Before we left New York for Maine, we put a list together of all the places that we wanted to try whoopies pies from. My family has been making whoopie pies for decades and every time I go to Maine, we try to find pies that remind us of the ones that we make! We tried their whoopie pie, which was very delicious, but we also ordered a popover. The popover and the blueberry jam/ honey butter were great!

we went too late so they ran out of blueberry donuts :( the menu was extensive and I enjoyed what I got: - the downeaster: loved the soft roll, along with the fresh lobster. the egg souffle was interesting too - leaf latte: was worried this would be too sweet but it was perfectly balanced, the maple flavor was a bit like burnt maple (in a good way)

Let me tell you about this blueberry donut. If I could give it 10 stars, I would. I'm sure their other options are great, but I would go back to Bar Harbor for this blueberry donut alone.

Way too crowded in here with some surly staff to help customers. Can't blame them for being frustrated dealing with all those people all day. Waited awhile got a popover it was way better with blueberry jam. Parking is no go around here later in the day.

The downeaster with perfectly cooked lobster meat, fluffy egg, and aioli might've been one of the best things I ate while in Bar Harbor. Sooo worth the $18 with the generous amount of lobster meat in it. The brioche bun holds everything in so well. We enjoyed our breakfast down the block at the harbor area. Their popovers were a little too soggy for my taste, but very buttery. My friend got a blueberry scone that she wasn't a fan of either. Go for this sandwich!

Great breakfast sandwiches with fresh rolls, choice of several meats/cheeses, and sauces. My friend's sandwich roll was falling apart (whereas mine was perfect) and they were nice enough to replace his sandwich (he was very grateful and loved the redo).

Fast service, quick and easy system, order one side, pickup one side. You also get a beeper so efficient. There are pastries, t shirts, small gifts. No seating available but there are benches outside on main street.

I was really excited to finally try the famous popovers I'd heard so much about. I ordered one along with a small coffee, and was shocked when the total came out to $12. That alone was mind-blowing, but hey -- tourist town, tourist prices. Part of the deal, I guess. Then came part two: there was nowhere to sit. I asked if the upstairs was open (it was raining, by the way), and the woman behind the counter just said, "It's not open yet," with zero concern. It was 11am. No solution offered. So I had to take my overpriced snack to my car. I started eating it and immediately felt something was off. It tasted raw. It looked raw. So I asked my husband to drive me back. I brought it in and politely showed it to them. Their response? "That's what it's supposed to look like -- creamy." Sorry, what? I told her it tasted raw, and she just doubled down: "It's just doughy and buttery." Look, maybe I'm wrong and that IS how it's supposed to be. But if that's the case, then I guess I don't like popovers. I told them I'd just throw it away. They didn't care. No offer to swap it for something else, no apology, no effort to make it right. Absolutely zero customer service. Super disappointing. So many other shops around to try -- I'd recommend skipping this one entirely.

    Lobster burger- unexpected. Bread okay

Good amount of lobster for the price. It's an order and go place. No where to sit and eat. They even have a bakery here. I was surprised when opening my wrapper and discovering a burger bun. Burger bun is big, you don't get the buttery toasted taste from it like you would with a roll. The ratio is a lot of bun to lobster. The lobster was plenty and fresh but a little lacking in flavor and butter. It had a very light drizzle of mayo. Kinda made the burger a bit dry. It is okay. Some would like it, but not my first choice. My hubby finished my burger and thought it was good and fresh.

The Stadium only offered baked goods and coffee but this was the best breakfast I've had during my visit in Bar Harbor. We tried the blueberry scone, blueberry pie, blueberry donut, and the popovers. The popovers were very good and a great alternative to the Jordan Pond House popovers! It was a shorter line too & they offered maple butter and blueberry jam with it. Keep in mind that they start selling popovers at 9AM (not opening time). We also recommend the blueberry donut and blueberry pie! Very delicious and captures the flavor of blueberries. There was no available seating area so we went straight to the park nearby to enjoy the view of the harbor.

What a welcomed treat on our last morning at Bar Harbor! Ms. Annie's wonderful welcoming disposition made it a great start to our last morning here. We had just come from watching the Cadillac Sunrise~ glorious sight! We enjoyed our tasty Downeaster sandwiches. My husband had a coffee and I gave a go with the Strawberry Shortcake latte!

Really really good coffee & espresso. Open early and efficient at getting you in n out. Prices are fair. Breakfast sandwich and blueberry donut were wonderful. Couldn't say better things! 10/10 experience.

Service is always very fast but I hate they have no seating! The popovers are unique and you absolutely must get the maple butter because it is incredible. The coffee is from Coffee Hound, which is delicious. We tried the Downeaster sandwich, but I personally did not love the egg soufflé - I'm not sure what gets added to it but it is more than eggs, lol. A good amount of lobster though, and my husband said it will haunt his dreams!

FAAAANTASTIC! little bakery in Bar Harbor!…read more While I was on holiday in Maine I stopped in wherever to get my usual...I plain bagel, with butter..and a bottle of orange juice. Some places were good, some...not so much. I mean, how can a plain bagel with butter...be bad? Well, very easily lol. Went to a place in New Hampshire and it was the worst bagel I had ever had. So when I was in Bar Harbor, I had gone to a few places every morning and none of them were as great as this place. It's super close to downtown and all the tourist shops. So I just figured....expensive. Not at all. The bagel was fantastic! they toasted it just right and didn't drown it in butter like so many other places had on that trip. AND! the bagel was just so damn tasty. I like me some bagels lol The staff was so friendly. Just a happy place. The restaurant/bakery itself is so homey. It's very small...so if you wanna get there in the morning like so many do...go as early as you can if you wanna sit down. It's very comfortable in there. It's like a cute little cottage and you just kind of expect to see your adorable little grandma come out with the most amazing breakfast ever with her acting all sweet and grandma-like lol. I only wish I had discovered this place the first day we had gotten there. I would have been a regular for sure. What a pleasant little spot. Seriously, I just loved it and highly recommend anyone and everyone go here for their breakfast. They also have lots of like cookies and shit. I was so proud of myself...I held back and didn't get any even though I could have easily bought one of everything lol. So if you are in the Bar Harbor area and want a nice little spot to go for breakfast...and you see this review...go here! You will love it! If you hate it...you know where to find me....on Yelp lol. I guarantee you will love it tho. If you don't...Ill buy you a cookie to make you happy because obviously you're miserable if you find something wrong with this adorable little bakery :) Thanks so much for reading, Yelpers! Cheers!

Mount Desserts Pie Company had thousands of positive reviews, so we decided that's where we had to go. We pulled up right in front of the doors. Tip: turning right after you enter the driveway says "exit" only, so you have to pull straight ahead, even if it seems like you're not supposed to park there. We headed inside and were greeted by a friendly woman named Brit who had a ton of pie boxes ready to go! We got our blueberry pie and ate half of it in the car after we drove away. The pie was exactly what we wanted: fresh, local, great texture, and buttery crust. It was perfection! Another tip: it's cash or Venmo only and you can call ahead. $35 per pie.
