My bike wouldn't be where it's at without TMF cycles. They always steer me in the right direction. Fast shipping, and good customer service.

All the times I have been at this location, the staff have been helpful and knowledgeable for the gear that I am looking at. I took some time to try on different helmets as it was time for me to replace my older helmet. The female staff member approached me and kindly offered some selections of helmets, adding the benefits of each. I used to also go to their old location north of 84 on El Camino, and I am extremely glad they moved to this location. Much larger space and very modern look for a Cycle Gear. Parking is also very easy as there is plenty of space in the back lot but also some easy parking right in front of the store. Thank you once again!

I would like go spend more time browsing there but the sales reps are on you like glue. I imagine most folks like that so not faulting them for it. I personally just don't like being asked questions when I am looking at stuff. Sometimes one is not interested - just curious. If I say I don't need help I like to be left alone, not monitored, and if I have a question I will ask. But all in all - great store.

Nini at the front desk was absolutely perfect for the job imo: compassionate, reassuring, and exactly what a first-timer needs before throwing a leg over a bike for the first time for real. Freddie and Henry were great too, really easy dudes to talk to and very helpful with sharing tips and other pointers for me. I'll be honest, I dropped the bike an equal number of times on both sides over the weekend, all at zero mph (embarassing af). Symmetrically bruised ego, perfectly balanced. Returning it felt intimidating, but the whole team handled it with zero judgment and genuine professionalism. I didn't try to hide anything and they made the whole process painless, albeit with some monetary penalties caused by my inexperience (I own up to this though). I'm leaving with my wallet lighter but with my heart genuinely fuller for the experience. The environment this shop creates for nervous beginners like me is genuinely rare, and it made me feel supported and motivated to come back and do better next time. Will absolutely be back for my next rental and keep getting ride time in, because real experience gained like I did is priceless. The human element of the shop is just cherry on top, and makes me feel good I'm supporting a local business. Shoutout to Nini, Freddie, and Henry. You made a squid feel welcome.

I came in and talked to Richard and he is knowledgeable/ honest about the bikes. He isn't pushing you to buy a bike, he just wants to give you all the details to make you feel comfortable in your purchase. Most of these bikes are bought at auctions and then brought to this shop to go through their inspection and then resold. The first bike I bought was a 2006 Honda CBR1000 w/ aftermarket OEM fairings. Had the bike for just little over 60 days when the lower fairing flew off when riding down the freeway. Went back to J&M and said that I don't feel safe on this bike if parts can fly off the bike while riding without any warnings. The shop mechanic Daniel said he is willing to take the bike in on a trade and since they treated me fair I accepted and got a 07 Suzuki GSXR 600. This bike was mechanically and cosmetically sound. I was beyond excited to have the bike and put almost 1000 miles on the bike before another safety incident happened. My clutch cover engine case cracked and the clutch was completely inoperable. By the grace of God, I was only pushing the bike in neutral out of my garage when I heard the crack. I reached back out to the shop mechanic Daniel and he said he'd take a look at it. There was a bolt that wasn't properly loctite glued in place and that's what caused my clutch to give out and case to break. He had a spare cover and bolt in stock and once again came through to help me. After test riding the back and making sure everything was safely operable he gave the bike back to me. He did let me know that this wasn't caught by him nor his team because it isn't apart of their safety inspection. I'll admit when it happened I was highly upset that I had a second safety issue with a bike I bought from them. But Daniel and his team at J&M were empathetic and still made sure that I was taken care of. Overall, I still can firmly recommend J&M Motorsports to anyone. What happened to me with the bikes I got from J&M could have happened to anyone who got their bike elsewhere. Just look at Harley Davidson. They just had a recall on the 2017 bikes they made because the oil line came apart causing people to crash. So the fact that I got a preowned bike from J&M and they still took care of me even after I purchased the bike is what I call excellent customer service.

End play was so bad that the compensating sprocket was kissing the inside of the outer primary and grinding away the outer primary from the inside out. Also it is forcing me to remove the engine myself (which I've never done) and split the crankcase (also never done) in order to figure out what exactly he did wrong, if it's fixable how much it'll cost but if not how much it's gonna cost to replace what needs replacing! Oh and due to the end play problems the clutch basket and hub are now being worn down by the primary chain bc they are no longer in alignment with the compensating sprocket! I will never trust him with anything mechanical as long as he lives!! I strongly suggest you stay clear of his place of shady business dealings! If you're unlucky enough to have your bike there now, I'd rush and get it moved somewhere else!

In early November 2019, I contacted Ducati North American customer service to find out if a…read moreclattering engine noise (suspected piston slap) in my 2018 Scrambler 1100 was a known problem and whether a technical service bulletin (TSB) had been issued. My reason for asking is that mine clattered like an old time Gattling gun and I was researching the problem on the Scrambler forums, where it was discussed but very little was known. At the time I was trying to arrange an appointment with my dealer to have the noise investigated. Before that occurred, I was contacted by Raymond R. at DNA who offered to contact my dealer and let them know that DNA was interested in resolving my problem and to offer any assistance they needed. It's not possible to know if a gentle prod from the "home office" helps a dealer focus, but focus they did. My bike was on the rack a couple of days later and a diagnosis covered by Ducati's warranty was made by the tech. From that diagnosis until the bike was fixed took six weeks, but none of that delay was due to Raymond or DNA customer service. Rather, the situation at the dealership was chaotic, caused up by a several personnel changes (not all voluntary) which resulted in the project going sideways. Tough break for me, but it's winter here and we don't ride much in winter anyway. During that period, Raymond would regularly check in with the dealership or me in an effort to keep communication lines open and to move things along. Understand that customer service has no authority over a dealership, the best they can do is offer encouragement and maybe put dealer personnel in contact with the right Ducati parts specialists or direct them to other resources. Knowing someone from DNA was actively trying to get the problem fixed made me feel better, but I can't say that it did any good with the dealer. But give Raymond an A for effort. In any event, the job was finished successfully before the new year and I got my Scrambler back, better than ever. The one letdown from DNA customer service: I never got an answer to my question about whether a TSB on piston slap had been issued or not. Of course, once my problem was fixed, I didn't really care about the TSB, except out of idle curiosity. I rated DNA customer service five stars for their focus on assisting dealers and customers solve problems, thereby keeping customers happy with their purchase of Ducati products. Today, that's the name of the game. One more thing: their phone number is 1 888 391-5446 and Raymond's extension is 106.
