They do a great job at fixing broken components - and spot maintenance before it becomes a problem. They're patient too explaining how to use things yearly to me :) as I am a seasonal Rv'er and forget the whole order of operations with propane, water,etc... They are realistic with their scheduling and always seem to do a little extra if I need something while I'm there. I used to drive an hour one way to see them. I moved even further away and I just drove 2 hours one way just to get my service done by them. On August 12, 2024, I contacted Via RV and requested a quote to replace an oil pump. At which…read moretime, they advised that they did not have the correct tools. On April 14, 2025, I followed up with Via RV to see if they would now be able to replace my oil pump. On April 30, 2025, I have my Motorhome towed into Via RV to replace the Oil Pump. Per David at Via RV, after a diagnoses of my motorhome, David advised that it did not need an oil pump and there was just an electrical issue, which he stated he fixed. We drove home approximately 2 miles and all was fine. On May 24, my husband attempted to go out of town and while on the freeway, the same thing happened the motorhome lost all oil pressure and the engine stopped. Due to this being a holiday weekend, on May 27, 2025, I reached out to David at Via RV to advise what happened and we scheduled a mobile mechanic service to come out on 6/13. David states that the charge for the mobile mechanic would be $150.00 unless it fell under the 90-day warranty. Unfortunately, Via RV missed this appointment, with no notice to me and after I reached out to them, they scheduled a mechanic to come out on 6/14. After the mechanic did a diagnosis of our motorhome, he advised that the engine seized, the mechanic contacted David and told us that he would reach out to us on Monday 6/16. Furthermore, it must have fallen under the 90-day warranty as they did not charge me for the appointment. After not hearing from David on 6/16, I followed up via text asking for an update. Davis responded on 6/17 advising I needed to check with other shops as they fix "starting issues" not anything to do with the oil issues that the RV was having. I have my receipt from 4/30 which stating they did replace the oil pump but text messages advising that oil pump did not need to be replaced and it was just an "electrical issue" and they were unable/unwilling to help.

I just reviewed and paid my final invoice after installation of a Victron 900 Ah capacity battery system and extensive re-work of the electrical system on my 45' vintage sailboat. Although the final amount was higher than their initial estimate, this was completely expected and acceptable because every add-on job was discussed with and approved by me in advance. Labor was recorded not by the job as-a-whole, but by each day separately, in order. Each entry noted that date, exact time spent, and a highly detailed description of that day's work. The time matched what I would have expected for the work. It was clear that time was recorded daily rather than hindsight reconstructed by memory when drafting the invoice, long after the work was done. Additionally, each part included the brand name, description, and model number. Wire and other parts were listed by size/type rather than collectively. Moreover, there were no time (labor) entries for a handful of phone calls, in-person on-boat pre-work examination and post-work instruction on equipment and systems, with Q & A. After working with the public my entire career, I've learned that you can't teach people how to care. Paul and Andrew absolutely do. Plus, they're just great guys. I'm thrilled with the quality of Heritage Marine Electric's work and would enthusiastically recommend them, regardless of how small--or large--the job.
