication is horrific. Lastly, the installers weren't able to level the refrigerator and also broke a shelf while disassembling/assembling the new refrigerator. I had to be proactive and request a new refrigerator shelf. I also had to call and follow up to ensure it was ordered and when I would be able to expect arrival. I was told I would be contacted once it arrived January 30th; I have still not heard back from them. I ended up purchasing a new shelf from Lowe's and am simply waiting to see when (if) they will call me back for the arrival of the shelf. The prices are no lower and/or different than Home Depot and/or Lowes and at least you're backed up a functioning and communicative customer service. read more

Highly recommended. No need to look anywhere else in my opinion. After taking care of a 12+ year old Washer Dryer pair we loved it was finally time to move on when the washer died. We decided to go with Speed Queen and called around for different options. Corn's is only able to match the price on the Speed Queen website but was able to give us a very generous credit for our washer-dryer pair and also made sure we were able to take advantage of some rebates Speed Queen was offering at the time. Working with Brad and his team was a pleasure. We live in Colorado Springs so were conveniently able to take care of everything via phone and Zelle/Venmo payments including delivery to our garage and pickup of the previous sets. Ordered a new Speed Queen from them. Liked the experience in the store, but the order got messed up and customer service was bad. On the day of planned delivery (I took off work to be there), I was waiting quite a while so I called the store. I find out that the machine I ordered was somehow lost. Bradly told me he'll make this up to me. Ok, mistakes happen. For the next two weeks, I'm strung along, told that delivery will happen on X day, and then it doesn't. Then on another day, and then on another day, etc. and no delivery, until two weeks after the original delivery date. And every time--I am the one who has to call for an update. I wouldn't have gotten any information from them had I not called. No proactive customer service/updates from them. During one phone call, an employee told me that Bradley was going to refund some money because of this and that never happened. I called a couple weeks after to ask about this refund. I spoke to the same employee, and he remembered the conversation and said he'll talk to Bradley. And I haven't heard anything from them. Installation guys were great. On a side note, the TR series, not finding the cleaning action to be great. Have to use the heavy duty setting to get a good clean. Wishing we went with the original TC. But with the heavy duty setting I guess it is all right. read more

I had my kitchen remodeled for built-in appliances several years ago. Unfortunately, now when I need new appliances my choices are regulated not by desire but by size. I explained my problem to Brad at Corn's Appliance & he came to my home to double check the measurements for my washer & dryer. Brad also checked the venting which is a problem at my house so I'm no longer concerned about an accidental fire. Back at the store we settled on a washer & dryer. They cost half of what I would have paid at a big box store. I'm so glad that I found Corn's Appliance Store. I believe Brad treated me like a family. I will buy all future appliances from Corn's. We've made a couple of purchases from Corn's now and I have to say... if you're looking for appliances for your home whether it's a renovation, a house flip, or like in our case, a new home purchase... Corn's really needs to be your first stop. For example, we just purchased a standup washer/dryer which was brand new/never used. This washer dryer would have easily cost $1500 + at Lowe's or Home Depot. We worked with Brad and he made us a deal we couldn't refuse and let's just say that we're more than thrilled with our purchase. We've also purchased a refrigerator from Brad that was a fraction of the retail price that we would have paid anywhere else. Between the refrigerator, 2x washer/dryers, a double oven and the mini-fridge that we've purchased from Corn's ... everything has operated beyond expectations and the Corn's team is always extremely helpful and provide excellent service along the way. We will continue to spread the good word on this place because there are not many businesses that you can find these days that take care of customers like the Corn's team. read more

