My reviews follow the Yelp sequence of review...Food, service and ambiance. However our server Naha is 100% trash. The manager should be ashamed to let someone out on the floor like this and it is a disservice to what this restaurant is trying achieve. Please remove Maha from the floor and have her trained properly. You do not drop drinks, food, soups and other ordered items on the table. You put them down. In addition, she did not check on us until we were 2/3rds of the way done with our meal. If you look at my account I have dined in hundreds of places like this and not once did she check in early after the 1st round of meats were put on the grill to check if we needed a grill change or check on our status. Lastly, there are 5 people dining how hard was it for her to hand the drinks or put the drinks down close to the owner?!?! Why was she leaving it all on one end to pass down from the direction she came!?!? There was more than enough room to hand drinks to the person who order the drink; but again Maha just wanted to deliver poor experience. She may want to dine out so she learns some service skills. To top it off, once she probably realized she pooped the service portion she tells us at the END that there was a gratuity charge for 5 people. Who the fuck does this?!?! These gratuity stipulations are usually mentioned up front and not the end. So I am not sure if this was added to make up for inept and poor service. Plus gratuity inclusion such as this is usually for groups of 6 or more...My cousin who is also an Elite Yelper realized that this was going south but I saw it early on when she only had 3 tables and focused all her attention on the other two tables, then when it started to fill up I saw her do a grill change on a table within 30 minutes. But the food, beverages, refill droppings was just ridiculous and stupid on her part. Absolutely pure shit service and as a PSA to the manger, Maha made the dining experience pure garbage. Not good at all. I'll remove Maha's poor service from the food review. The food was ok. The meats (beef and pork) were tasteless or had a sour taste (quality). The fish was ok but I did not have any to comment but would have been better if Maha had offered a grill change to prevent sticking (yes, we could have asked but the food was just ok and did not order another round of fish). Surprisingly, the shrimp and mussels we ordered were good. Catastrophically, the Kim chi was apparently home made but was sour and pungent. However the dumplings, fried shrimp, scallops and xu mai were good. Just mediocre is how I would describe the food. Any of the places I took my two aunts recently, would blow this place away easily and offered a better dining and service experience. So if you are looking yum food, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE. Ambiance is a shining point. Really nice and ornamented. Just right, not too flashy but not plain. Seating was spot on with good spacing between tables. Lighting was also perfect, not cave dark but not blinding. Sadly, poor service from Maha and mediocre food doomed this experience. My aunts have seen me dine and the great rapport or quality experience I have with our servers and meals so I was really disappointed by my experience at Mosu. I could not recommend this place at all, I rarely hand out 1's but Maha and ok food just allowed them to garner one.

I really appreciate Mosu for never hassling me about dining alone. Yes, it's a little silly to go to Asian barbecue alone, but I do regularly! Other places sometimes give you a hard time about taking up a whole grill, but at Mosu, I've always felt welcome. On to the food: I am trying to figure out the smashed cucumber salad marinade, because I love it. The meats are usually well marinated and well cut. There are not as many choices as some other places, but I don't need too many! I like the modern decor, and the tables are spaced so you don't feel on top of the table next to you. Better than other Asian BBQ places I've been, they're quick to replace the grill when needed and clear the empty plates. This is one of my go-to locations when I'm in Albany--someday, I should dine with someone else!

For many years we occasionally visited many times, noticeably getting worse. They took down many nice ingredients, left bunch mid or cheap ones. For now I can definitely say not worth going.

We were a group of 7, including 2 children. We made reservations as suggested and were seated promptly. You have to decide if you want hotpot or Asian BBQ as the tables are different, with different types of cookers at the tables. We decided to get the BBQ and shown how to use the iPads for ordering food, depending on whether you wanted lunch, dinner or all you can eat. We ordered various items and cooked them using metal tongs on each end of the table. Veggies, including mushrooms, all sorts of meats and seafood are brought uncooked to the table in small dishes and you grill them until they're done. You can also get items such as kimchi that are already prepared. The dining area is very modern yet cozy, with comfortable chairs. Definitely worth returning for more great dining!

Solid Kbbq AYCE option in the area. 55 is a bit steep but it's one of the only places in the area with kbbq. There's a good spread of meat cuts available and premade appetizers. Soft drinks and dessert (a variety of ice cream, smores, and creme brulee) are also included. There's a 2hr maximum per table which is more than enough time. They also offer an a la carte menu and a hotpot option as well. Been to Mosu often and the service is always great, servers are attentative and kind. The restaurant is a bit more sophisticated ambiance wise. It's dim light so it could be used for a special occassion but plenty of people use it as a casual joint as well.

So fun! You order your food, you cook your food. So many delicious choices! This was my first time here and what a great experience. We did make reservations. We ordered appetizers that come already cooked and then our menu choices of steak and salmon and vegetables. Delicious and you cook it the way you like it!

