The food is good and the prices are not bad, what I liked the most are the Mexican tamales.

I just want to say that I really like this place, they always do a great job and their food is really good. They make homemade tamales and they are really good. Also they have the best taco Tuesday, in my opinion. They also make some really great and nutritious smoothies, and super yummy ice cream and great coffee. They have a great selection on the menu. We spontaneously ordered from Mountain Cravings, as we were unfamiliar with them. The Fish n Chips option caught our eyes as a variation from our routine meals. The Fish filets were eztraordinary. The fish flaked, the batter was perfectly crisped, and the taste was not 'fishy'--so their fish had a very fresh fish flavor. We also tried the coleslaw. The ingredients were not soggy but had that freshly made crunch. The flavor of the slaw was not overwhelming vinegar and/or mayonnaise but a burst of a variety of slivers of cabbage (green and purple), carrots with just the right amount of sauce making it a pleasure to eat, not a regret at wasted calories. The chips were not as crunchy as I prefer, but we had to wait the time my husband went to pick it up, so the fault is ours. They were perfectly flavorful. The piece de resistance was the chocolate shake--it reminded me of the 1950 malt shop shakes. Scrumptuous. I can hardly wait to go back again. read more

Been coming to this place for a little bit now and have always got the fish and chips or hot dog and were always delicious. Decided to try the fried chicken for the first time today and it's probably the best fried chicken I've had in really, really long time. The honey flavor just puts it over the top. I genuinely thought that the strawberry banana smoothie was the best i've ever had. However, the cashier with a nose ring was a bit rude to me. She had thrown down my card back at me after I paid and gave me attitude during this whole transaction even though I would the only customer in the store. Don't get me wrong, the food/drinks are delicious but I was taken aback by how she treated me and I didn't expect that. They are SO good, fresh, not overly sweet (you can tell all sweetness comes from the fruit alone)... I looked forward to a new flavor to try each day! The family and I visited this location on the recommendation of a local. He did not tell us wrong. The fish and chips were amazing. Who knew beer batter dip fish could taste so good! A newer spot of the Mountain with healthy alternatives to choose from. A little something for everyone. Drink wise, I enjoy berries and sour like lemonade drinks. I really enjoyed their Berry Smoothie and added some peach My husband is more of a desert person and was overjoyed by their 50/50 ice cream shake consisting of half sherbert orange and vanilla ice-cream. Taste just like those ice cream popsicles from back in the day. I have tried their fried chicken which tasted healthier made, but enjoy their fish and chips THE MOST. Must try with vinegar and sauce. Very nice little take place in upper Crestline. Had the fish and chips and enjoyed them. The fish was moist and fresh with a great crunchy batter. Four large pieces and very good tarter sauce. The fries were just right. Nice amount of crunchy on the outside and smooth on the inside. Almost too much food to eat. The folks were friendly and made the order up fresh while I waited. Took my son and his best friend this past week not knowing what to expect from this place. The boys got their fried chicken and fries and I the L.A. dog. It was a bit of a wait for our food to, but have to say well worth it! I live in L.A. and used to buy this style dog from street vendors all my life. This dog was delicious! I had to try a bite of chicken from my son's plate, since the dog was so good. First thing I noticed was the crust. The crust of the chicken was a familiar site to me, since I've tried some of the best fried chicken around Los Angeles and these top places tend to have a similar appearing crust. Best way to describe it's appearance is stained glass. I was thinking this was gonna taste amazing and it definitely was. I was initially gonna try the fish n chips, but I thought fish coming from the sea, being sold on a mountain, no thank you. I spoke to my aunt's neighbor whom they both live in Crestline about this place and he said you have to try the fish n chips! LOL next time I will try as I'm convinced whatever this place sells is gonna be well above average to amazing. Do yourself a favor and give a try if in the area! read more

I do not understand why people rave about this place. My kids went there once with their grandparents when they first opened. They didn't finish anything, it all came home in boxes and ended up in the trash. Well today my kids really wanted smoothies and I didn't have enough stuff here to make them. I took them to mountain cravings & they each got a smoothie and a small order of fries for my daughter. These were the absolute worst smoothies I've ever had. My son didn't drink his (strawberry spinach), he said it was too sour. I tried it & it just tasted like sour orange juice. My daughter said hers didn't taste good (strawberry banana), so I tried it. It seriously tasted like milk blended up with some ice. How is it possible for a strawberry banana smoothie to have absolutely no strawberry or banana flavor? The fries were undercooked. $20 down the drain, lesson learned. Defintely won't be back here. read more