I'm very sad to post this negative review as we enjoyed fabulous service from Corn's Appliance since 2016. 2021 turned out very differently and I think customers should be aware that they could encounter difficulties. We had delays and unresolved problems with two appliances. The result was many wasted hours on the phone trying to get a solution and a loss of around 1,000.00. 1) Dishwasher #1 delivered to my father's house. We selected a high quality model and it worked beautifully. However, after a couple months, we noticed that it hadn't come with the pull out filter in the interior floor. We called to get the filter as soon as we noticed, and it took several calls and a lengthy delay before we got the part. Unfortunately, it seems that in that time, food waste has gotten into the plumbing and the dishwasher broke after the warranty was up. So we were out of luck. 2) we ordered another dishwasher for a rental..it hadn't been delivered for over a month so we called. And called. and the tenant also texted. Turns out it hadn't been put on the schedule so it took about two months to deliver. Shortly after it stopped working. Because Corn's didn't have an exact date of delivery, and it was right around the time the warrenty would have expired, they offered to replace. Once again, calling, calling, calling. Finally we got a black dishwasher delivered--we had asked for white. More unreturned calls. Finally we gave up and got a dishwasher from Becker appliance in Denver--zero issues. I'm not sure what has happened behind the scenes at this formerly great company, but whatever it is has resulted in immensely disappointing service. read more

As a family of 8 washing and dryer is a never ending battle for us; about 2 weeks ago, the washer which we purchased somewhere else 4 years ago, decided that it was no longer going to spin the water out of the clothes And the detergent was not getting rinsed out properly. After contacting Brad he discussed with us the Speed Queen washer and dryer. He quickly responded with delivery and after having them installed within 24 hours the smell of the clothes, the quietness of the washer and dryer while running and just the cleanliness of the clothes!! Purchased two speed queen dryers (coin op) from these guys. They added the coin slider and coin box before i picked them up. So far so good. Coin slider failed after three uses. Called Corns appliance service department. They took zero interest in helping me get this repaired. They said to call Speed queen. Did not even look at part or offer any advise. Nice guys, but as soon as they need to stand behind their product or service they duck and run. You are much better to go to the big box stores. read more

Initially, they acted like they were going to get out and address the issue, but they would always neglect to return my call... they already had my money, apparently no need to call me back! After leaving 12 messages, with live people (Brandon, Christian, others) I finally got to the Owner... Brad. Brad explained that it had been over a year since the purchase, so I was on my own. Brad and Brandon went above and beyond for me. I don't write a lot of reviews but I had a great experience with Corn's. I just moved to Colorado and I needed a washer and dryer. I don't mind buying used but because of a recent surgery, I needed them delivered. I bought a scratch & dent Lg washer and dryer from Corn's without ever going to the store. Brad sent me photos of the items, pointed out the dents, model numbers, and prices with delivery. I venmo'd the money to him and he had the units delivered to me in a day. Easy, right? But it get's better and here's where Corn's really set themselves apart. It turns out the washer had a bad control board. I sent Brad and Brandon (father and son) photos of what was happening and they immediately, without hesitation made it right. They again, within 24hrs, delivered a replacement, and took back the damaged one. Even better, they didn't have the same model so they sent a newer unit, no extra charge. Unfortunately, when the guys were doing the swap, a wall got scraped. Again, Corn's immediately made things right, no hesitation. I sent a photo of the damage and after many apologies, they asked what I prefer: to be paid directly or pay the contractor directly. I got an estimate from my property manager and Corn's venmo'd me the money. Easy! It's funny, you don't know how good a company is until something goes wrong-and after working in construction for 15 years, I know things go wrong. But this is when really great companies can shine. Corn's shines bright. And fyi, in case you thought the walls got damaged because of the delivery guys. Not true. They delivered a 300+lb machine up a U-shaped stairway with barely enough room to turn, twice! Thank you Corn's. read more

PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE! I recently bought 2 used Refrigerators at Corn Appliances. One won't Stop making ICE and other won't get Cold. I had to called in like 10 times and take them weeks to come out and look at it. After looking at it they said they will get back to me which never happens. I called in like 5 times, including texted but never get a respond from them. Finally, I had to used my dad number to call in and they said they will have to talk to Brad which is the owner and get back to me which never happens either. I couldn't possibly share a more poor experience with any company in my life. We bought a refurbished refrigerator from Corn's, it was delivered by two people who bumped into and broke a vase of mine, and then next day the fridge flooded our kitchen. I called Corn's and they sent someone to fix it. The day after it continued to shut off every hour. The manager tried to argue with me and say it was my electrical system in our home and he would quote me for an electrician.... They finally offered to come take back this broken fridge and offer me a refund, which I didn't receive for a MONTH after I returned the fridge. I will never shop there again. read more

