I had passed by this spot many times but never stopped in because it always looked so empty. It's definitely a hole-in-the-wall kind of place, with a dated interior and a simple, old-school menu. When I finally decided to give it a try, I was greeted by a quiet, older gentleman who seemed to be running the place on his own. While the atmosphere might not stand out, the food definitely does! Once I got the fish and chips home, I was pleasantly surprised--the fish was crispy and flavorful, and the fries were just right. This is one of those "don't judge a book by its cover" spots that serves up solid, no-frills comfort food. Pro tip: While you're there, grab some dessert from the shop next door to round out the meal.

Wasn't expecting such a delicious treat. Was craving fish and chips but didn't expect much due to the options around my area. This small one man show caught me by surprise. A bit of a wait but everything is made fresh upon ordering. We ordered hush puppies , beer battered onion rings, fried zucchini's and an order of 3 pc cod fish and chips. All of which were amazing . No wonder why this place has been open for decades. A hidden Gem and staple in Hemet. I will be a returning customer.

Best Fish n Chips around!!! HIGHLY recommend!!

The fish and chips were good and Simon treated us very well. I would go back for the service alone.

I drive from Menifee just for the fish-n-chips. Best fish-n chips in the Inland Empire.

It was some of the best fried chicken I've had to this day but they closed years ago. And I moved to Temecula. So it's been on my list to go this location for a while but it's still a drive so when my son had a golf tournament at Soboba I had to make plans to take him here. As soon as I walked in I felt like I was on a move set of my childhood. The layout and furnishings were exactly like the location in Pasadena forty years ago! From the waiting area to the hostess stand to bathroom back in the far corner. Even the way the booths and tables were organized. It has a very western Americana vibe to it. The service was exceptional. The kind of service you only get in long established family owned restaurants that employ people for decades. Our waitress was great and attentive and kind. We got the onion ring stack to start. It was great but next time I'll get the zucchini fries which looked amazing. For our entrees we got the stockyard, burger and split the sides. Backed potato, salad and chili soup. The chili soup was t as good as the one I grew up going to but still passable. The backed potato was awesome! And the stockyard was great as well. Served on a sizzling metal plate everything stayed hot the whole meal. The burger was good but would probably opt for something else next time. And the Texas toast... forgedda bout it! Too bad this place doesn't have the fried chicken. I'm sure the recipe is somewhere. Wink wink...

Absolutely awful from start to finish. The food was…read moredisgusting. The soup was sour and tasted rotten and should never have been served to a customer. Everything else we tried was equally bad and clearly low quality. It felt unsafe to eat. The customer service was just as bad as the food. Staff were rude dismissive and completely uninterested in fixing anything. When we complained we were ignored. No apology no concern and no accountability. This place has no business serving food. Do not waste your money or risk getting sick. There are far better options anywhere else. ill be checking to make sure this well deserved bad review stays this time. if not i have no problem reposting obviously since this is the 7th time.

I had a chilaquiles this time, sis had a carne asada burro and niece had a Philly and we shared fried zucchini. I ordered the green salsa and asked for no meat. Turns out the green salsa comes prepared with pork (that's still meat). Bummer but they quickly brought me the red version sans meat. It was pretty good, just not really what I wanted. Sister and niece enjoyed their food too. Our server was the same from last time and was again excellent and has an awesome attitude! We really liked her. Ambiance was very diner-esq as I wanted and has a little whimsy to it. Not fancy but a nice homie vibe. I'll be back when in town. If you're looking for a fancy place, this isn't for you but if you want hearty tasty food, it's a good place.

The prices are very reasonable and comparable to most chains. Immediately when we walked in we were greeted and given a place to sit very quickly. Our server Ashley was fast, accurate, and checked on us frequently. The food was so good!! Our group ordered off the breakfast and lunch menu. Their breakfast potatoes were my favorite part, and in our opinion the biscuits and gravy were very good (despite someone else's review saying otherwise). The French fries that came with the burger were so crispy and delicious. The bread on the bun also seems homemade, very generous on the avocado on the burger. Great breakfast meat options and the cooks really listened when I asked for extra crispy which is so rare for me for breakfast places. It was awesome. This is going to be our new breakfast spot. The hostess with the cool makeup was also so kind and friendly and very prompt with getting us in and out. Everyone felt genuine in there and the vibe was great. Fun decor and a cozy feeling while also being large enough to accommodate large parties. I also love the music. iHop has enough money, support small businesses!! We're big Good Egg Fans over here!

The side salad, which I use to order is now extra charge. The coleslaw is very sweet. At first the pizza was tasty, but after a few slices it tasted saltly to me. Guess the sugar/salt combination not my best choice. I liked that they cut the pizza into bite size =a good idea, as the crust in thin. My friend had the combination pizza which included meats, green bell peppers, red/white onions, and mushrooms. He said it tasted good. Others had salmon meal and Yumm Burger special with fries, broccoli nad coleslaw. Because they were short on staff the waitress was serving 8 booths with two or more persons at each booth. She tried her best to keep up with our refills on drinks and sides. At one point the other employees cared to our needs. The restroom was clean and the floor were well kept.

I visited in a group of 6, by the end of the night I didn't appreciate the service given to one of the members in our party. Five out of six of us received our food in a timely manner while our friend waited an additional 20+ minutes for his order. He did NOT come late, nor did he order after us, we all ordered and arrived at the same time. All he ordered was a Donato's pizza, yet our waitress didn't notice his food was missing. We literally had to have her go check! My main issue is the way this location handles Bottomless Fries now. Aside from our waitress being hardly around, it took forever to refill our bottomless fries. When our server appeared she wouldn't provide us bottomless fries individually, I ordered for myself, not the table. In fact, only two of us ordered this off the menu and she brought a small bunch of fries for us to share. I only had my OWN set of fries with my burger. I don't mind sharing with my party, however I asked for a personal order of fries. Naturally, we'd run out quick because I offered my fries up to the table. At the end of the day, I felt like I only got a handful of fries as the kitchen only put a few on my burger plate. The ambiance was lively, we got to enjoy some sports in the background. My friends commented that the alcoholic beverages were good. Personally, I enjoyed my mushroom burger. However, there's a major need for improvement on a customer service level.
