This was booked by my wife so I went in blindly and wasn't able to do my usual research. I'm huge on making sure places are safe for us as a queer and black couple. We stayed in a suite on the 12th floor. Beautiful room and view. VERY CLEAN. We were able to book a couples massage. The spa was probably the best thing about the entire experience except for a few oddities here and there. The woman we checked in with at the spa was nice enough or least she seemed that way until she thought we weren't going to tip her. Very awkward exchange toward the end but before that we loved the spa and sauna, and the masseuses. Here it is five days later and I'm still relaxed! The relaxation room wasn't very clean and it's where you have to eat (salads and drinks were yummy). The chairs either need to be replaced or steam cleaned. We only got to eat at one restaurant because the two we would have chosen were closed on the days we were there. Journey's East had okay food and the service was nothing to brag about. Just kind of felt like we were sitting in a cafeteria. The pizza place a few steps down (blazin paddles) was delicious. Also, loved the bartender. We also loved the cafe that was open 24 hours. Thumbs down for cedars cafe. Everything on my plate was overcooked. My wife's omelet was overstuffed with raw peppers so she eventually gave up on it. We didn't complain much as honestly only two staff member's in the whole resort made us feel welcomed. We did decide to swim on the first day. I was not a fan of the guy at the door. He was super snarky when we asked general questions about the pool area before we went to our room to change into swimwear. Outside of the resort, I really enjoyed the outlet. I would for sure go back to shop. Ppl there also seem to like Galbi burgers so we stopped by. I would visit Tulalip again for the right concert or market as well. Overall, it wasn't the best (or worst) experience. I also can't say that I felt super safe or comfortable (in the resort) but we made the best of the trip and found enough of it to be worth the drive and money to maybe just do a day trip next time. We loved Beach Haven…read more Recently we spent 4 days at Beach Haven and all i can say is I wished it were more. These cabins and resort are perfect for quiet getaway from the cities hustle and bustle. Pure Heaven. Loved the people, the ease to walk out of cabin straight to beach, starry nights and the smell of the huge cedars. The sunsets are amazing, the birds are beauty singing every morning. I will be back every year. In fact sooner than a year if I can find vacancy. The staff was wonderful. We accidently left somethings and were contacted immediately to pick them up. Thank goodness we were still on the island. Thanks Beach Haven for the rest.

Our room was the smallest I believe at $175 a night, kinda pricey but you are facing the awesome bay views and can walk the beach with the stair access right across the street. They allowed dogs $35 per night extra so that was another perk. It was all self contained with kitchen but the fridge was an inconvenient mini fridge yet a full size stove/oven & microwave. The queen bed is also in the small room. Bathroom was tight with no shelves to unpack makeup/personals, no tub just shower. It did have a carport with bench and table/chairs for warmer weather. It did have a huge nice tv although tricky to use. There was a none big lawn area behind the cottages that offered hot tub, toys, bbqs, fire pits and kayaks etc to rent w/ life jackets. We were basically alone for the 4 nights, only saw one staff member on first day. Internet worked fine. They include a kierig w/ k-cups which was nice. I was wishing I'd brought paper plates as they just had 2 heavy ceramic plates but had most basic necessities for cooking and eating, even spices, paper towels, dish and hand soap plus toothbrushes. Overall it was pleasant stay, just tight quarters, a bit pricey and noisy bed.

Although there are many newer, more luxurious, and more amenity-rich properties in Sequim and Dungeness, the simple charm of this property and the kindness of the hosts (John and Karin) keep me coming back. Situated like sets of side-by-side duplexes, the guest rooms are cozy and super clean. There are televisions, free wi-fi, and full kitchens but no telephones. Each cottage has its own parking space and carport for your car and bicycles. There is a pasture behind the property where cows currently graze amid the backdrop of the Olympic mountains. The front of the property are panoramic views of incredible sunsets, the bay, the Dungeness Spit, the Strait of Juan de Fuca, British Columbia, the San Juan Islands, and on and on. There is a nice bbq on the property that's available for guests to share. At night, it's pitch black and dead silent. The beauty of this respite from urban assaults on the senses can take getting used to by folks who have forgotten how magical this type of stillness is. I love nighttime walks with flashlight looking for deer. Deer are everywhere, literally, day and night. John and Karin are excellent resources for places to go and things to do if you're new to the area. They're honest and discriminating and won't steer you to a place just because it's popularly touristy; if it's not good, they'll tell you so and give better recommendations. I love this place!

This is a beautiful quaint little family run oasis on Mitchell Bay. There are hotel style rooms, and private cabins. We stayed in a private cabin on the waterfront for our anniversary this year. The cabins are stunning. Everything was super clean. You have a full kitchen and appliances should you want to cook, even equipped with a BBQ outside! There's a small living space, and the bathroom felt like a luxury spa! The shower had pebbled floorings which were so nice. The bedroom was cozy and comfortable and not to mention pitch black which was amazing for sleep! We slept with all windows open at night and slept great with the cool air and again I can't stress enough how quiet the property is. My favorite part is the windows at the front looking at the water and the little sitting nook by the kitchen. I sat there or in the chairs out front for most of our trip just admiring the water and stillness. So pretty! There's a little greenery area for sitting, play lawn games, or fire pits for smores. They also have kayaks and paddle boards for use during the day which was a nice amenity. They also have a general store and coffee shop on property with everything you might need. My favorite part is their water system that's fully treated and maintained by them. Because of it the shower water is so soft and serene, and the drinking water is amazing straight from the tap! This was a 10/10 stay from top to bottom, and we already can't wait to come back!