Corn's Appliance has been the most unresponsive, unproffessional company I have delt with in ANY industry, ever. I don't have the energy to write in detail how I spent $6,500 with them and for the last 6 months and I can not get them to finish their work. I'm certain they will respond on how they are the only one's that had the ability to repair my stove and replace my microwave. Trust me, this company has been abhorrant to deal with to the point I walked away from waiting them to finish their work, and after this review I'm certain they will wash their hands and move on to the next victim. If your expectations with them are unreturned phone calls (for months) and the work to be left unfinished after you pay them, then they are a good fit for you. We received two used washing machines from Corn's and both were not cleaned. The first one deposited brown specks all over our wash load and the second one had a huge amount of sludge and potentially black mold on the inner rim of the tub. We asked them to take back the second machine and refund our money but they became non-communicative even after a Better Business Bureau effort including my offer to take a reasonable refund. The clerk ran my credit card, despite the fact that I wasn't there, it was a woman using a card with a male name, and the signature panel says "SEE ID" in bold Sharpie. BUYER BEWARE - I purchased a Thermador Freedom® Induction Cooktop from Corn Appliance on October 30, 2023. I was told the unit was in new condition and was never installed before (but was used as a display unit). I had a professional installer install the cooktop on Friday December 22, 2023. 10 gauge wiring was installed by an electrician with a dedicated 50 amp circuit installed. Upon using the cooktop, an error always occurs (SYSTEM FAILURE [Ci9 ADB L] - disconnect the cooktop from the electrical supply by switching the circuit breaker to the off position for 15 seconds. If the message appears again call Thermador service at 1-800-735-4328. The error continues to appear no matter what I do - using different cookware, using one side or the other. The company is telling me I can only service in-store and that no refund is possible. This is inconsistent with what I was told on 10/30 when I purchased it and on 12/24 when I called in and was told they would send a technician out. read more

