I found about 6-7 I liked, only 3 of those had my size, so I ended up purchasing those three (brands including Dr. Scholl's, Kelly & Katie, and Anne Klein), which was ideal, preventing me from overspending. I prefer simple and comfortable when it comes to shoes, nothing flashy, and DSW usually has good options. This store, in particular, stood out during my recent visit. It's the first two-story DSW I've been to. And everything was clean and organized, well stocked for the most part. Not to mention, they had great purses on display too (more than I've seen at other locations of this chain). There was hardly a wait for service to make my purchase on Tuesday afternoon. And staff was helpful and efficient at the register, which I appreciated. The customer service was poor, and the manager, Raul, was not helpful. Considering how much they charge for their clothing, a much higher level of customer service is expected. I said, "if you actually provided people with baseline customer service then probably you won't feel like people are stealing anymore." I received a full pair of shoes to try on after that. It was difficult to get any type of followup so I left and decided not to shop here in person or online ever again. Is this what retailers mean when they claim they have to close a store due to theft? It sounds like the so called "theft" are really the workers not interested in doing their jobs but still getting paid. I hope the conversation was good.
