    Tiki heaven by the lake

My husband and I had a terrific lunch today at Tiki Republic in Lake Arrowhead Village. Don't let the unassuming entrance fool you, inside you will find a magical oasis. The dark and breezy decor makes you feel instantly transported to the islands which was a great escape from the summer heat. The beer and spirits selection is wide and interesting with many fun and tasty tropical drinks. I had the Coconut Sizzle which was delish. My husband opted for a few draft beers which totally hit the spot. For lunch we ordered a burger and some shrimp tacos and both were fresh and delicious. The prices are reasonable and the portions are large. We sat at the bar and the service was impeccable. Sam, the host/bartender was very friendly and informative and treated us like regulars. I highly recommend this spot and will definitely be back!

    Coconut Crusted Shrimp! So good!

What a great find! Came to check this establishment out after hearing that they offered a flaming dole whip drink. Left so happy, full, and can't wait to go back! The staff working here are so friendly and attentive! The tiki decor is so fun and the surrounding somehow provided this welcoming sense of warmth; much appreciated since it was freezing outside. The food is delicious! We got the Tiki Tonkatsu Ramen and Coconut Crusted Shrimp. Loved them both so much! The broth was especially perfect for the weather! Can't wait to try their other menu items another time! The drink, appropriately named C'mon Baby Light My , is large, strong and so fun! Loved the generous portion of dole whip! Highly recommend checking this place out!

Great spot and excellent service! I got a poke bowl ($23) that was very good. Big portion and hit the spot. It became even better with a side of spicy mayo that added a hint of spice and creaminess that balances it out. My BF got the pastrami sandwich with an apple slaw spread ($19) with macaroni salad and that was delicious as well. The apple adds a lovely sweetness to it that made me to halfsies with the beau.

I came here on a couple days where they had happy hour and it was really fun. The bartenders were really nice. I think their names were christian and Sam. The ambience is very tropical. The first time I went, they were playing Pirates of the Caribbean the second time Gilligans Island. The food was spectacular. Definitely can't beat nine dollar chicken. They have a gorilla photo which is really cute and he can't beat the views of the lake.

Had such an amazing experience here! Made me transform from a mountain town to a Hawaiian beach! Cocktails were amazing and I highly recommend the poke nachos !

Amazing drinks, food, atmosphere and service. It has it all. The wings and classic mai tai are amazing. Also Mac Salad and shrimp tacos

Great atmosphere, terrific service, absolutely delicious food and drinks!! We come up to arrowhead once a year and we'll definitely be coming back here every time from now on!

Nice chill place. Big Island salad and the drinks definitely hit the spot. Christian was genuinely friendly and very helpful to us visitors passing thru... Thank you man!!

I was visiting for the weekend and I was excited by this new restaurant in the square. The food was very lackluster. Service was slow. Drinks were weak. Got the original Mai Tai and it was just ok. We got the Ahi Tartare- this was a weird combo of flavors which just didn't work in my opinion. We got the wings too which was just ok. My husband got the Hulu Huli chicken plate. This was also okay. Portions were large though I got the shrimp tacos which was the best thing on the menu I think. It was pretty filling.

Come on baby light my fire and zombie drinks

We had a fantastic lunch at Tiki Republic. It was the perfect spot for a family-friendly meal. The service was excellent and the place is well-themed. It's a great tiki bar and restaurant. Kids had the miso ramen with tofu, and it was delicious. We had the Maui Moon rangoons and pork bowl and both were wonderful. As for drinks, we were all impressed. The "C'mon Baby, Light My Fire" cocktail was a standout and so tasty. We also tried a zombie and a mai tai, both of which were well crafted. Kids loved the Painless mocktails and pineapple dole whip ice cream. We visit a lot of tiki places, and Tiki Republic was fantastic. Can't wait to visit again soon on our next trip to Lake Arrowhead.

Walking in yesterday, it was such a good-vibe, welcoming place. There was sunshine coming through the large windows and color all around. Our waitress was warm and welcoming as well as on top of our dining needs, even as it got busier. We 4, two of us being vegetarians, each found something delicious to enjoy. I got the BAT Omelette, which was generous with cheese, avocado, bacon, and as a delightful switch up, cherry and grape tomatoes. The presentation was a feast for the eyes, with its dainty and colorful flower petals on top. In fact, all dishes were beautifully presented. I ordered fruit instead of potatoes, which was enough to share. My mom found her bagel and lox delectable and a large enough portion to take 1/2 home. Friends found vegetarian enjoyment in the Goat omelette and the breakfast sammie. They were both well pleased with bellies full. All of us were happy brunchers ! As we dined, the place welcomed a steady stream of guests, both inside and out, which is furry best friend welcoming. So, on Sundays, come early. The noodles are made fresh in-house, and you can really tell from the texture -- they had a great chew and held up well in the broth. The tonkotsu broth was rich and flavorful without feeling overly heavy or greasy. The chashu was tender and well-seasoned, and the soft-boiled egg and wood ear mushrooms rounded everything out nicely. I added a little chili paste for extra heat, and it worked perfectly. The Spicy Garlic Edamame was much better than I expected for a side dish. The edamame was cooked just right, still firm and plump, and coated in a flavorful garlic sauce with a nice kick. We also ordered the Gyoza, which had a beautifully crispy bottom and juicy filling inside. Simple but very well executed. The Pork Rice Bowl was huge and easily shareable. The sweet and savory sauce paired really well with the rice, making it a great comfort-food option alongside the ramen. Overall, everything tasted fresh and well prepared, and the portions were generous. Definitely a spot I'd stop by again if I'm in the area.

