Service was poor. The owner of the place, a woman, was not friendly. The way she spoke to costumers was baffling. I was shocked how she spoke to Asian customers standing behind me. A tip for the owner: if the line is so important to you, redesign the layout. Currently, the line order is not clear and confusing. Coffee tasted burnt and old. We literally got there the moment they opened at 6:15am. Pastry was good. Asked for mine to be warmed and the owner had some sly remark about that as well. Only came here because it was the only place open after catching the sunrise at Cadillac Mountain. Wasn't worth the hassle for the bad coffee!

Blueberry bagel, lemon blueberry scones

Great blueberry bagels and scones! Feels very local and has a nice patio to sit and enjoy.

Decent quick stop, but nothing special or memorable as far as I'm concerned. There is one picnic table available, but otherwise all takeout. The server working this morning clearly had no time for niceties but she kept the line moving so I'll rate service above average. I grabbed a medium roast flavored with hazelnut and it was definitely a nice blend. Very pleasantly smooth with no bitterness. I imagine they brew frequently to keep up with the lines. I also grabbed a slice of lemon chiffon cake and that was pretty meh. I expected more on the sweet front. It wasn't bad in terms of flavor. The lemon was bright but the cake was on the dry and crumby side. Next time I'm downtown in Bar Harbor I might pop into a different shop. Although I wouldn't mind another coffee from Eden.

Peanut butter whoopie pie

Giving this place a lower review because the workers were not very inviting or nice. We got some dessert to go - a peanut butter Whoopie pie and a coconut slice. The desserts were pretty good.

Great bagels, biscuits and croissants. Very nice service and selection. Easy to pickup and head back to the hotel or to the park.

The coconut chocolate bar was so good. The PBLT also had a great bun. Comes with a bag of chips.

Go early and beat the rush! Coffee was great and the pastry was handmade. I scooted out of town but they had a small patio for dining.

FANTASTIC! FANTASTIC! FAAAANTASTIC! little bakery in Bar Harbor!…read more While I was on holiday in Maine I stopped in wherever to get my usual...I plain bagel, with butter..and a bottle of orange juice. Some places were good, some...not so much. I mean, how can a plain bagel with butter...be bad? Well, very easily lol. Went to a place in New Hampshire and it was the worst bagel I had ever had. So when I was in Bar Harbor, I had gone to a few places every morning and none of them were as great as this place. It's super close to downtown and all the tourist shops. So I just figured....expensive. Not at all. The bagel was fantastic! they toasted it just right and didn't drown it in butter like so many other places had on that trip. AND! the bagel was just so damn tasty. I like me some bagels lol The staff was so friendly. Just a happy place. The restaurant/bakery itself is so homey. It's very small...so if you wanna get there in the morning like so many do...go as early as you can if you wanna sit down. It's very comfortable in there. It's like a cute little cottage and you just kind of expect to see your adorable little grandma come out with the most amazing breakfast ever with her acting all sweet and grandma-like lol. I only wish I had discovered this place the first day we had gotten there. I would have been a regular for sure. What a pleasant little spot. Seriously, I just loved it and highly recommend anyone and everyone go here for their breakfast. They also have lots of like cookies and shit. I was so proud of myself...I held back and didn't get any even though I could have easily bought one of everything lol. So if you are in the Bar Harbor area and want a nice little spot to go for breakfast...and you see this review...go here! You will love it! If you hate it...you know where to find me....on Yelp lol. I guarantee you will love it tho. If you don't...Ill buy you a cookie to make you happy because obviously you're miserable if you find something wrong with this adorable little bakery :) Thanks so much for reading, Yelpers! Cheers!

This place is outstanding! I love the food!…read more The ambiance is fantastic I would definitely fire Sarah though. Terrible worker. I will return if she is no longer working there.

Visiting family in the area this seemed to be the best option for coffee and a breakfast sandwich…read morethat was open. We ordered ahead online and everything was already waiting for us when we arrived. Was perfect considering the beautiful weather and how busy they were. It had a rustic feel overall with lots of seating both inside and out. They have a little free library as well. My wife and I each got a create your own breakfast sandwich. I appreciated the amount of options they had including even two sausage patties. I ended up going with a croissant double sausage patties, pepper jack cheese and tomatoes. My wife got a bagel sausage egg and cheese with spinach. Good sized and value for the price. Although, speaking of prices I did have a local family member tell me they raise prices during busy tourist season. Drink wise I got their signature. Choco-latte and my wife got their honey lavender latte seasonal special. Both were well made and full of flavor. Would definitely frequently come here if I were nearby for a morning coffee! Due to ordering online I can't speak to the service fully but we did not have any issues with our food and drink and it was made quickly! Check them out if you want coffee or a breakfast sandwich. Will need to return to try their lunch tacos!