My fridge recently went on the fritz and I had to urgently decide whether to repair it or buy a new one. I decided I would try to find a way to buy a new fridge and have it delivered the same day, & as it is almost always a week or more until a delivery of a major appliance can be made by any new appliance retailer, I decided to search for another option using craigslist and angie's list, and yelp. I did a TON of research, and finally found Corn's Appliance through their ads on craigslist. I immediately read the reviews here on yelp, as well as the testimonials on the Corn's Appliance website, and I could tell that this was very likely to be my best option to get a used or "scratch and dent" fridge which would not only be of high quality, but also properly inspected and tested. I had read some horror stories posted here on yelp about another appliance business which sells used and factory scratch and dent appliances, such as not returning phone calls, charging huge restocking fees if a customer wants to return an item, and being treated very poorly after the sale. It seemed that Corn's Appliance really wasn't like the places mentioned in the horror stories. I called Corn's Appliance at 8:00 a.m. on Friday morning (an hour before opening time). Brad, the owner, answered the phone and was immediately pleasant to talk to and was obviously sincere and a straight talking, honest person. I explained my situation and inquired about a fridge I had been looking at in one of his craigslist ads - A Dacor unit. He said that he had just sold that one, and apologized that the ad had not yet been removed. As we discussed what I was looking for, & how much I could afford to pay, he brought my attention to another ad he had posted which I had ignored, due to the price tag. It was a beautiful 2018 model Jenn-Air French Door unit (stainless steel front), listed at $2,000. I had told Brad that I was really hoping to buy a fridge that day, and to have it delivered that day if at all possible. He said that he would sell me the Jenn-Air for hundreds of dollars off if I liked it and wanted to buy it today. I told him that was extraordinarily nice of him and that I would be there at 9:00 a.m. When I met Brad at the store, I was immediately impressed with his demeanor and personality. He is a straightforward, nice, pleasant man who is very easy to talk to and is actually one of the coolest sales people I've ever dealt with. No kidding - it's like just talking to a friend - no BS or nonsense, just real communication. They way he does business is straight up, professional and honest. Also Brandon, the person who greeted me when I arrived was friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful and genuine. Brad spent as much time with me as I needed, and answered all of my questions about the Jenn-Air and also 2 other units I was looking at in the store; and about many other topics including technical questions about specifications, installation, delivery, operating the fridge and so on. Not once did I feel I was being treated in any way other than as a valued customer and even a friend. Just excellent. I went forward with the purchase and he was even able to get me into the first delivery slot for the day, as there had been one that was rescheduled. I drove home and less than an hour later, the delivery and installation guys (Serge and Tony) were at my door. They did a great job of installing the new fridge, which included having to disassemble part of it in order to get it through my front door and re-assemble it in my kitchen. They were also very cool and pleasant to deal with, and clearly knew what they were doing and definitely left me feeling confident and relaxed. They also hauled away my old fridge and were just all around great. My overall experience with Corn's and with Brad and his staff has genuinely been an A-Plus experience. Not once did I feel any high pressure or anything dishonest or deceptive. Just superb customer service and an actual commitment to make the customer happy. The generous deal I received here, combined with the excellent treatment will keep me coming back to Corn's Appliance. For the money I spent I have the Cadillac of refrigerators and if I had bought something brand new from Best Buy, Home Depot, Lowe's or elsewhere, I wouldn't have half the fridge I do now. I have used Brad a couple of times, at my business and once at my home. At first he seemed great and honest, but that was a honeymoon period apparently. My washer and dryer at my home were not hooked up properly, so I made an appointment with him. I finally called him since I took off from my biz and he was two hours late. He didn't have one part to hook up my dryer vent correctly, so he was going to stop by in the next week or so and just hook the vent up. He said it would just get really humid in the house for now. He has never returned even though he has told me he has been driving around with the part. It has been about 2 months. I called him for a washer issue a few weeks ago and it ended up that supposedly my dead washer for my biz was not fixable. I had just spent a few hundred dollars with him on fixing my dryer instead of buying a new one because he said my dryer was a really good one. Since my washer was not fixable (as he stated and now I hope was the truth), he offered to buy my dryer, he also took my washer, which I'm sure he will make money on for parts and selling the metals, and said he would give me a barely used top of the line matching set for only $500...sounds good, right? Ya, not so much. The washer works decent, but is much more used than stated. The dryer has not worked worth a crap from day one. I called to tell him this and he wouldn't return my call for a week! He then was condescending and had his assistant sit in my business, right next to my dryer for two hours to verify that I was telling the truth! I was not at my business at this time, but was trying to make it back from my accountants, but supposedly he "fixed" it and there is no way it wouldn't work now. Well, guess what? It still does not work. I've been calling and leaving him messages for over a week now. No acknowledgement and this is a set we normally use 6-10 loads per day at my business...they are necessities and he is well aware, but he will only return calls if there is more money to be made. I have asked to just have my old set returned, I have asked to just swap out the dryers, I have been nice, I have been not so nice and he will not follow through on all the promises he has made with warranties, getting right back out there if it doesn't work, etc. I am now having to resort to negative reviews, contacting the BBB, contacting my attorney, and contacting my bank to reverse unauthorized charge amounts on my business card because I was given one amount and charged much more and I don't have anything that I paid for. I'm a business owner and he knows how busy I am, but I don't care how busy he is, there is no excuse for not returning my calls over the last month...no one is that busy. I waited to post a copy of my letter to Corn's until my 90-day warranty was done, in case I needed to return either the refrigerator or the stove. On August 25th, (Order #0820201742764) I came to Corn's searching for a refrigerator and a stove. Bernadette was very helpful and represented that Corn's was the best place, you would give me a good deal, and the repair and delivery folks were very competent. The late afternoon of September 3rd, two employees brought my refrigerator. They were already late in arriving and seemed miffed that they had to take the doors off to remove the old fridge and place the new fridge. They seemed competent but hurried. Nonetheless, when they left, two of the refrigerator doors were loose. One fell off the next morning. When I called, you told me not to worry about their hurry because they were paid very well to do their job. You also said the guys who brought the stove would fix the doors -a week later! On September 12th, Christian and another employee brought my stove. When I had first seen it, it was in the repair area. You bragged that once it was ready to go, it would be very clean, with two racks, instead of the one I saw in the shop. Despite your previous assurances, the warming drawer still had cleaning smears and there was only 1 rack. I had laughed with the guys telling them that dying from a gas leak was my worst nightmare. After they left, I still smelled gas but figured it would dissipate. I still kept smelling gas. Fortunately the stove is by the back door, so I had a fan set up to blow the gas outside. I called Corn's and the man I spoke to seemed concerned and told me he would call Christian and call me right back. Half an hour later, he still hadn't called and I was very concerned about the leak. I called back, and he seemed more belligerent than concerned and actually said "If there really is a leak" I should call the fire department. No thank you! I hung up to wait for Christian. The man I had spoken with called back, yelling at me for daring to hang up on him. I was shocked at his response to an elderly woman whose just delivered stove was leaking gas. Christian showed up awhile later and checked all the connections he had made. He found the leaks because the repair had not been finished!!!! He assured me that he would have words with the repair people. *** If I had left my house after the installation, my house would have blown up!*** If I had just called the Fire Department, all they could have done was shut off the gas, not fixed anything (in the stove I had just bought). You had led me to believe that I was buying from a great company that treated its customers well. You seemed so proud of Corn's. The doors falling off the refrigerator and the stove not even being repaired before delivery were compounded by the unprofessional, insulting conversations with that man (I am assuming it was Brad, but he never identified himself to me). On the strength of your conversations with me, I actually recommended Corn's to a few friends before the first delivery. Rest assured that I called them after the stove fiasco to withdraw my praise. Didn't call Corn's for repair; answered an ad on craigslist for a used washer and dryer for son's birthday present. Who doesn't want a washer and dryer in your crib or do you like late night visits to the laundromat where your last quarters are squandered on a machine that takes, but doesn't give? He answered the phone/emails immediately (on a Sunday); we negotiated time of delivery and by late evening the same day, we got the washer and dryer delivered for FREE. Have you seen the number cities on the Front Range this appliance/repair company covers? They are located in Arvada; however, when I spoke with Brad early evening, he was in Aurora for two deliveries and then back to Arvada to pick up our machines, then up to Broomfield to deliver them. The washer/dryer have a 3 month warranty from Corn's; they are good brands at a great price. We didn't hook them up because of a time crunch but visually, they are in top shape. (I'm very superficial) I'll most likely be doing a revisit re: the appliances' overall operation and whether they poop out at 3 months plus one day... Hope this isn't one of those situations where you get what you pay for. read more

