Fast service, convenient located by the Whale Watch Company so you can grab a snack beforehand. I ordered iced Matcha latte and vanilla frappe. Both great! I also got a turkey avocado sandwich. It was so delicious! Nice seating area. Like the touch of fresh flowers on the table and of course open window seating.

    Lobster crape and blueberry crape.

Little place more for carry out, delicious coffee drinks, Lobster crape was one of the best things I've ever eaten, a bit expensive but hey you're on vacation, parking in bar harbor on a Sunday is a nightmare, We got coffees here twice. Would absolutely eat here again/ curbside pick up Togo

The service was friendly the coffee and the Frappuccino were great the lobster BLT for breakfast was amazing. A nice amount of lobster fresh and delicious. Everything was fresh and well-made.

Sunrise Cafe was recommended in almost every Bar Habor itinerary, and I can see why! It was way less busy than we had expected on a Sunday morning, and we were able to snag a table right away. We went up to order at the counter and each got a Dirty Chai Latte, as well as the Smoked Salmon Bagel and Blueberry Pie to share. Service was quick and friendly! Our Dirty Chai Lattes were very tasty and ideal for a cool autumn morning. The Smoked Salmon Bagel was also great - the bagel itself was nothing special, but the Smoked Salmon was absolutely delicious. And of course, the Blueberry Pie was easily the best we'd ever had - perfect crust, perfect level of sweetness, perfect flavor. I regret not ordering another slice to-go! Overall, highly recommend Sunrise Cafe for a cozy, tasty breakfast in Bar Harbor.

I'm a crepe! Brie, green apple, prosciutto crepe. Very good!

Wakey wakey, crepes and bakey! Excellent coffee and crepes. Just a few feet from Harborside Hotel, my family and I were able to enjoy breakfast at this casual cafe several times during our stay in downtown Bar Harbor. I really enjoyed my super stuffed "Brie, Green Apple, and Prosciutto Crepe" with a Cardamom Coffee while my kids totally ate up their "Bacon, Egg, and Cheese" and "Strawberry Nutella" crepes. With 20 sweet and savory crepe options, other breakfast and lunch choices, and great coffee, this is a great spot to start your day. NOTES/TIPS: **Beautiful oceanside view. Outdoor seating available. Some tables have covering overhead. **No frills on the inside. Gorgeous view outside.

Sunrise Cafe was my favorite spot for food in Bar Harbor. My friend and I loved it so much, we came in twice during the duration of our visit. The staff was friendly and service was fast! They charge reasonable prices for a place located right on the waterfront. I ordered the Turkey Avocado Club on wheat bread to-go so we could have lunch in Acadia. I know it seems like a simple order and that you could probably order this at many places, but they knocked it out of the park. Everything the sandwich contained was perfect and tied together nicely. The sandwich also came with chips and a pickle. I highly recommend Sunrise Cafe to everyone and I already see myself coming back the next time I visit Bar Harbor!

Best cappuccino in Bar Harbor. The breakfast sandwiches are also delicious! Scone/muffins just ok.

Awesome service and great place for lunch. Sandwiches and crepes are all made with fresh ingredients. Best blueberry pie in Maine.

Run, don't walk to Sunrise. Four or five small tables, great service and great food. A+ cafe au lait, muffins, crepes.

You would struggle to find a cafe or restaurant with a better view, as this looks out over a harbor that is basically what you'd picture in your head for being in Maine. The menu included buckwheat crepes both sweet and savory and some gelato, so I indulged and got a crepe with gelato on the side. Even the sweet crepes use a buckwheat base, which I liked. The earthy flavor makes a useful contrast with the sweetness. Their house caramel sauce was buttery and toasty in flavor and combined well with bananas, so say nothing of the smooth stracciatella gelato I mixed with it. I couldn't have asked for much more.

I get nervous when I hear about a gelato shop. Am I *really* going to get gelato? The kind I've…read morefawned over in Europe? The reviews and mission at Freya's appeared promising, so I decided to give it a go, especially since the product is made in-house. Unfortunately for our group of four, there was only one flavor of gelato left an hour before closing time (and good for Freya's). My spouse went for that gelato--coffee--while the rest of our group went the sorbetto route. There were four flavors remaining: strawberry, passionfruit, guava, and lime + jasmine. I had tastes of everything, including the gelato. Sorbetto-wise, I was especially impressed with the strawberry, and the passionfruit was a close second. My only nit pick is that the guava was icier than the other three sorbettos, but the flavor was still punchy and refreshing. As for the gelato, it was European quality. Huzzah! I was so mad that I hadn't gone earlier in the day for more of a gelato selection. That taste of coffee really left a good impression. I'm thrilled to report that the folx at Freya's know what they're doing with their gelato and sorbettos. If you're snobby about your gelato, rest assure! You'll be really happy at Freya's.
