BEWARE OF THE OWNER This was my first time and will be the last time here. The owner seemed very friendly at first. But when it was time for me to ask for the pricing, he was very secretive about it. Never gave me a full summary of each item. When I picked up my clothes, he still didn't give me a full summary or pricing, instead grabbing my credit card to charge. Then proceeded to joke that it's 'millions'. I asked him again only met with the same response. I asked him again for a summary. Only after he charged my credit card, he brought out the summary, and showed me the ridiculously charges. I asked him why is a simple dress cost so much, which he replied 'happy everyday'. I do not want to argue and left with the feeling of being robbed. This owner is very shaddy in his conduct of doing business. Beware when you deal with him. read more

I wanted to try a new dry cleaners, closer to my house. I turned in several shirts and a pair of pants. I asked for a price and was told a number quite a bit higher than what I'm normally charged at other places. I thought there might have been a misunderstanding, since he told me in a rush, but no, that was right because he decided to do the more expensive dry cleaning for each shirt instead of laundering as I asked. After discussing with him on pick up, he got very defensive and said that was the price I agreed to. No attempt to understand, work anything out. Fine, but I won't be back and my advice is if you use Hill Cleaners is to ask for an itemized price list before you leave your clothes. You may find cheaper prices with the same quality elsewhere. I went here regularly for a few years. Shop owner is friendly, if a little quirky. He learns your name, doesn't need to look you up. I only cleaned collared shirts, so YMMV on alterations/etc. Pricing is pretty good (best of the three in the complex) for shirt clean+starch+iron. Clothing always came back, never damaged, and were almost always clean (there were a couple exceptions with tough-to-clean chemicals, but many hundreds of successes).
