The office exuded warmth and comfort, complete with a coffee machine and a bowl of candy for guests. Staff members were frequently seen navigating the park in a convenient golf cart, ensuring everything ran smoothly for visitors. The park itself offers a variety of recreational spaces, including a large downhill field with a small podium at the base, as well as a nearby expansive field and a pickleball court. Guests can enjoy a seating area at the top of the hill and there is a nearby shack that provides firewood and propane for convenience. Some of the park's sites include cozy cabins, each furnished with a comfortable chair, desk, and a generous king-size bed, along with a window offering views of the RV area. Every campsite features a personal fire pit and picnic table, ideal for relaxing outdoors.Overall, this RV park combines friendly service, comfortable accommodations, and well-maintained recreational areas. I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a pleasant and welcoming environment for their stay.

A bit later I was able to get a sneak peek at the hot water heaters and they were turned all the way down to the lowest possible temperature setting. This maybe fine during the summer but it is now headed into winter and the park refuses to provide hot shower water in the community restroom. Other than the cold shower water, the park is very clean and well maintained.

Our site was a little shady but clean and roomy. We have an average sized travel trailer (self contained) so a full hook up was not necessary and there was a restroom close by. But, the problem was the men's side looked vandalized and nearly unusable. I felt bad for the folks who had paid for hurts in that area. The women's side was cleaned daily but the showers needed more attention, hair and dirt under the mats.

I camp regularly with friends, this was my friends and my first time in this particular camp and now the pros. Pro: Showed up late but the guy at the front was super kind and even gave us a little time to rinse off before leaving the pool. We had a hoot, the place was quiet and we were able to celebrate a friends birthday and star gaze. The cons: The lady in the cart with the power trip. She's got to go. Not only did she feel the need to SCREAM at us but she also wanted to sit there and lecture. nope. unfortunately, alot of other people have had this interaction with her and she either needs coaching or what not. the other campers around us were super kind and its a sham that with all the amenities it still soured out FIRST time on this lot. This was for Bow,WA as well.

The road to the camp is a bit of a trekk. It's long, windy, and much of it dirt with pot holes. There's also no cell service out there so be sure to communicate with anyone you're meeting shortly after turning off highway 2. The camp sites themselves are good sized, we easily fit 2 tents and our cars. There was a fire pit and a picnic table too. We had access to the river and enjoyed a nice cold plunge on a warm day. There were several hikes in the area to choose from but we couldn't turn down the incredible Lake Blanca, whose trailhead was only a few minutes away. We look forward to visiting this campground again next year.

There are two sides to this campground, an east and a west loop. My spot was on the east loop, space 15 and I'd definitely recommend the spaces on the east loop, as they give you ample privacy with equally ample access to the creek and the North Fork of the Skykomish River. No power hookups means you can set the devices aside and worry little about what's happening in the city. Out here, the entertainment is happening in nature. Views of surrounding peaks, the rush of the water as it flows past and as night falls, the dotting of stars in the inky black sky will give you exactly what you need before heading back to civilization. Nature truly is the best. I'll be back to this campground again, no doubt.

My kids spent last week at camp at Lutherwood. This is their third summer going to sleep-away camp,…read morebut their first year at Lutherwood. They LOVED it, said it was "awesome" and that they definitely want to return to Lutherwood next year. I had the chance to meet the staff and saw the new director at the closing ceremony - lots of energy and it seems the place is rejuvenating. The setting on Lake Sammamish can't be beat, and the kids really enjoyed all the activities (and the daily free time!), and even said the food was delicious. The camp my kids attended two years ago was great, but as it is on the Puget Sound, it is too cold for swimming, whereas they could swim (and canoe and go inner tubing) on the lake every day at Lutherwood. The camp they attended last year in Eastern Washington only had a creek to wade in, and being able to swim was a big plus. Many other similar camps cost $200-$400 MORE for a week than Lutherwood. I was very happy about how happy my kids were, and will definitely send them back next year.

Our church has done a couple of weekend retreats in March and they've been fun. I don't know anyone who has rented a cabin for a family retreat.

I see that the Burlington location is for sale, hopefully the new owners will hire a new staff, or at least offer better training...until then I called the office number well before 11, stating that I would need a little longer to check out of my site (minor RV issue, not uncommon). I was told that there was someone else coming in (at 2 pm) and I assured her I would be out by noon. End of conversation- no indication of extra fees. At 11:58 am, I was IN the office being demanded to pay a $10 LATE FEE. I was not told of this charge and I was also not an hour late getting out of my site. In addition, when I checked-in (6 pm the prior evening) I parked at the "stop" sign, which is often how KOAs indicate where they'd like you "stop" to check-in, the front office staff was appalled, making-fun of where I parked & completely rushed me out, making me feel awful for such an innocent mistake. I can honestly say, that was a KOA first, too. Usually, the rules & regulations, amenities, local attractions, firewood, etc...are discussed, social niceties are exchanged, and often an escort to sites is provided-not at the Burlington KOA, I guess. Oh! And...no shade, sites are SUPER close together, neighbor's car alarm went off for a while at 5 am and then they packed up loudly at 7 am lol, the dog run is TINY & terribly overgrown, and...and..and! Just stay somewhere else. Thankfully this location has been a KOA customer service anomaly.

As frequent travelers from Seattle area to Canada for our daughters hockey games, we look forward to staying at Cedars RV Resort and will continue the tradition we've started. Just an extremely well-run operation and we're so happy we discovered this place with such wonderful people. One time the door on our travel trailer somehow wasn't properly secured when we left it... so during a breezy rainstorm while we were not there, the door physically opened. Scott, Cedars maintenance manager, was first to notice the problem and shut the door, but it could not be locked without the key, so Yvette, operations manager, was so kind to call me to make me aware of the situation, out of concern that the door might open on its own again and our camper might be subjected to water damage. Yvette went out of her way to let me know what happened in case I wanted to lock the door, and I thought this really speaks to the high level of customer care at Cedars. With all of her other responsibilities as manager of operations at Cedars, this kind of concern by Yvette and her staff for those at the property was really wonderful, and points to why Cedars is such a beautiful, well-maintained and popular vacation spot.
