Great place to stay while visiting Seattle. It's about a 25 minute drive to the city. There are plenty of places to eat in the area and a Safeway across the road with a gas station. The RV park is very clean and quiet besides the morning wake up calls from the Geese lol. The ducks and geese are peaceful to watch floating on the little lake that our Camper backed right up to. There is a playground in the park for smaller children. The restrooms and showers are clean. The staff are very nice and helpful. We would definitely stay here again. Cons: no campfires allowed, no charcoal grill's and no feeding the ducks. It is a Wildlife habitat so keep that in mind when staying here.

Great place when you want to stay just outside the city. Beautiful grounds that make you feel far from town. Simple trails surround the park - again, giving you the feel of being outside of town - yet you're a blink from civilization. The park has a cute lake (pond) that is frequented by ducks and geese. Almost all sites have a lovely 'lake view' and there is plenty of space between them so you don't feel like you're in a parking lot. Immaculate showers and restrooms are available for use as are laundry facilities. The park offers free WiFi. Highly recommend this park. Looking to returning again soon.

This is a lovely, well cared for and privately owned Park. The owners clearly care for their sites and for the people. Three grown hedges give each site privacy and the park is clean. These sites are paved and flat. I called the office about some dog poop on my site and trash in another site and they had it cleaned up within 30 minutes. It is nice the office was responsive however it's always a surprise when dog owners leave behind that kind of mess. This site is so convenient to touring Seattle and the area so I'd recommend it highly. There is a Safeway across the street and a wonderful coffee shop.

Very nice lake -- no swimming though.

We stayed here for several nights in mid-July. The park is beautiful, with lots of trees and a lake. Our sight was a bit narrow, but there was a row of trees on each side of our site, so we had privacy. The park is kept clean. They had an issue with Canadian geese (way too many!) that would wander through the sites, settle, and make themselves quite at home. But I noticed staff driving through with a water truck cleaning up after the geese. A long-term resident told me that they were working with the state wildlife officials to relocate the geese. I loved the walking trail that surrounds the park. Very pleasant, with just enough challenge to make it fun. Also loved that the park is quiet, not much road noise at all. Would definitely stay here again. But note, this park is often full, so make reservations way in advance of your stay.

Booked 2 weeks here while visiting family. Love the park like setting and convenience to Seattle and surrounding areas. Sites are close together but landscaping in between offered some privacy. Grounds are well maintained and bathrooms/showers are private and clean. A good value for FHU's in an urban area. Would definitely stay here again.

Lush, green park that is nice and secluded.

We recently stayed here for multiple nights. The park is beautiful and lush. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again. If you're able, bring a leaf blower. Because of the lake, there are geese everywhere and so is there poop. We used our blower to keep our spot free of their droppings.

    Our spot on the water.

A really nice spot to stay with hook ups and a view. Super clean bathrooms/showers. Nice workers. Truly a paradise. I wish we stayed longer!

Very nice park surrounded by trees. They do not have a store or sell ice but if you go across the road there is a shopping center with a safeway. Fairly quiet with sites not too close together. They have some grass for the pets. The laundry room is small and usually busy but at least it has one. $1 per load. We spent 5 days and the weather was great. Would stay here again. Seems as though they have a lot of long timers staying so reserve early.

Beautiful little oasis in the city. Clean, well managed and friendly staff. Pet friendly too!

Paved RV spot with privacy trees and overlooking the pond and it's weeping willow and evergreens.

Amazingly beautiful and serene and private RV park! Every sign is asphalt pavement and has full hook ups. Between each site there is a row of privacy trees. Most of the sites back up to Lakes. No problem with the Wi-Fi. Paved loop around the park is great for bicycle traffic

Our time at Lake Pleasant RV Park was absolutely amazing. The park was maintained very well and and the views of the pond and trees were spectacular! We are very appreciative of the friendly staff, especially Toni! They made it feel like home away from home. Lake Pleasant will definitely be our first choice when returning to WA.

Awesome place to live or even stay for a short period. Toni and Laura are overwhelmingly wonderful along with the rest of the staff. We are so happy here and our dog Leo has made many friends. The park is so clean and very well maintained. Best place to stay!!!!

