He was there both times and the food was much more to our liking. Chilaquiles is very good and the chili verde is excellent. What a beautiful restaurant!!! Let me start off by saying they gave us two free shots after paying the bill, I did mention it was my husbands birthday but still!! In this economy and these times it was such a sweet surprise / gesture! We went shortly after opening so it was nice to be able to choose our seat and view, the service was so fast, the food came out in about 10 minutes. Menu items run about 14$-25$ though it can be more or less depending on what you want but the portions are much worth it!! We ordered the margarita flight which was $25 but again, they were generous with the amount in the margaritas. Overall ! 4 Stars Toni's Kitchen We came on a Crestline adventure today and decided to stop by one of our old favorite spots, Toni's Kitchen! When my husband and I lived up here before our son was born, we used to come here often for date nights, so it was really nice to revisit. The vibe is fun and welcoming. The patio seating area is beautiful, you're surrounded by nature with a great view of Lake Gregory. There's always lively Mexican music playing, giving it that festive, salsa-style atmosphere that makes it such a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. Prices have gone up quite a bit since COVID, which was a little disappointing, but the food was still delicious. We had the chicken mole enchiladas, and they were scrumptious! The mole sauce had that perfect balance of sweetness and spice, and the chicken was tender. The rice and beans were a classic combo, and even the chips were fresh and tasty. It was also nice to see Miguel again, he's the owner and remembered us after all these years! That personal touch really made our visit special. This is hands down the best restaurant on the mountain--not just in Crestline, but anywhere around. Miguel and Santiago are incredibly welcoming and provide some of the best customer service you'll find. They treat everyone like family! Their hospitality and attention to detail make every visit special. We will always make the drive down from Arrowhead just to eat here because it's always worth it.
