I discovered Trisha back when my daughter was in 7th grade. She had a small break in her back in 4th grade and since then had experienced relentless back pain due to intermittent seizures of her muscles. We had tried doctors (prescribed pain killers and muscle relaxants), physical therapy and many rounds of chiropractic. When my daughter called one day from school sobbing due to pain, I went on line and started researching acupuncture. I knew very little about it having never tried it and being something of a needle phobic. But I remember thinking that if I could just stick something in those muscles to make them release, it might help the pain. The reviews for Trisha even back then, now five years ago, were compelling. So I called, booked an immediate appointment, picked my daughter up and told her...to trust me! The rest is history. I sat and watched as Trisha gently worked with a somewhat anxious young lady. Fascinating. When the session was over, my daughter stood up and I could see and feel an instant difference. She was standing taller and her color had returned. I asked her how she felt and I recall her words were something like: "Mom, this is the first time I haven't felt pain in forever!" I then asked Trisha how many times we would need to come back (having used chiropractors...) and she said that this would do it, and the pain shouldn't return, although we could come back if we wanted. I was both stunned to hear that, but also doubtful she was right. Well, she was. That one visit represented a turning point for my daughter. She was able to return to sports and leave the pain behind. I have since used Trisha for my own back pain and referred many people to her. More importantly, she came back into our lives this year after my daughter, now a senior in high school, was in a car wreck and suffered not only a severe whiplash and migraine headaches, but also a very serious concussion, causing her to mix six weeks of school. Trisha was an integral part of a team of specialists who worked to loosen her neck/back muscles in a way that not only directly reduced the symptoms of whiplash but more importantly went at the source of the migraines that were so debilitating. I cannot say enough about how she has impacted not only my daughter, but also me as a mother. She is clinically trained, but I have always believed she also has that rare gift of healing. She combines her trained skills with a instinctive sense of what is needed, and applies her trade in a careful and caring manner. Thank you Trisha for all you have done for us. I am so glad I found you years ago! read more
