Cute little shop hidden away with fish/ocean decor. I ordered the 3 piece fish and chips to go. It took about 10 minutes because every order is made fresh. It was still crispy when I got home which is a great sign and the tartar sauce was super delicious! I'll definitely be back. I need to try the clam chowder on a rainy or cold day.... Before becoming Vegan, this place serves the BEST fish ever! The fries are OK, but the Fish are to die for. I am not sure if the only person making the food and cashiering is the owner, but if so...it's a quaint Mom & Pops hole in the wall kinda place that you just need to discover if you love quality deep fried fish. The cod and the shrimp seemed like good quality, but the cod was a little underdone as the breading was soggy. Regarding portion size as reported by others, I believe we have differing ideas of what constitutes generous portions. Definitely a one-man show but he was courteous and thorough, not only bringing out my order to my table (I expected to pick it up myself from the counter), but he brought out a basket of napkins with wrapped, plastic utensils. Service is lovely. The same nice man who has been here forever still greets everyone with a smile. Occasionally folks have to wait a bit longer than one expect if the place isn't busy but honestly that is very rare. Prices are a bit high but the fish is always spectacular. Tartar sauce is homemade and the owner seems to always throw in extra goodies such as lemons, vinegar, you name it. After 30+ years, there really is not much to complain about. read more
