The owner needs to stop being a shady, dishonest, peddler of lies and garbage work! He wrote me up a contract for a good slightly used engine, but what he neglected to tell me was it comes with poor compression, an intake valve leak from front cylinder, completely seized beyond repair oil pressure release valve so pressure was through the roof, and oh I can't forget about the terrible crank shaft end play issue! End play was so bad that the compensating sprocket was kissing the inside of the outer primary and grinding away the outer primary from the inside out. Also it is forcing me to remove the engine myself (which I've never done) and split the crankcase (also never done) in order to figure out what exactly he did wrong, if it's fixable how much it'll cost but if not how much it's gonna cost to replace what needs replacing! Oh and due to the end play problems the clutch basket and hub are now being worn down by the primary chain bc they are no longer in alignment with the compensating sprocket! I will never trust him with anything mechanical as long as he lives!! I strongly suggest you stay clear of his place of shady business dealings! If you're unlucky enough to have your bike there now, I'd rush and get it moved somewhere else! read more

I've been using yelp now for years and I've never felt compelled to write a review. John and M1 Kustoms changed that. I had an aftermarket fender on my Harley that needed to be modified to fit a seat. John was extremely thorough in his process with his explanation, and he preformed the task in a quick and timely manner. Being that I just bought the bike, John poked around, and found some issues that my dealer had skipped over. Now I'm holding the dealer accountable since its still under the 60 day warranty. Just finish my appointment with John and today is 05/08/2020. Front and back tires done. What it really amaze me when I first met him just for him to check out my bike (2014 Street Glide) what needs to be done. A simple kindness that he says...do you want something to drink? I'm about to say cold beer please. But it's not the right time to do that. Maybe after work. I had the opportunity to sit back and relax to his back yard keep me cool under his orange trees. Extra mile of doing such good things. Too much to list of what he does this day. Oh well can't let this kindness pass. Even I didn't mention about the horn doesn't work but still he found out it's not working. So he fix it. Another wowww for that. He also ask me if I want to change the air nozzle tube from the back tire because it is straight. It is a lot easier for me to put air on it if it is bended. Another wowww again. This review has been long coming. I purchased my 14 Street Glide this last summer 2019 and was looking for better treatment then I was getting with HD dealers. Wow! Am I happy I found John! I met John on a ride and started chatting him up about some work I'd done on my Softail to fix a bad transmission shaft seal leak. I told him what the dealership was going to charge and he then told me his price. Of course I wished I'd met him sooner, but also thought I'd saved some money doing it myself even though I'd taken two weeks to do it. I've had my bike 12 years and like doing my own work. Unfortunately I had not stopped the leak and finally decided it was time to bring it to a pro. John had the bike apart in just a few hours along with an estimate. He found what I had missed and even sent me some pictures....which were worth more than a thousand words. He ordered the parts Monday afternoon. He called me on Tuesday afternoon to let me know the bike was ready. I didn't even ask for a rush! I came in on Wednesday and he went over everything again, including showing me the old parts. John was more than happy to go over all the details of what was fixed without making me feel rushed (I like details). He then had me check to see that the clutch adjustment was to my liking before I left. Based on the attention to detail, honest pricing, and overall good service, I highly recommend M1 Kustoms. It was like pulling teeth trying to find a shop to simply mount my motorcycle tire on to my rim. I called the handful of shops in the area with no luck. I received either a voicemail or something wrong with there tire machine or air compressor. I don't usually trust businesses with no reviews but I was running out of options. I called M1 Kustoms expecting the same but got the total opposite and more. Adriana answered the phone after a ring (yes a real person not a voicemail) and we went from there. I ask for a quote and was transferred to John (the mechanic) and he was able to get me set up from there. They gave me a time I could come in and drop off the rim and tire. The establishment is tucked in a complex on Douglas when you open the door you come in to a nice and clean garage and across the way an office surrounded by glass windows. It was a very neat and clean look, the way business should be conducted. I gave them my information and I was on my way. I went ahead an did some errands. They called me when it was done and I picked it up shortly after. They mounted the tire and balanced the wheel with no problems. They added a valve stem and cap which I forgot to bring in with no extra charge. Then I was on my way with my tire and a cool M1 Kustom shirt. Freebies are always a plus for me. They told me that they've been open for less than a year which explains the lack of reviews. If they continue to conduct business like this I'm sure that they will be around for years.