As you read this, you will likely get really jealous you did not attend this camp as a kid, or now. I know I have in working with them the last few months. Don't Fret!! they have adult programs too! My story of ROP is much more personal. Through an amazing gift of scholarship and some pretty amazing yelpers who volunteered their wallets and yards (for slave labor--props to Wil L , Dawn R, Jim C) and donated equipment (props to Don L), my three youngest children were able to attend summer camp adventures through ROP this year. The staff at ROP is, literally and without exaggeration; amazing. They are passionate, committed, helpful, and knowledgeable. Special thanks to Jason, Darcy, Julie, Drue, Emily, and the other mentors who accompanied my kids on their various adventures. The first to go was Selena, on her Call to Adventure. On drop off day, gathered in a circle, playing quick "get to know you" games, the mentors of ROP discuss with the children what a "call" is, and what is a "hero"? At the appropriate time, goodbye is made a little easier as the kids hear their mentors "calling" (as in howling, clapping, cheering and banging drums) from the woods and excitedly go running off to find them (parents, exit stage left). A week later, Selena returned FULL of excitement, stories of her adventures and already EAGER to attend next year. Junior was next, on his Apprenticeship journey. For the younger kids, the send off allowed much more "mommy tear up" time. During the send off circle, we were given small pieces of wood, planed thin in the middle. Junior wrote his name on one side, and the names of all the people he was leaving behind (mom, sisters, brothers, grandma) on the other. We then snapped it in two, me taking the Junior side, him taking the family side and tying it to the walking stick provided by ROP. So he could take his family "with" him on his journey. Finally, this last Sunday, the most difficult for me. Sending Michelle off on her 3 week Coming of Age trip. Designed for the difficult late tween and early teen years. The send off here was out of this world amazing. For 3 1/2 hours we did gear check, get to know you circles, then..the good stuff. First, the parents made plaster casts of their children's faces-masks- for their trip. The kids will decorate them with things of their childhood. Then while out on the trip, fill them with plaster to make a sculpture of their face. During a ceremony they will "shed" their childhood and through the masks into the fire together. Then decorate the new solid sculpture mask, not as children, but as youth and who they want to be for their future. At goodbye time, we held red ribbons between us as we talked and said goodbye. The mentors, now dressed like Ravens, came whooping and howling out of the woods and cut the ribbons in two and carried off the children...not to be seen again until they are "grown" from their journey. It is hard not to worry how my kids would do, this was no "pillow fights in a cabin" summer camp. This was back country back packing slogging everything you had and needed on your back. This was REAL hiking, camping and learning time. Knowing they are in the loving, capable hands of the ROP staff, made my fears turn from worry to excitement. In me, they have made a fan for life.

On the park's property are also several sponsored YMCA activities, but those were closed during my visit. The parking lot at the NW corner is reasonably sized. We easily found parking. We later found another lot on the SE corner, but it was blocked. Entering the park, we see a picnic area adjacent to the sports court. The sports court is a single space usable for basketball and tennis. Walking further, we find the dock to the lake. The water is murky with a few ducks. There weren't any motor boats on the lake, which made the lake feel serene. The lack of water movement also yielded some fantastic reflection photos. During the later hours, we saw several men setting up their equipment to fish. A sizable playground is great for the kids. A short trail walk led to a second picnic area. The trail is a short loop walk with basic trees and wild growth. The walk is very well maintained and paved, even if not spectacular. The only "hazards" are tiny, speedy humans on bikes/trikes and yippee dogs claiming their territory. They added some excitement to a short stroll.

They would walk us places for adventures during the week and Yost Park and Pool were one of the places we got to adventure. I enjoyed it then and still enjoy it now over two decades later. The pool itself is well built to be child friendly. It is in a stout 'L' shape with 25 yards in shallow to mid-depth waters. Very nice when one is young. The water as I remember it is cold, not a bad thing just a shock to the system to those who were not accustomed to it. Above the pool there are tennis courts, picnic tables, and a playground. There is also a sloped grassy area around the pool, but not one to play sports on really. I most recently visited Yost Park on Wednesday the 8th of July 2020 with my mom. Steep trails can freak her out a bit. One of the nice things about the trail system at Yost is that railings are provided in areas where the trail is steeper. Helpful in keeping one's balance and providing support while going up or down a hill. Signage along the trails provide warnings to heed especially when it is rainy and the trails can be slick as well as historical information about the park. We saw a chipmunk, a variety of birds, squirrels, and different plants on our visit last Wednesday. If driving here, make sure to check under your car before you leave so as to not run over and kill any critters who might be under it. I found a gray squirrel exploring under my car when my mom and I went to leave. Happy to wait for the little critter to continue on its way before driving off so it can live. First of all, this park is HUGE! We walked around the center or the park and we passed by 3 playgrounds, one huge dog park and a garden. There was also a climbing area and they have ropes there for that too. It doesn't look too fun since it was burning hot. The dog park though .. OMG it's amazing! There are tons of little bushes for doggies to pee and jump around... Or play hide and seek. I love seeing all the doggies run around without a leash. I think it's just so wonderful and they all look super happy. Two huge doggies came to play with us and I got to pat them. They are super fluffy!!! I can't even tell the breed but they are huge with long fur! My daughter was in a carrier on me and she was a bit nervous when the doggies sniffied her feet, but overall she was fine with it. I also think this is also for dog owners to meet and mingle... Dog friends anyone? The garden is mostly for people to plant stuff, so it wasn't too interesting. There was also a performance area with a ticket booth, and several spots for picnic. Ps. Pay the $1 parking fee, or worry about the possible fine when you are spending time at the park.

Much of the giganticness is used for events, which I can't rate the park itself on; also at least from the sign when you enter, you have to pay to park here (everywhere? There's a cool/cute farm thingee on the right when you drive in with a structure that looks like a windmill without the rudder. There's an also cool totem pole near the entrance. After that it's....a lot of grass, walk and bike paths, great to take your dog I'd say - including an off leash section. There's a lot to offer and incentive to get to know the park better, which I aspire to do. In spite of the giganticness the (south?) entry off Lake Sammamish Pkway is fairly nondescript so just make sure you obey your gps lol.
