Best dirtbike shop in town! Rich is the nicest guy with a great memory for people. He is extremely knowledgeable and talented at working on bikes. Great prices, great service, great company! I won't go anywhere else now. read more

Ever since I trusted Rich at Motosource with my 06 YZ450 it has been a rocket ship! Valve adjust, bigger jets and rebuilt shock have allowed me to more than keep pace with brand new bikes. Ordered front and rear Galfer brake rotors thru the shop to help me with the extra speed. If you listen you might just get some of Rich's riding tips. He's a fast Expert. I listened and immediately started winning. This shop is the real deal. read more

Quit racing in 2010. Been years since I had to pay for parts. Got my kids a few bikes and Moto Source has been great to deal with. Never went there before. They just were opening and getting their name out when i quit racing. Nothing but great things to say about them. Today i get to take my kids out because of the extra effort they put in to help me. They just earned a loyal customer for years to come.. Thank you read more

All of my friends and family with bikes and myself, have all been treated to the best service, workmanship and courtesy you can get. I fully trust two moto shops in town. This is one of them. read more

I was very hesitant to try another shop after having gone to a few in the area, and after looking at the Yelp reviews and also speaking to the owner Rich on the phone, I thought I would give this one a try. I'm very happy I did. They were very down to earth and unassuming. They quality of work was excellent. It's a small shop, run by family, who seem to really care about providing great, affordable service to customers. This shop has definitely earned my respect and my business. read more

service great !!! I told my friend and he took his bike there too. thanks you Rich !!!

Our local chapter of the GoldWing Road Riders have been doing business with Rich since he opened his shop, and we all like him and trust him. Personally, I've had Rich work on my bikes for years. HIs knowledge and skill are unquestionable. I trust him to not only do what I ask, but to pay attention to my bike. He has found things I didn't bring the bike in for, and let me know when there was an issue I needed to deal with. Rich considers every job that comes into his shop as a representation of the professionalism, attention to detail, and conscientious work ethic that he wants his shop to represent. My bike never goes anywhere else. Georeg R. Woodside read more

When I move to a new state I dread 2 things: finding a new barber and finding a new bike shop. Both involve trust. This is now my new bike shop. Pros: Excellent customer service. Went first for an oil change/general service. Decided to come back again for new tire purchase/install. My bike is my only transportation and the owner offered to drop/pick me up from work during service (I work a few blocks away). They may price match or get close enough if you ask (e.g. revzilla). Overall good group of guys (family owned?) who seem very competent in what they do. Minor Con: Lack of road bike gear selection. I feel lucky to have found this place. It never came up on my phone's search for local shops. I just happened to pass it omw home from work. Don't let the Motocross theme fool you. I ride strictly road and this is an awesome shop. Great service, more than fair prices! Rich charges me half the price that BVH charged me for servicing my ATV. I have ordered many parts and they always come fast. All my repairs and services have been done on time. Great guys. read more

After arriving new to Reno, I received a few tips on where to go / take my dirt bike for parts, repair, accessories. . . Rich, his wife and their staff were the most professional, helpful, gracious, informative , honest and fair bike shop I can recall doing business with. I've always felt lucky and fortunate to be on motorcycles since the early 80's. . . I feel the same about finding Moto-Source! read more

Awesome people that always point me in the right direction, and never fail to help me out with anything that I need whether I'm at their shop or come to them at the races. Always recommend going here for any of your motorcycle needs! read more

I am so disappointed I did not come here earlier. I used to go to another shop in town and was always let down by the service I got. I have brought several bikes here with a range of problems from electrical, suspension, and just routine maintenance. Every time I get my bike back it is on time, fixed right, and very fair priced. Rich, Dean, and Brendon are always helpful and very knowledgeable. I would recommend this shop to anyone who wants good,FAIR PRICED, quality work done to their bike. read more

Customer interaction and communication was good. I purchased tires from them, and brought the rims myself to have the tires installed. However, they scratched my expensive forged Aprilia rims during a tire change, after I had asked up front and was reassured that this would not be a problem. There are also gouges, though very minor. While I like to support local business, I'll be ordering a No-Mar and doing it myself next time. PS: The only bike shop in Reno where I have not received this kind treatment to my rims is Freedom Cycle. Wish I had taken them there! read more

Rich and Jerry get it done. Jerry answered all my questions about gear and although I ended up buying some stuff elsewhere due to sizing I took my bike in later to get a headlight installed. Rich and his shop are dialed. His work was perfect. You can tell he takes pride in his business and will do whatever it takes to please the customer. The pricing was very reasonable and will return for future service. read more