I had such a great experience here! Our kitchen range got broken over the weekend and I was debating fixing it versus replacing it. We bought the rest of our appliances new at the typical big box stores years ago but I have since become engaged in sustainability and buying a perfect new appliance didn't fit with these desires. I was intrigued by stories I had heard from friends about great deals that got on "scratch and dent" appliances so I thought I'd look into that and see if that was a path we wanted to pursue. I found Corn's Appliance by a google search and was impressed by the positive Yelp reviews so I stopped in on Monday not knowing what to expect. The owner was busy when I came in but I was greeted by the sweet pup who followed me as I walked through the store. As soon as the owner was free he came over to ask what I was looking for. He was very helpful in answering all my questions and pulling up manufacturer information. I was blown away by the savings over a few appliance - the savings of peer to peer buying but without the headaches and hassel. PLUS knowing the appliance was checked and tested - win! As I was making my purchase I enjoyed chatting with the owner and was reminded how much I appreciate doing business with small businesses. The purchasing experience was top notch and the delivery experience was icing on the cake. I opted for an afternoon delivery today (typical noon to 5 scenario) but some things came up that prevented me from being home before 2:30pm. I called and left a message this morning stating that and saying I could reschedule for Friday unless they could do a late afternoon delivery. Around 3 pm the delivery crew called to see if it was a good time and said they would come in about 20 minutes. They quickly move the range into the garage and I signed the papers. My only regret is that we opted for the free garage delivery rather than paying the very reasonable fee to have it installed and the old one hauled away. My husband didn't realize how heavy the new range would be and cannot get it into the kitchen but I certainly cannot fault Corn's for our mistake in judgement and we will definitely be back! read more

Tried to buy appliances from these guys and they refused to answer my questions and just kept saying come into the store or asking me to provide information rather than just helping me out. I wouldn't recommend them at all read more
