This morning, I ate breakfast with my mother at Camino Corner across the street. 45 min later, my bike was dead. I came back later in the evening with my jumper box only to find out it wasn't fully charged like the indicator indicated. It was in fact, dead too, like my Harley. I'm kneeling next to my Harley in defeat. I hear a loud motorcycle across the street. I look up. Holy Smokes! It's Marcus. I run across El Camino like Frogger. I told him about my brand new 2021 Harley Sportster and the dead battery. He grabs an apparatus and we walk on over. The battery is dead, dead. It won't start. He helps me push it back to his shop. Risking his young life, in between the speeding cars. He hooks my bike to a trickler and tells me to pick it up in the morning. I ask him what time he opens up in the morning. He tells me he's closed. This is the type of service I'd expect if I had been a loyal customer for years. I had barely met Marcus. He hadn't received a penny from my wallet, yet, he was treating me like royalty. I'll return tomorrow morning, buy a jacket or something. There's a few things wrong with my 2013 Vulcan, (3 accidents) and I know where I'll be taking it for some fixing and/or upgrades. Hell, I might even get my first tattoo upstairs! I am an absolute motorcycle noob trying to learn how to ride. I signed up for a training course & need a few things for the class. They are currently by apmt only. I texted the number & made an apmt for the next day with Marcus. I had also sent him the check list of everything I needed. When I got there he had already known everything I needed. He was super helpful & patient. Being a biking newbie I was really nervous to learn but he answered all the questions I had & definitely calmed my nerves. He gave great pointers & input of what to expect in the course. Marcus is extremely knowledgeable & honest. He could have easily up charged/ripped me off or convinced me to buy something else that I didn't need for the class which unfortunately happens a lot to females when they go to buy something they have no idea about but he didn't. As a new rider, learning the ropes is #1. Marcus is always on top of helping me out, gearing up, and on top of all that he fixes bikes. Everyone can find a car repair shop; they're everywhere. My bike had been sitting in my garage for 1.5 years and the gasoline had gone bad and actually clumped up everything in my carbs. It was safe to say that my bike was beyond the good old YouTube DIY fix and required professional help. Jeff was my main point of contact and had kept me updated though out the whole process. Very friendly and informative. Thanks man. These guys did a full service to my bike + drained/replaced my fuel with new + carburetor rebuild + detailed it. They were even friendly enough to replace my right turn signal free of cost. That is the definition of customer service. Price of everything was reasonable and fair. Rule #1: I do not review a place based on my first-time experiences with the business. There are very few exceptions to this rule; excellent customer service is one of them. Motorcycle Madness has perfected the art! I took my friend's bike (my future bike) in at 5:30PM on a Wednesday for what I thought was a necessary oil change. Motorcycle Madness was the first highly rated place I found on yelp so I called to see if they had room. Even though they close at 6PM, they said they had some time so I went in. I was greeted by a very nice young lady who took care of all the paperwork and answered a lot of my questions. Marcus, the owner, came to greet me as well and asked some questions of his own. After assessing/inspecting the bike, Marcus pointed out that the tires were balding and showed me. He had me sit on another bike to feel the difference between the two, and explained how much danger I'm putting myself into by not taking care of this sooner. I don't know much about bike maintenance but I'm pretty avid on the car knowledge end of the automobile spectrum, so I was pretty shocked to learn all the things I'd missed. He checked the bike out further and determined that the tire was priority #1, so I postponed to oil change. He grabbed a tire from the back and quoted me an AWESOME price deal. I asked when I should come back because it was 6PM already. Even though it was time for them to close, Marcus STILL made the time to fix my tire, which took about an hour or so, simply because he did not want me compromising my safety on the road. Once the bike was almost done, he took me around to the garage to show me all the things he noticed about the bike like how much life was left on the brakes and the rear wheel in terms of time and miles, and explained which are important to address first. He gave me very affordable price quotes for the parts and labor. He wiped down the bike and made it nice and shiny before he test drove it. After he got a feel for the bike he found a couple more things he wanted to tune up (like the freeplay on the throttle, at NO charge!) so that the bike would perform at its best. I don't know about you, but people who genuinely care about the well-being of vehicles AND their drivers are hard to come by. I'm not sure what the one-star goobers on this page were thinking writing their lame reviews, but my first experience here was great enough to warrant an immediate review. I wish all places took this much care and consideration for their customers and this much pride in their business. I'm so happy to have found a place that I could trust and rely upon to provide honest and genuine service. PS - Cleanest bathroom in a repair shop/tattoo parlor I have ever had the pleasure of using