    This is my recovered bike..
    Louis O.

Everything, Rich and his staff have been great. I have an older 1998 bike and he was the one who said he'd work on it, and he has. As long as he's open for business, I'll bring him my bike. Bike was stolen, he helped get it back together, hit and run recently he's back at it.

I have a KTM 890 Rally that needed the suspension resprung for my weight. I asked Rich at Moto Source if would be possible to respring with the shorter 240mm fork spring and shock coil. Stock WP PRO suspension on the 890 Rally is 270mm travel. Rich researched it, contacted WP, and was able to get the custom parts for this. The suspension lowering and re springing came out perfect!!.  I rode about 70 miles off road this past weekend.  High speed choppy dirt road with huge potholes.  At first I was picking lines to avoid, then I changed lines to purposely hit these potholes and woops, the suspension absorbed everything!  Then I had some deep sand woops, ended up only needing to slow down the rear rebound by 2 clicks in.   Doesn't feel like I lost 30mm of travel at all!  Plus now that its sprung proper for my weight, its working better than before with the longer travel and being sprung to light.  Moto Source such a great job on my suspension.

Getting ready for regular maintenance service .

NEVER .. I repeat.. NEVER take a valuable motorcycle to this person for anything!!…read moreI had the most harrowing experience of my life with the owner John.. I wanted a simple inspection of my clutch and a diagnosis. John could not put down his cell phone because his conversation was more important than the customer standing in front of him. After about 30 minutes of standing around he finally acknowledged me and we got my bike up on the rack. I might add .. the shop was more filthy than the underside of my old Jeep. That should have been my clue then .. and I should have run for my life. after fumbling around with the inspection plate, John decided to take my primary cover off.. which he literally threw about three feet across and onto the floor. I was horrified!! I just replaced it last year at a cost of $500. They are cast aluminum and they crack. John spent 99% of the next two hours on his phone, texting his ex. while I had to sit there like a prisoner .. after which he told me that I needed a whole new clutch and that this one was shot.. It would cost about $1,000. this was total BS. I really thought I wouldn't get out of this place with my bike pieces back in the same places that they came from because he was paying more attention to his stupid phone than he was to the job at hand. this guy was recommended by Harley right across the 395 freeway. he actually wanted me to pay him for all the time he spent on the phone.. Including the time he went back into his office for 20 minutes to bullshit with a friend about the woman problem. my time or being a customer did not matter. if I could rate this place - 5 stars I would do it. this man definitely has psychological issues.. my motorcycle is a show bike and is worth $90,000.. and he left it covered in grease in every single place he could touch. I can't tell you how pissed I am at Harley Davidson for sending me there. believe my words.. DO NOT go to this place if you value your motorcycle. I later found out.. I could buy the replacement clutch discs for around $150 from Rivera/Primo and that the basket is ok. this guy wanted to sell me stuff I didn't need at ridiculously high prices. because I am older, he probably considered me a stupid and senile old man and figured that he could stick it to me real good. I have since found a real good shop who treats me fairly and can do the job right the first time and not sell me anything I don't need.

Anderson performs its work with high professional standards and treats customers with exceptional service. We highly recommend Anderson Powersports! For those of you interested, here is the rest of the story: Since his original purchase, my Bob has taken his RZR side-by-side to Anderson for customized upgrades and extra bells and whistles. Just prior to our 2-week departure for a backcountry vacation with family, Bob picked up the RZR from Anderson after they had installed some new wiring and audio upgrades. Even though the RZR worked at Anderson and was unloaded at our home, on the day of our departure, it would not start. Figuring Anderson had failed to properly connect all wiring components, Bob became sooooo irate! The RZR doesn't work, he can't even load it up onto the trailer to bring it back to Anderson AND we are now delayed in meeting our family. When he telephoned the good folks at Anderson, they quickly made arrangements to send two members of the crew to our home (almost 20 miles away!). They arrived with tools plus the plan to physically push the RZR up on the trailer if they couldn't immediately solve the problem. Fortunately, Redmond got in the driver's seat and IMMEDIATELY started up the RZR to a sweet purr. What was the problem??? My husband did not have THE GEAR IN PARK! Bob was beyond embarrassed and couldn't apologize enough for his gruff, accusatory remarks. The guys shook his hand, told us, "We hope your trip goes well," and EVEN REFUSED to take payment for their house call. Who do you know that treats their customers so well? I only know of Anderson Powersports in Reno!

After speaking to the employees who work here, I felt comfortable and confident that my bike would be in good hands. I had picked up a couple of tires that I wanted to put on and asked if they would be able to put them on even if not purchased through them. They said that it was not a problem. When I dropped my bike off, I told Jason that my bike had been making a strange sound from the front end. Jerry said that they would take a look at it and see if they could figure out what it was. When I picked up my bike, they had gone above and beyond not only to put on my tires but also to find the source of the strange noise that had been bugging me. Stan told me that when he looked at my front forks, he found a binding in them that they fixed. My bike is no longer making the noise, and I am very pleased with the outcome and my first experience with Poor Boy Motorcycle Mechanic. I feel that this is an honest shop that does quality work at a reasonable price. Thank you, Jason and Stan, for keeping the dream alive!

Summit Racing - A Masterclass in Inefficiency…read more I walked into Summit Racing expecting a quick visit. What I got was a full-blown endurance test of patience. It started with a door greeter--clearly physically limited, yet insistent on escorting me to the product instead of just pointing. While I appreciate the effort, that move eliminates any chance I might browse for additional items. I grabbed what I came for and realized I needed one more inexpensive part--about $7. I asked an employee where to find it, and instead of helping, she just pointed to a line of 10 people. So I waited. When I got to the register, the guy behind it was slouched in a chair, resting his head on the counter like he was about to nap. He scanned my product and said it was all set. I asked where to pick it up, and he pointed me to another line--this one about 15 people deep. I waited again. Finally, I got to the front, the guy rang up my items, handed me a bag... and my $7 item wasn't in it. When I asked, he pointed to another line to stand in to get it. So back in line I went--for the third time. Fifteen more minutes pass. One poor guy is pulling orders while three others stand at the register chatting and doing absolutely nothing. When the orders come out, mine is clearly one of them--just a small part. The customer in front of me wants to open his boxes, check fitment, color, function, maybe even alignment with the stars. I politely ask if I can just grab my tiny part and go. The staff says, "No. You must wait." So I did--seven more minutes--because policies apparently matter more than people. This entire system is broken. Unnecessarily complicated, painfully slow, and staffed by people who don't seem to care if you ever come back. Spoiler: I won't. Summit Racing, you've lost a customer. And I honestly have no idea how you're still in business with a setup like this.
