I want to warn others about what appears to be a scam. I was charged $447.83 for a single fuel fill-up for my RAV4 -- a service that should have cost between $32-$39, as it always does at Shell or any other legitimate station. This outrageous charge is not a mistake -- I contacted the business directly, and instead of offering a refund or any explanation, they simply referred me to my bank, washing their hands of responsibility. Called at 830am Tow truck dropped it at 930 They had my starter done and everything running great by 430. The starter was a difficult job requiring the entire manifold of the engine to be removed. My best friend and his family, as well his fiancee and her family only use these guys. They really helped me out when I needed them most, and they did it cheaper than anyone for miles. We only have 1 car. last time we dropped car off, we didn't have the money to fix it right away. It sat there until we got paid on thursday. Friday early morning rolls around, I call to tell them to fix the car, no problem. Saturday comes, I call, hasn't even been worked on. I tell them, okay, I guess, while you're doing the breaks, do an estimate on how much it would be to fix the muffler. I call again Saturday afternoon b/c they said it would be done and they would call me - THEY DIDN'T WORK ON IT AT ALL. Sunday they're closed; I call Monday morning, oh sorry, it hasn't been worked on. Fine, my husband gets home from work at 230, we need it by then, need to return MIL's car. Get there, THEY DIDN'T DO THE ESTIMATE ON THE MUFFLER!!! This happened the last time I dropped the car off, in winter, me pregnant. All day it took to fix the car. Today, I call to get oil changed and car inspected. sorry, can't do oil change but I can inspect the car. Going to Lube + down the road to get the oil changed. They're such an inconvience...dislike the place very much!!!! read more

We have one car, it stopped on my way so this was the nearest garage I dropped. The person was very optimistic and promised to deliver within 2 days. Today is eighteenth day he has not fixed, has to be towed to another shop. He is blackmailing me that he will charge me for the work $500.00 otherwise he will not let me take my car. I've been going here for 10 years and have an Exxon credit card. The owner, Jacob and his wife are always very friendly and treat me like a friend. They know me by first name and gave my kids lollipops when they were small. Jack, the mechanic, always takes good care of my car. I've had everything from oil changes to brakes to electrical work and new tires. They always give a fair price and will be competitive when needed. They usually have coupons too on ValPack.com. BEWARE! I'm leaving a one star rating only because there's no option to leave a zero star rating. I called this place and spoke to someone named Jack who repeatedly quoted me a labor cost of $250 to replace BOTH rear wheel bearings (I already had the parts in hand). Like most people, I often question the integrity of auto repair mechanics, so I was certain to be crystal clear in informing him that BOTH the passenger AND driver side rear wheel bearings needed replacing, to which he confirmed a labor quote of $250. Long story short, after I had already dropped off my car, Jack notified me that the labor cost of $250.00 was only for the replacement of one wheel bearing, not BOTH. When I stated that he repeatedly quoted me a price of $250, he denied ever making that statement. As I was paying my bill, I expressed my concern over the price I was quoted versus what I was actually charged. Jack immediately got defensive, lost his temper and THREATENED me. He claimed that I didn't know who I was dealing with and that he would get me if he ever saw me outside of his place of business. I indicated that I don't appreciate being threatened, after which, his co-workers intervened and forcefully lead him out of the room. I paid the bill, and while walking to retrieve my car, Jack threatened me once again. To top it all off, there was an immediate issue with the Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) System upon leaving this shop which was never a problem before this shop worked on my car. STAY AWAY! read more
