11/21/19, more BS from Motion Kia. Long story short....our Kia Sorento has an ENGINE RECALL. The dealer wants us to pay 40 dollars for an oil change so that they can "test" the issue that we have had several times. 2x the engine was completely OUT of OIL after driving 2 or 3 thousand miles. They told my wife to "check the oil every time you go to get gas" until you can bring in for The test. She is driving to Maryland with my 2 teenage boys this weekend. She should not have to worry about the engine blowing up and getting stuck. Motion Kia says this is their policy and how they will deal with the recall. I said, "So, should I just drive it until the engine dies so I could get a new one?" Kia's response, "I cant say that to you but...". Basically, if I kill the engine we get a new one. What about taking the vehicle NOW into service and giving us a loaner car while you look for and fix the issue!!? read more

If Kia says you need to change your oil every 7k and the average automobile owner drives 12k miles per year and Motion offers 3 free oil changes, thats over 1 YEAR of FREE Maint!! If you drive 25 to 30k per year and expect that to be included, thats were confussion occurs. I have been a Motion customer for 5 years and find them not only honest but to have integrity. read more

Salesperson Lorre and Manager Jim from Motion KIA in Mt. Olive, NJ made buying a new car as exciting as it should be. Without question this was the best car buying experience we have ever had. Dealt with Motion since I bought my second Sportage in 2011. Never had a problem. Always get my car back in a timely manner when it goes in for service. Oil service waits take about 45 mins (conservative est) so I just log in to free wifi. For a dealer, their prices are compatible with off site retailers for tires and oil services and the staff are friendly and helpful. read more

As I am reading the reviews from people I am asking myself if I was on another planet, or maybe they were, but Motion Kia was THE best place I have ever had to deal with in buying a car, and at 56 years old, Ive bought many. And dealt with many idiots. But I can assure you, the staff at Motion made me feel at home and comfortable. They got me out of an old car, into a brand new 2016 Kia Rio, for NO money down, and less payments. It was a long process, but my car had 7 miles on it when I drove off the lot. The car had just come off the truck that morning, so instead of just handing it over, they made sure..it was good to go. As far as the person and the running credit checks that is not the dealers fault, YOU gave them permission to get you approved, its not thier fault your credit sucks. Everyone from Motion Kia that we dealt with, while leasing our new Kia Sorento on 8/15/18, were very friendly, caring, knowledgeable and really worked with us to enable us to stay within our budget. I usually do not leave reviews but after reading some of the negative comments about this dealership I felt I needed to because my family and I too had a terrible experience at this dealership a while back. We met with Steve and it started out okay. However, once we started talking about a potential deal he became very argumentative and rude. In addition, when we were approached by his Sales Manager we were spoken to in the same disrespectful manner. I found a very good deal on a car here and called Mike to speak about it. Everything seemed good and I scheduled an appointment for the following afternoon. When I called the next day to let him know I was almost there, his associate informed me that the owners son had taken the car and gone to college but that they had a similar car that I could look at. Classic bait and switch. They did not call back and apologize or accept responsibility. Do yourself a favor and avoid them!! read more

Was given info and pricing for an 07, after driving 2 & 1/2 hours it was an 06, no price change either. The dealer told me the vehicle has recently had been checked out by the dealer mechanic and was in good shape (brakes, shocks, struts, engine, etc). Not even a full 6 months later and my mechanic says back brakes and starter need to be replaced. I only drive on the occasional weekend as I live in NYC, my mechanic says if the dealership had truly checked the vehicle they would have known the brakes and started would need to be replaced. Basically, they told me what they needed to say to get a sale. Thanks a lot! read more

Very disappointing service at this dealer. I won't go into details except to say the Manager ignored my email to him in response to one of those emails dealers send to find out how your visit was. I had to contact Kia Corporate on another matter and decided to tell the woman on the phone what I went through. She contacted the Manager who told her he would call and discuss the experience with me. Needless to say, I never heard from him. So much for customer service. If I could give them a zero star I would. Completely unprofessional and straight up rude and disrespectful workers. My brother had recently got a car from this Kia at a reasonable price so I thought I would go check them out. I went into this Kia with my brother to look around and see if anything caught my eye and a car did except it was priced a bit high which I mentioned and the man assured me he would work with me as the car is "just going on sale this week!", since I had a serious interest in one of their cars they sat me down and spoke prices very eager to sell this car to me I decided to take it slow and go home and discuss the car with my mom before jumping into another loan. I looked over the prices they were talking and realized they had snuck in and extre TEN THOUSAND trying to be sneaky. I called the guy to clarify I was seeing correctly and didn't get a response, so I drove back to speak face to face again calmly I had no attitude what so ever I just wanted to clarify the price so I knew whether to be in or out of the deal. When I went back in I brought my mom with me to co-sign in case I had looked at the numbers incorrectly, I simply asked the salesman about the price again and he got butt hurt and raised his voice and looked like he was about to cry almost when who I believe to be his two managers or people above him came over and all circled around me and my mother yelling in my face "I don't understand why you bothered coming back here if you don't want to spend that money" and smiled at them and said "okay thank you so much have a nice day" when the money hungry salesman replied "well we have more cars!" Yeah no thank you buddy, I don't care if you were willing to sell me a car for one dollar at that point I'm not putting any of my money in your crooked ass pockets! After this experience I had learned that my brother was sold a car with a completely messed up underneath of his car and they refused to fix the damages they sold the car to him with, my brother had to spend a good four grand himself to fix the damages. Baught a 2016 sorento from this dealership, 25k put 10k down didnt have a second key turn to find out After me constantly calling back and forth trying to find info about it. Turn to find out the sales rep I dealt with originally doesnt work there anymore and theres no second key and the dealership wouldnt help me obtain one pretty much SOL. This was only a couple days after I took the vehicle home. Not even 10 days after I had the vehicle the sunroof wouldnt close after first time I used it. Took it back they charged me $50 to lube it back up. After I baught out the extended warranty. Which I have yet to get information on in the mail. It's been now a month I do not even have my plates or registration for this vehicle. Everytime I've called dealt with multiple different people and no one could give me a straight answer for any of my questions was told someone will call you back. Worst service I've received buying a vehicle at a dealer. Not expecting for them to bend over backwards but if someone puts down a significant amount down help them out at least. read more