Kaz Ramen used to be our favorite, but ever since they went 24 hours, the quality and flavor just hasn't been the same. Ramen Koko in Highland is still pretty good, although I think the presentation and service could use some work. Sosogu Ramen in Redlands is another solid spot. After trying all of them, Ramen Jo's tonkotsu broth stands above the rest. It's rich, creamy, deeply flavorful, and the kind of broth you don't want to leave behind. So why only 4 stars instead of 5? The protein was the only thing holding this place back. The chashu and other beef in our bowls were overcooked and chewy. Instead of being tender and practically melting in your mouth, they took a bit of work to eat. If they can improve the quality of their protein, this would easily be a 5-star ramen spot. We'll definitely be back because that tonkotsu broth alone is worth the visit, and we're hoping the protein is better next time.

The fish tasted fresh, portions were good, and everything came out pretty quick even though they were busy. All you can eat is the way to go n We ordered a mix of rolls, plus some appetizers, and nothing missed. The sushi had a good balance--not too much rice, not overloaded with sauce, just clean flavors. The sear was perfect, and the green onion topping and sauce, along with the small slice portions made this easy and fun to eat. Definitely try this in your first round! 5/5 - Shooting Star (front) - Very savory and delicious! If you like the cajun flavor with the spicy aioli sauce, this won't disappoint. The crunch from the tempura shrimp with the texture profile of the crab and rice makes this a very satisfying roll! 5/5 - Carpaccio - This was actually one of the best carpaccio dishes I had gotten, and I think it is due to the seasoning. You only get one order per person which is typical of other AYCE sushi places, but definitely something to savor! 5/5 - Bluefin Tuna - This is limited to one order per customer, but it was the first time I had eaten a bluefin tuna at an AYCE restaurant that tasted like bluefin tuna from Japan. This is more toro than chutoro/otoro, however it did have that distinct bluefin tuna taste. Impressed! 4/5 - Dynamite - Interesting baked roll dish. Served under a small flame that dies out, it was a very savory, easy-to-eat dish with chopsticks. However, it felt a bit overcooked by the end of the flame, which understandably can be hit-or-miss. Definitely try it out, as this kind of dish is typically rare in AYCE restaurants. 5/5 - Del Rosa and East Highland - These are both the same No Rice Roll just with different wraps. The fish serving was generous and we were impressed! The sauce complemented both perfectly. 4/5 - X-Girlfriend and X-Boyfriend - Pretty much the same No Rice Roll but with different fish. Kind of tastes the same from the other No Rice Rolls so I would just get one order to try it out. 3/5 - O.M.G., Pizza, and SBD Hill - About the same flavor profile with the creamy sauce with the seafood that is placed on top of California rolls. You can probably do with just one of these rolls whichever appeals to you. Of course, it is not exactly the same, but we didn't really care to figure out which was which as we were eating it. 2/5 - Flying Dragon - Was not particularly impressed with this dish. There was a lot of rice served for a thin slice of eel and white fish. The sliced onion was OK, and it did not seem to complement the dish significantly. It seemed more like a separate item placed on top of the roll. 3/5 - Cajun Tuna Nigiri - Decent tuna nigiri. I thought the slices were very thin, so the sear actually went through the whole fish rather than just at the surface which would have made a two-texture profile bite. However, it just seemed dry due to the seared thin slice. 3/5 - Cajun Salmon Nigiri - Same issue with the cajun tuna nigiri. It was seasoned well with the cajun, but the thin slice of the salmon made the sear more of a "cook" rather than a seared surface. 4/5 - Regular Salmon Nigiri - Typical salmon nigiri flavor with regular portion of rice. I think it is beaten out my other AYCE sushi restaurants that are generous with their fish portion and provide minimal rice. 1/5 - Shrimp Boat - This dish was very disappointing. While it is advertised as shrimp with crab meat, our whole group found that it was an overwhelming amount of crab meat and could barely pick out the shrimp. Difficult to finish especially in the 2nd half of our meal. Granted due to being a tempura roll, it was served later. 1/5 - Lobster Ball - This dish was also disappointing. While it is advertised as lobster with crab meat, we barely found a difference between this and the shrimp boat aside from shape. Even with the pictures, the size was larger than we expected. Difficult to finish especially in the 2nd half of our meal. Granted due to being a tempura roll, it was served later. 3/5 - Calamari - Huge portions but could have been salted more. Good crunch but I would hesitate on finishing this portion because you might get full! 3/5 - Shrimp Tempura - We ordered 4 orders of this and only received one order (2 pieces). Decent fry and could also be salted a bit more.