in my entire life. I was really lucky to get to this shop! A professional and courteous team helped fix the issue, that was due to a large piece of aluminum stuck like a razor blade in the tire. When I brought the bike in, Jefferey started writing up the estimate. While doing so, both he and Todd, the mechanic, gave my bike the look over and found a few other items that needed attention: rear tire, chain, oil change. They don't really handle major repairs but for all the other typical service items for my bike, they do it great. My experiences here so far have been really good. The service is great. I like how they answered all my questions and everything was done on time as promised. During one visit, I brought in one my bikes because I had a concern with it. They looked it over, even took it for a ride, and gave me a candid assessment and didn't even charge for it. That's some service right there. Can't really ask for more than that. I was made to feel that I am not worthy to purchase a motorcycle from here. Here's my story about my HD Nightster, Mel, Marcus and a really hot Asian chick that needs her own Yelp.... I'm not above getting dirty or trying my hand at my own maintenance. I do a little on my car, a little on my bike. But when I need some real help, I go to people that are the masters at their craft. Hence my first stop into Motorcycle Madness. I noticed about a month ago that the front forks were sagging lower than normal. I thought maybe it was just me, as I hadn't been riding for a little while on account of the weather - but my friends noticed it as well, so I knew then that it wasn't just me. I did some poking around, found a great deal I couldn't pass up on the fork springs and new shocks from Progressive Suspension that I wanted to swap out the stock ones for. I also had some other upgrades that I needed to have MM take care of for me, as one of the bolts on the bike had a stripped head (from previous owner), that was preventing me from moving forward with the little add-ons I had. I know my limitations mechanically, and this needed a professional. I won't lie to you - I read the reviews here on Yelp. I read how Marcus is rude, how the girl answering the phones wasn't calling people back in a timely manner, yadda, yadda, yadda.......The hot Asian chick is a throw in at their store. She deserves her own Yelp....Some times, people have to realize that the world just doesn't revolve around them. Anyway, I went into this completely open minded. We've all had long days, been buggered with too many questions, nothing goes right at work, fight with the significant other, someone pisses in your corn flakes...whatever. It happens. I wanted to make my own judgements and post my own opinions and review. Mel (girl on the phone), was nothing but polite to me. She gave me a rough guesstimate of the cost and about how long it would take when I initially called, and again when I dropped off the bike. She gave me a status update when I called to see how things were going and let me know that there would be a delay because parts needed to be ordered - which was fine. I go to pick up the bike, walk in and Mel and I talk for a bit while finalizing the paperwork and I ask about the owner. She points to the guy outside and I go out there to say thanks. At this point, I'm ready for the rude asshole to appear, right? I mean, based on prior reviews, that's what you'd expect. Dead-F'ing-Wrong. Marcus was nothing but polite and cordial. He shook my hand with a smile on his face and proceeded to go over with me what was done with the bike, and he even replaced the spark plugs for me while we were standing there shooting the breeze. We started talking about the changes I was wanting to do and he offered up other alternatives that were both a time and money saver. Who does that? Who says to a customer, "Here, you can get the same thing/effect if you do this and buy that instead. Oh, and by the way - I can order it for you and here's the cost." Or says to you, "You know what? You want the blacked out look? Here's what would look fucking cool..." I never got that treatment at a HD dealership. Not once. Not ever. I know I took up more of his time than I should have, as I kept him past his open time for a good 40 minutes or so. Sure, some times people are in a hurry to get out, they have lives outside of work - but this particular day, he wasn't. And I'm grateful for the time he spent with me personally to go over things with my bike and things for adding onto it in the future. I'll definitely be coming to Motorcycle Madness from here on out. You may need to adhere to a little patience, it's not a dealership and they're not turning out one bike after the other with a turnstyle. They take their time to do it right, they do quality work, they're professional and it shows. You want in-and-out? Go get a burger. You want quality work at a very competitive price? Go see Mel, Marcus and the hot Asian chick that needs her own Yelp - you won't be disappointed in the results. read more

Marcus, I completely agree with you, and yes, I should have taken the bike in for an inspection before I bought it, but I didn't. Hence, why I brought it in to you. My problem with the experience I had at Motorcycle Madness was not that you couldn't fix my bike. Instead of being truthful, your story changed many times from the motorcycle being a rideable bike to not being ridable at all, and ending with you saying my bike being a P.O.S and you regretted taking it in. I respect your views on Ninja's, but I would have taken it elsewhere if I knew what your true feelings were. Don't be like me! Get your bike inspected! (PS.