I had a very good experience with this dealership. I advised them on the vehicle I wanted, features and colors. While they did not readily have the color I wanted but they presented me with the model I wanted with all the features and at the end of the day, a better color. Vinnie our salesman was very attentive and while we closed the dealership that night he did not leave until he covered an overview on all the features. We went into Motion Kia and had a great experience. We found the car we wanted on the lot we worked out a number, they even gave us a decent amount for my old car which needed a lot of work. We spent time with Nick and he was awesome. He showed us all about the car and went through the manual and he set up out phones for us on the nav system. They even fill the tank for you. The other great thing I found out is that they work on all types of cars there not just Kias so ill be taking my other car there too. Thanks for a great experience. read more

I was really upset today, and didn't know how to handle it in person. I went in for a routine oil change, and they charged me over $200. I wasn't aware that they were doing all of these things to my car, like replacing all these filters and inspections without asking. I was too embarrassed to say that I couldn't afford it. I really wish I would have said something, but this being my first brand new car, I wasn't sure if it was routine at the 15,000 mile mark and didn't want to look like an idiot. I wish they would have told me everything before hand, and I'm seriously contemplating not going back, even if that means no free tires for the life of the car... read more

Let me begin by saying that I read the reviews on here before contacting the dealer by phone and I was skeptical to say the least. I had already negotiated a great price and put a down payment on a car at another dealer but Motion had 1 of only 2 cars in the tri state that was the color, trim and package I wanted. So 60 miles away and countless closer dealers to my house I picked up the phone on a Tuesday morning. Jeff Sanchez answered. Pleasant, knowledgeable and willing to negotiate over the phone. Within a few phone calls to confirm the car was still available and a quick price negotiation, we had a verbal agreement that we would speak again on Thursday as Jeff had Wednesday off. Thursday morning we began talking again. I spoke to Jeff and Orlando. Orlando was also a class act. Jeff then arranged to have one of the service guys drive to my house to pick me up. Rich the driver was great. I got to the dealer and the car was right up front. Went in and introduced myself to Jeff and then Kevin the finance guy. He was also a pleasure to deal with. What can I say, a little over 48 hours and the car was in my driveway. Great experience overall. I can't speak for anyone else's experience but mine was fantastic. Some serious bad business happening here . Sales rep Juliann is not to be trusted he will lie and make false promises that the dealership will not honor. I bought a car from them in December and have had problems since 2 days after purchase. They say drop off the car yet when I did drop car off to get check engine light looked at my car was exactly where I parked it the day earlier . Instead of using the problem they just unplug batterie instead of doing proper work. Second the sales rep lied about registration, tax and tittle . The worse things about it was the fact all I needed was a transfer plates simple $88. Fee . Instead Juliann did what he wanted and requested new plates and registration had the nerve to say I need to pay $366.00 for new tags . Rather than apologizing he said its my problem . Jim the manager than attempted to interven yet he is full of it himself. He will cover the companies ass as needed. I had to spend 3 hrs on a Friday afternoon in dmv to fix there screw up and not even an apology. In purchase this vehicle on dec 18 and to date can not get it passed inspection Alonso $2,000 later. In addition they documented service work done on the vehicle. However when I took my vehicle to another dealer none of the service documented was ever done all. Lie lies lies not sure if I would do business here on currently 1 of 6 consumer complaints on motion kia and they are settling our claims that's says a lot . Personally they will shake your hand smile lie to youth face . Beware this dealership is falling apart the owner Bennie needs to revise his whole set up but I find it hard to believe he has no idea what's going on in either of his business.one last thing legally your credit is only supose to be run 3 times for best interest rate. Since purchase of vehicle, my treatment has been reprehensible. My temp plates expired on the 19th. The first excuse for the delay was "processing delays due to Sandy". Then I received a call from Kia stating the dealership was awaiting a letter from me verifying that my name change was as a result of marriage. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? For Kia to allow a dealership to play pathetic games is ridiculous. I could understand your need for a marriage certificate- IF THERE WAS A DISCLOSURE AT PURCHASE that required a signature, but there was not. Instead I was incessantly harassed, even after providing TWO STATE OF PENNSYLVANIA DRIVERS LICENSES, one in my old name, one in my new name. Legal documents provided by government- proof of change had to be given in order to receive. But, no, Kia, would not take my calls. Fast forward now, you have my copies of state licenses, you have my letter attesting to my name change, and I still do not have a license plate nor a registration.
