My son had the Chevy Impala - a bacon cheeseburger with their awesome onion rings and bbq sauce. A MUST have at the Cedar Glen Malt Shop is their ice cream! They use THRIFTY's Ice cream!! Whether you go for their shakes, malts, reg ice cream or go big and get their Banana Royale (I did) or the banana split, you won't be disappointed or hungry! Another note worth mentioning, they offer a gracious Military discount. Just ask. Parking can be difficult to find especially right when they open. Now, I don't remember the name of the sandwich I ordered but it doesn't seem to be on the restaurants website so I'll just throw out a a description. I didn't order a burger, I ordered a sort of stank sandwich between a burger patty and the sandwich itself was pretty solid. The sandwich had lettuce and tomato on it and did the job. The french fries were also solid, being lightly crispy and having solid flavour. The funniest thing I ate at this place was the chicken nuggets which were ALMOST indentical to a McDonald's McNugget from the shape to the flavour, but hey, no complaints from this guy. Overall, I'm sure Blue Jay Buger is a great place to have if you live in a town like Blue Jay. This fast food shop offers some local community flavour instead of the copy and paste chains most places have and that's certainly not a bad thing. Although this wasn't the best of anything I've ever had, it was a solid spot for a quick lunch before we were back on the road. Is it worth stopping by? I think so, it's always nice to grab some food off the beat and path and experience some small town flavour.