Check-in was done at the lobby. At the lobby one will also find a store and a coffee shop. Complimentary movies and games can also be checked out at the lobby to enjoy back at your lodging. The store offers a little bit of everything, from clothing to snacks. Complimentary ice machines are available. Bagged ice can be purchased though. Lower-level parking is limited and was completely full in the evenings. We were lucky enough to get a parking spot every time we returned from playing. Wheel barrel type carts located at the gate make transporting luggage effortless to rooms. Adirondack chairs are scattered about the edge of the property to enjoy sipping a beverage, reading or admiring the view. A fire-pit, community BBQ, picnic area and kids play area help pass the time while on-site. The paly area is at the lobby end for those who do not wish to have quarters near noise. The cabin we were given was number 10, a handicap unit. The very first cabin upon entrance and the furthest from the lobby and play area. Our cabin was clean and well equipped. Snug Harbor provided us the peace that we were seeking at the time. My one suggestion would be to offer fresh baked chocolate chip cookies in the lobby to establish a more personal touch.

Dry and without a hint of miso, it was disappointing. The best item was the side Brussels Sprouts. Crisp and tasty. So, the restaurant and resort are well located, and I'm sure the hotel rooms are nice. You just may want to eat elsewhere.

The rooms, property, and views are stunning. It truly is a special place. My constructive feedback: most of the furniture on the property is very low, making it very difficult for my dad to sit down and stand up. It's surprising considering how many older folks stay with you. I was also surprised to learn quiet time doesn't begin until 11:00 pm. Perhaps that is due to the event spaces on site. However, an earlier quiet time would be a much better fit for the rest and relaxation most are there to enjoy.

The tower rooms are very conveniently attached to the casino and easy to get back-and-forth to your room. If you stay in a Resort Room, that building is not attached and you have to walk through the parking lot to get to the casino. I would say that that's the only downfall during the winter time of staying over there. But that is where the pool is so it just depends on what you're looking for at your stay. I have no complaints about the room, very clean and nice decor. My husband wished there was room service for breakfast the next morning but that is not available. I also wish they had valet parking. There is not nearly enough parking in the parking lot so if you don't find parking, you have to park in the parking garage and then walk all the way around back in to the hotel. Hotel staff were very friendly and the checkout process was easy. The second part of this review is going to be on the service from my work holiday party. The room was beautifully set up and the food was delicious. The staff that were coming around refilling water and taking plates were very attentive and friendly. We really liked Richard. The one employee that we encountered was the bartender assigned to our room. My first encounter from her I thought she was just having a bad day and I let it go. Not welcoming or friendly at all. Not even a smile. But as the night went on people started talking and it seemed everyone was having a not so good encounter from Robyn. She did not ID anyone all night, except my coworker that asked for a mocktail. She was rude to some people and unprofessional to others. It just progressively got worse. Yes the management will be reaching out to the contact they have at the casino to let them know. I was just so taken back about how somebody could go out of their way to be so rude at a fun holiday party. Other than that, the experience was great and I would highly recommend renting an event room there. Is it worth the drive?...yes

The resort provides portage service that we used between Diablo and Ross lakes. Both directions…read morewere extremely slow and unreliable. On the way into Ross, we were the first at the dock: called in to the office and were told 20-30 min. A truck did arrive after 30 min, but it was loaded with passengers for the ferry that first needed to unload, then ferry passengers (who in the meantime arrived) were loaded in front of us onto the truck and left. Then, a second truck with kayaks came - these were then unloaded and we were finally loaded onto a very stinky, loud, and bumpy diesel truck - with us being right behind the exhaust pipe. The ordeal took about 2 hours. On the way back, we were _again_ the first at the dock and told 20-30 min. A truck did arrive after 20 min, but it was loaded with a motorboat that arrived _after_ us. Our kayaks then did not fit safely on the truck and the driver said "I need to leave.". To my request if they can get a driver for the second truck, someone on the other end of the radio replied "We do not have more than 1 truck on the road, and we're short staffed." About an hour later, the truck returns full of canoes, that first needed to be unloaded and finally our kayaks are loaded onto the truck. The truck driver was switched out with a crew of _2_ drivers. Short staffed? Only 1 truck on the road? This return trip took about 2.5 hours. 2 more things about Ross Lake Resort: - They do not assume any reliability for portaging, so whatever breaks even if they loaded it, is not their fault. - They have a noisy generator running all day long. Lies, unreliable service and prioritizing their own resort guests ahead of others makes this a -1/5 in my book.
