Cascades RV Resort

While this R.V. park has potential, the things that were promised haven't been met. So here's an…read morehonest review from someone who use to be a full timer at this park but has since bought a house and has moved on good terms: 1. There is no shade, which some may enjoy due to not having to worry about large trees falling on one's rig. When it comes to the playground there needs to be some sort of shade for the kids. 2. They are wanting to install a BBQ pit area in the field near the dog park but all RV'ers travel with cooking supplies and grills and there are no Tent sites for camping tents which people who are tent camping would benefit from the BBQ area. So it makes no sense to spend money on such a thing when no one will use it. 3. A swimming pool would change this R.V. park in an instant, it would become the hit place in town and they could easily charge more $$ per night for such a thing yet it constantly gets over looked. 4. A park upgrade could also change this place, everything is broken, and it's a half a$$ put together park/playground situation. The kids are always in the creek behind the park where there is shade because the playground is lacking so much. 5. Come summertime US-2 the highway that you drive on to get to and from town is terrible, stand still traffic every single weekend. Which means you loose your weekend stuck at the RV park with no shade or fun things to do unless you want to fight the traffic. 6. There use to be a good number of full timers and weekend visitors, it is now mostly full timers. Some with nice clean organized sites, some look like a dump field. There are no set rules it seems. Hopefully you get a clean, quiet neighbor. There have been field mice problems in people's rigs and car engines. 7. Ever since they added the Gracies place food into the resort the traffic coming in for coffee and food SPEEDS into the RV park going 35+, there are kids crossing that section of the road to get to the park and I've seen many times a car get too close to a kid coming in so fast. This is NOT ok. 8. The food at Gracie's place is Sysco food, it isn't the freshest. The wait time can be insane and the customer service could be improved a bit. 9. They state 2 dogs a site only, some sites have 3+ dogs. They also state 2 cars only per site, some sites have 2+ cars. They also state no trailers at your site, some sites have trailers parked at their site. Again there is no uniform rules. 10. This park has potential, it's been tossed around in management. No real guidance, it's surviving on pure luck and due to the fact that's it's the only RV park somewhat close to Seattle that's so flexible with its rules it will allow just about anything unlike the others closer to the city.

What an unexpected stumble upon! I had mapped "camping" near me and this place hadn't popped up. I pulled in and was greeted by a sweet pup and some awesome folks that not only wowed me with their hospitality but generous little and flexibility as well! Superb sites, well maintained, thoughtfully placed, super clean, great view of the mouth of the Cascades, and great showers!

If your looking for a quiet very clean spot to stay in your RV for a few nights this place is…read moregreat! They have a lot of long term residents here and everyone is very nice. The cleanest bathroom facilities we have come across so far along with laundry facility. (Full size shower and private restroom.) They have a little clubhouse with outdoor bbq grill with some tables and chairs. They have a pet trail with pet area as well to accommodate your fur babies. We were given a cable box for use upon check in for your stay as well as restroom codes to enter the facilities. The camp hosts greeted us upon check in and were super friendly checking in on us while setting up camp to make sure we were good and if we needed anything. The only cons about this park are that the spots are very close to each other and it's all cement. Very few spots have any grassy areas. You have a picnic table at each spot and No firepit. This private RV park is nestled in a quiet woodsy area about 30 min east of Seattle right off the I-90 freeway.

Pet area (walking path), clean laundry facilities, paved spaces, some with small storage buildings at the RV sites. Easy access to I-90, Subway, Espresso and Barbecue near by as well as gas and a quick mart. Brett the park manager is very helpful, friendly and he keeps the place looking good. Highly recommend the park.
