Build your own salad is HUGE

I just thought I'd take a minute to update my review because I've gotten to come numerous times now and it is by far every time above and beyond my expectations. The salads are great especially the build your oen. It does get a bit spendy but you're getting quality ingredients and it's made very well. And it's freaking huge. There's no way I'm going to finish the one I just got! And The chicken is GOOD! So often the chicken on salads is an afterthought but not here! It's seasoned and juicy! Don't let the picture fool you! The breakfast bowl continues to be one of my favorite things here. Their gluten free sandwiches are also great, again not made as an afterthought. I really like the decaf esspress coffee here too. It's smooth and not too bitter which can often be a problem with decaf. But one of the best things about this place are the people who work here. Two in particular who have stood out each time I've come in are Ethan and Josh. They are so sweet and hardworking. They try and remember people who comes regularly despite how busy this place can get. There are a few other stand out employees, especially the woman who helped me today, but unfortunately I haven't been able to get everyone's name. On a recent visit I believe the manager or owner complimented my reusable cup and said I just needed a different sticker on it and then proceeded to give me a mountain brew sticker lol. You better believe it ended up on that cup when I got home! Despite this shot being on the complete other side of town for me I try and at least come once week or every other week. It is one of my new favorite hangouts and I'm so happy we have this nice local addition to our coffee and dining choices!

I had high hopes for Mountain Brew, especially since the drinks took quite a while to make. We were thinking the extra time meant they were being crafted well. Unfortunately the coffee came out extremely concentrated with barely any ice, making it pretty much undrinkable, and we had to leave before we could even get it fixed.

Gross potatoes in the burrito

LABOR DAY review (busy, lots of customers). That said, the food itself was not very good. Specifically, the breakfast burrito was gross with undercooked and bland potatoes accompanied by slimy pico de gallo (cilantro was slimy). The eggs in it were great. The drinks were good - and the servers were doing the best they could. They definitely should have more staff or closed the drive through, as the cashier was also taking those orders from cars and it was slow.

Cool spot with outdoor, indoor seating and drive thru. I got an iced latte, as other reviewers the coffee is strong so it was not my favorite but everyone in my group did like the coffee. Also they roast their own coffee so that's a plus. We sat down and played table games with was nice. They have a big menu with breakfast and lunch options so plenty to choose from breakfast burritos to salads and soups. They also have draft beer and wine if you're not looking for coffee. Service was good.

So many cute cups!

Such a cute find! They have the soy milk I like to make a sweeter latte without intentionally adding a sweetener. My favorite part are the AMAZING cups here. This is my dream cupboard with Stitch, Hello Kitty, Pooh, Disney and so much more. Huge breakfast burritos. I mean large. Tons of food options including egg salad sandwich, Leige waffles, and plenty more. I am the type that would prefer to see the pastries when choosing them so that's something they can consider. Beer and wine for your happy hours including some deals listed in the stores. The huge windows likely open up in the summer when it's nice for outdoor seating. Glorious. Very comfy seating!

Super cool mountainous themed coffee shop. The garage doors open up and indoor/outdoor seating is available. The coffee is strong. I ordered a decaf americano which I enjoyed. Pastries looked delicious, we shared an oatmeal raisin cookie. Justin Beiber was on repeat in store. S/o to whoever is in charge of the music.

Wanted to try Mountain Brew because the location is so convenient! My expectations were not high for the coffee because it's one of those places that has a little bit of everything- food, drinks, bakery, etc. but I was pleasantly surprised. My drink (iced latte) was great! Well made and great tasting. It is a bit cluttered inside, but busy so it seems to be a spot people frequent. I also was not greeted when it was my turn to order and they were not super friendly this time. I will go back again though now that I know it's quality drinks! Bonus that they have a drive thru

I had such a great experience at Mountain brew! I went in on my birthday to grab sandwiches with my fiancé and it offhandedly got brought up that it was my birthday. The staff was so sweet. They brought me out a brownie (that was absolutely divine) with a candle while we are waiting for our sandwiches. Everything was so delicious the sandwiches, the brownie, everything and it just really made my day that they went so above and beyond to treat me so well. Definitely recommend!

White mocha and oatmeal coffee

The Mountain Brew brings a refreshing twist to the traditional coffee shop experience. At first glance, the building is a bit misleading--it resembles a mechanical shop more than a café, and the typical coffee shop aesthetic is thrown out the window. But don't let the exterior fool you. Inside, it's a beautiful and thoughtfully designed space, offering a much-needed fresh take--the Body-Coffee-Shop vibe is unique and inviting. We stopped here while passing through Truckee at the end of a beautiful road trip, and it was the perfect ending. I had the white mocha, which had a great coffee balance--just a bit light on the sugar, but the oatmeal cookie made up for it, adding warmth and richness. Together, they made an unexpectedly great combo. What really made the experience special was the atmosphere. A light evening rain had just started, and with the mountain view as our backdrop, it was one of those rare moments of peaceful perfection--sipping coffee, enjoying the cool breeze, and soaking in the beauty around us. Customer service was great--staff were helpful and informative about their offerings. However, I would suggest that management or the owner speak with employees about being more welcoming when customers use familiar coffee terms. When I used the word Frappuccino, it seemed to trigger an unnecessarily dismissive reaction. Let's be honest--Starbucks has been around for a long time and plays a big role in many people's coffee experiences. There's no need to act annoyed or confused when people use terms they're familiar with. Embrace the learning opportunity; we're here for a new experience, not to be judged or dismissed. Also, a huge thank you for staying open past 6 pm--most places were already closed, and we were getting a little frustrated trying to find a spot. Your extended hours truly made our night.

Post hike lunch - warm sunshine & delicious food.

Perfect place to get lunch after vigorous winter hike around Donner State Park. Delicious hot sandwich loaded with turkey & cheese, potato salad & check out the size of this warm, yummy chocolate chip cookie. A must visit for breakfast or lunch. Friendly welcoming staff.

It's exciting to have a new coffee shop in the area, and Mountain Brew delivers where it counts most, the coffee is actually really good. That said, the food is a major letdown. I tried the bacon and egg burrito, and it was a greasy, soggy mess. The eggs tasted like low-quality liquid eggs, probably microwaved. Bacon was mostly fat and not even slightly crispy. Potatoes were nearly nonexistent, and worst of all, there was no salsa or anything to help cut through the blandness. The coffee alone makes it worth checking out, but the kitchen definitely needs to step it up. A few tweaks and this place could be a gem.

my bagel was (and I don't use this lightly) unedible. And my chai was wildly over spiced and gross.

Definitely a popular spot as every seat was filled when we arrived! Very limited food menu--they only offer two breakfast options. Breakfast burrito (rice, black beans, cheese, and chorizo) which can be ordered with or without chorizo but no other modifications since they're all pre made. Also had a breakfast sandwich option as well. I personally wasn't a fan of the breakfast burrito but my boyfriend really enjoyed his. The rice and beans were 90% of the burrito with very tiny bits of chorizo here and there so it just didn't feel like breakfast to me and I didn't finish mine. Everyone has different tastes though so if you enjoy bean and rice burritos I'm sure you would like this!
