This was our last food stop before heading down to Portland and it was exactly what we needed. We got up early to see the sunrise and needed the energy boost. It's cute inside with a good amount of seating. They were well-stocked on the baked goods and the menu had a lot of breakfast/lunch options. I ordered an iced Cafe de Semih (maple blueberry latte) and a Baxter BLT bagel. The iced latte was good, the blueberry flavor wasn't strong but it was just sweet enough for me. It was a bit heavy on the milk, but I think that's a personal preference thing. The bagel was also solid; it had a lot of filling and was toasted. I didn't get to eat until later and it held up well for the long drive.

Before we left New York for Maine, we put a list together of all the places that we wanted to try whoopies pies from. My family has been making whoopie pies for decades and every time I go to Maine, we try to find pies that remind us of the ones that we make! We enjoyed our whoopie pie from mt Dessert. We liked that this place was off the beaten path and away from some of the chaos of Bar Harbor.

This was my last stop before leaving Bar Harbor and it was a delicious note to end on. I got a blueberry latte with almond milk and it was a bit too milk forward in my opinion and I wish the blueberry flavor was a little more prominent. I also just got a plain bagel with egg and sausage since I wasn't super hungry and it really hit the spot. It's what you'd want in a bagel sandwich, so nothing much to say there. I also got a blueberry scone for the road and that was delicious as well albeit a little lacking in the blueberry flavor in my opinion. If you're looking to try a little breakfast or bakery then I'd highly recommend stopping in here!

Came in for a quick bagel and a coffee. Very charming little spot . It's very cheerful too. I recommended the food and it's not too expensive. Good service & good food.

Love the pun on the name so close to our B&B so I had to stop in. So glad I did. I had a hot latte with whole milk and it was creamy and delicious. The barista was testing out latte art, not quite there yet but I love the attempt. Love that the staff was singing along to the music in the cafe. The place is cute and cozy. Lots of patrons enjoying their morning beverage. Fun stop.

Everything was amazing -- espresso, drip coffee, bagel sandwich, and pastries! So good we're coming back for round two.

Best bite we had all week in Maine was our bagel sandwiches from this little Bakery on Cottage Street. Hot mocha latte was fabulous. Thanks y'all for the great food and kind hospitality!

Six of us stopped in for breakfast before going into Acadia. All our food and drinks were excellent (especially the blueberry tart) and served quickly by friendly staff. Street parking is easier here than right in the center of town.

Mother stuffin' turkey sandwich

If you have the privilege to have their Mother Stuffin' Turkey sandwich, DO IT. Seriously. My god. It holds the perfect ratio of Turkey, real cranberry sauce, and stuffing. Their coffee cake is also superior. My bf and I came back three times while we visited Acadia. Needless to say, I've recommended this bakery to countless people and am shocked I haven't already posted this review.

Great pastries and interesting drinks! Detailed breakdown below: **Service, 5/5** Super friendly and efficient. **Decor & cleanliness, 5/5** Pretty small ordering area that can get cramped, but all the goodies are on display! **Price & portion, 5/5** Pretty reasonable prices -- great for trying multiple items and picking up a quick brekkie or lunch. **Taste of the food, 4/5** - Pumpkin chocolate loaf, 5/5: Great pumpkin flavor, not too sweet, and moist! Fantastic. - Chocolate scone, 2/5: Not a fan of this one. Super dry and dense with very little flavor -- the only saving grace was that it was packed with chocolate chips. - Lemon poppy bundt cake slice, 5/5: Moist, flavorful, and didn't taste at all like artificial lemon. Lovely breakfast! - Iced mocha, 3/5: Tasted a bit watered down for me. - Butterbeer latte, --/5: I personally don't like Butterbeer so not factoring this into my review. But the toffee/butterscotch flavor REALLY comes thru. **Other notes** A few tables outside that seat 2 people each.

Blueberry Scone

Loved the vibes of this place. Quiet morning in downtown Bar Harbor at 7 am on a Saturday. As it was my last stop before leaving the island to head back home, I opted for the blueberry pastries. The blueberry cheese danish and blueberry scone did not disappoint. At the recommendation of the baristas, I tried the maple latte as well. All good things plus polite and friendly staff. Stop by when you're in town!

Red velvet cake

We ordered a cake for a birthday while traveling and it was fabulous. Moist (), tasty (red velvet with cream cheese frosting) and they added some flair sprinkles. Felt festive. The highlight for me though, secretly, was a little blueberry hand pie we bought to take care of trying the requisite Maine blueberry dessert (they are everywhere and in all forms). Thiswas a flavor delight and adorable. I wish we bought more!

This bakery has the best blueberry handpies I've ever had in my life! The other pastries are incredible also and so is their coffee.

Visiting family in the area this seemed to be the best option for coffee and a breakfast sandwich…read morethat was open. We ordered ahead online and everything was already waiting for us when we arrived. Was perfect considering the beautiful weather and how busy they were. It had a rustic feel overall with lots of seating both inside and out. They have a little free library as well. My wife and I each got a create your own breakfast sandwich. I appreciated the amount of options they had including even two sausage patties. I ended up going with a croissant double sausage patties, pepper jack cheese and tomatoes. My wife got a bagel sausage egg and cheese with spinach. Good sized and value for the price. Although, speaking of prices I did have a local family member tell me they raise prices during busy tourist season. Drink wise I got their signature. Choco-latte and my wife got their honey lavender latte seasonal special. Both were well made and full of flavor. Would definitely frequently come here if I were nearby for a morning coffee! Due to ordering online I can't speak to the service fully but we did not have any issues with our food and drink and it was made quickly! Check them out if you want coffee or a breakfast sandwich. Will need to return to try their lunch tacos!

Stopped here several times during our visit to Bar Harbor…read more Pros: open on Sundays! Open til 7pm! Open year round! This place saved us when nothing else was open. The coffee and bagels are also great. We tried the choco-latte, Maine maple, cafe de Oma, and pumpkin spice latte and enjoyed each one! Cons: sometimes friendly service, sometimes not so friendly service The maple oat latte was extremely sweet, much sweeter than the other drinks that we tried

My husband and I traveled to Bar Harbor Maine and we were on a mission to find the best blueberry…read morepie in the area. Mount Desserts Pie Company had thousands of positive reviews, so we decided that's where we had to go. When you arrive, there is a handmade sign on the side of the highway for the shop and the driveway to pull in is a little tricky and takes a minute to figure it out. We pulled up right in front of the doors. Tip: turning right after you enter the driveway says "exit" only, so you have to pull straight ahead, even if it seems like you're not supposed to park there. We headed inside and were greeted by a friendly woman named Brit who had a ton of pie boxes ready to go! We got our blueberry pie and ate half of it in the car after we drove away. The pie was exactly what we wanted: fresh, local, great texture, and buttery crust. It was perfection! Another tip: it's cash or Venmo only and you can call ahead. $35 per pie. It's whole pies only, they don't sell by the slice.

The pies were still warm and she said they come out fresh throughout the day. We texted a few days ahead to place the order, which is definitely recommended. Not sure if they even have pies for walk in. They take credit or Venmo and they have WiFi available as well. The location is a quick turn off the road into an uphill drive. There are only a few spots to park your car but you are only meant to pick up your order and go.