Recently bought a new-to-me '72 Honda XL 250 Motosport which wasn't running. I've haven't ridden bikes in a long time so I found Motosource via Yelp reviews. All I needed was the coil to be tested. Didn't get the young man's name, it was on a Saturday, but he took the coil to the back room and had it tested. When he brought it back I asked "how much for the testing?" he politely said "no charge". I was impressed! I don't expect free service. Just want to give a positive shout out re Motosource. Thank you! read more

Went to them to get my carb on my dr350 cleaned and re-jetted for the new mods and elevation. They didn't list anything they did with the carb settings, but indicated it was "tuned". Brought it in to be jetted two times. Apparently, all they did with the carb was clean it the first time and add a shim to the fuel needle to run slightly richer the second time. Months later, I opened up my carb because my plug was white from a lean condition only to find that they never even changed the main jet which was absolutely necessary and extremely easy. They left a stock 127.5 jet in there when the opened up airbox and aftermarket exhaust called for the main jet to be at least a 137.5. Due to them having no written record of what they did to my carb, I was unaware of how lean my bike was actually running. Assuming I didn't open up the carb myself, my bike would still be running dangerously lean which would have eventually cooked my motor. So on two different occasions, I brought my carb in to be rejetted, and they basically did nothing and charged me $150. If you need any carb work done, I urge you not to go through this shop. If I hadn't caught this issue, my motor would have likely been done for. That was an extremely shady and unprofessional move on their part. I'm not sure if the manager was aware of the mechanics doing this, but he should have been. They did change two of my tires too, but a monkey could do that. read more

Had a front flat on my KLX and took it in for the repair. I was just going to drop it off but they just knocked it out in ten minutes. I was so happy. Good guys with a great business. Will be back! read more

So I just had some work done on my 06' Heritage Softail at Moto Source. This is my first Harley and I'm pretty particular about things. I had a new chrome/spoke front wheel installed, along with front and back tires mounted and balanced. Rich did the work himself and treated my bike how I would expect a professional mechanic to, not a scratch on it!! Besides the very fair pricing, the work was done in a timely manner and I was able to pick it up early in the day. Bike looks awesome, tires are balanced perfectly and I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend this place no matter what kind of bike you ride if you want quality work and honest pricing. Thanks Moto Source! read more

There's a reason this shop has 5 stars--amazing service! I wound up broken down and waiting on their front porch one morning, and Rich took me in immediately, made the two repairs I needed quickly (and even took me in the back to teach me how to make a few adjustments as I traveled) and got me back on the road in less than two hours--at a very reasonable price. I wish I could find this kind of service in my city! read more

This is an Excellent shop that is very trustworthy. Rich and Jerry have treated me very well with service and I buy a lot of parts here for my Honda. Prices are always competitive and they always take care of me by getting my products fast! They are very honest, friendly, and I will continue to support this great local business with my money. read more

I don't leave many reviews but after several visits to Moto Source I feel compelled to add my two cents. It seems rare today to go to a shop that still focuses on customer service and Jerry was fantastic. I special ordered a helmet which showed up the next day without so much as a deposit because Jerry wanted to make sure that it fit before money exchanged hands. On top of that the price was as low as any internet deal and I got to spend my money locally. I will be going to Moto Source from now on for my motorcycle needs. read more

I have been riding my Yamaha SR185 for 23 years. Every Spring I get it tuned up, tires checked, chain tightened & lubed, oil change & overall check up/make sure it's safe to ride & good to go. This is the worst place I have ever taken my bike. They do not return messages. They did not call me to let me know when it was ready for pick up. The "service" took a month longer than I was told. When I was finally contacted that my bike was ready & went to pick it up, it was in a corner of the shop behind a bunch of others & had a layer of dust on it. The chain was loose & not oiled. There was no oil in the oil tank. I asked if the tire pressure had been checked & the "mechanic" didn't know so he checked it then. And my accelerator was sticking. I was charged $330 for what I'm not sure? Horrible place. read more

This place is my go to spot for all things motorcycle. They've taken great care of me for a long time, and are just a fantastic group of people. Very friendly and willing to do whatever you need at a reasonable price. Brought my wheels/tires down for a balance, and they jumped on it right away and had it done within 20 minutes when I honestly expected them to take a day or so. Check this place out, I doubt you'll be disappointed! read more