4.5 stars. Found a nice Korean AYCE In Albany. Open fire so no smoke from the grill and they change it regularly. The exhaust goes through the side of the fire so nothing hanging over head and you won't be smoked out. Portions are small so if you order from the tablet, make note it's a serving for 1 person. Some meats were seasoned well and we loved the lamb chops. Now that's a big plus, never had that in a Korean BBQ. I took off half a point coz the banchans were not that great, it could be better. Their dipping sauces are different so I had to ask for sesame oil and salt. Unfortunately they don't have crystal salts so I had to mix the oil with table salt. You can also do soup at this place along with the BBQ, aka K-pot. As you can see the place is clean and beautiful. Would definitely go back here again with my coarse salt

Second time here... and WOW it was better than the first time which we can't believe because the first visit was AMAZING! So you can count on consistency at those restaurant for quality, service and delicious food and drinks! We live a couple hours away and made it so our relaxing getaway included an early dinner at MOSU! Made reservations for 1:30pm and were a little early they could seat us and our hostess and server were top notch! Fast amazing service and again our server was so friendly funny and awesome! Drinks from the bar delicious!! I don't understand why anyone would go elsewhere! Clean fun restaurant and how other restaurants should be run!

I was at Mosu for a birthday dinner hot pot celebration and reservations were easily made online on their website. If you are anything like me, you will appreciate how user friendly their website is and it will give you a glimpse of what is on their menu. Options are endless as they also have Asian barbecue as well which I equate to a do it yourself hibachi. An important thing to note is that if you are there for lunch you have the option to order from either their all you can eat lunch menu, their more expansive dinner menu (also all you can eat) or from their a la carte menu. I think this is really great, especially for those who are looking to try something new but are not big eaters and want to keep within their budget. The ambiance is modern and clean with a really fun vibe. You can tell that the place is kept immaculate and everything served is brought to you fresh and with attention to detail. There's an iPad at the table where you simply select your drinks, and appetizers as well as your entree choices. The staff is friendly and very attentive and will patiently explain everything to you. I really enjoyed all the options available and included in the per person cost. You also have choices to add on many many more extras and skies the limit! During this visit we chose two hot pot soup options, bone broth as well as miso soup. It most certainly did not disappoint and the broths were delicious! We had a good amount of proteins and seafood along with lots of different vegetables as well as noodles. I assure you that there is most definitely something for everyone no matter the craving. I highly recommend Mosu as a must try!

I'll admit to having kind of written it off for a long time due to the weird menu/concept (it's hard to trust that a restaurant is going to serve you a burger, some empanadas and a plate of pad Thai and execute any or all of them competently), but the good people at Fusion are serving food that's truly, honestly about three times better than it needs to be (caveat: we've stuck to the more Asian sections of the menu, so I won't make any bold claims about the burgers). The Chinese portion of our family unit said that my drunken noodles reminded him of the stuff that a street vendor sold outside of his middle school, which like, IYKYK (if you don't know, this is about the highest praise a plate of noodles can get). I'm not normally a major pad Thai enthusiast, but the version here was well-balanced and flavorful, not just kind of sweet and gloppy like a lot of local versions, and the broth for the chicken noodle soup is also truly random-SE Asian-street-cart level flavorful. If that wasn't enough to sell you on this place, the draft Sapporo is five bucks. In conclusion: please come here support these nice folks so they can continue to make above-par food for many years to come.

It quickly became clear that the guy taking our order was the only one working. He got to work making the meals for six people. While he was cooking away, another large group of at least seven people arrived and sat themselves. You'd never know there was one guy doing everything all alone because the food was beautifully presented, all dishes were served together and man was it delicious! Everyone was very happy with their meals and we all got a variety of dishes. This is clearly a small business and definitely worth checking out. No negotiations. Just joy. Fifteen minutes later, box in hand, the real event began. Across melting ice. A sharp jaywalk. A cut through the gas station. A full sprint toward the train station as the gates threatened to close and my family waited. It was an unofficial, record-breaking mile fueled entirely by fried rice ambition. Once the cold air finally left my lungs, I cracked open the box. Steam rose into the winter air. The smell alone was victory. I ate every last grain on that train, a triumphant feast earned the hard way. My wife was not impressed with how close I cut it. I, however, stand by the decision. Some meals are worth the sprint.

A tea leaf salad or Lat phat thoat has "Crispy pea, peanut, sesame seed and garlic oil with ground pickle tea leaf, cabbage and tomato." It was a little funky, a bit like kimchi, with a wonderful textural crunch provided by the peanuts. Palata (deep fried layered & flattened dough), commonly served at street food stalls, is reminiscent of scallion pancakes (without the scallion). In this case, it was served with a chicken, potato, and dahl stew. The saltiness of the stew was tamed by the layered and fatty dough. I might skip the chicken dumplings because those were boiled from frozen, store bought items. The pandan dessert, similar to a bubble tea, was an added extra. I'd definitely go again.

The evening was flowing of sake, caviar bumps and delicious bites. The first bite of the tempura nori, uni and caviar sent me out of the galaxy. All our eyes rolled back in unison when we tasted that delightful bite and we knew it was just the beginning. The A5 Wagyu tartar was so good I nearly had a tear fall from my face. My taste buds were on a roller coaster with the luxurious fat and umami flavors dancing on my tongue. The fried yellow tail and young yellowtail collars were so rich and unctuous. We didn't even know what to do when the sushi boat arrived. Some pieces were adorned with the caviar, prized toro and Wagyu nigiri. The rolls were indulgent. All served with FRESH grated wasabi, which is how you know you got it good, no dry horseradish paste to be found for this meal. We had a coupon in a book that was mailed to us, otherwise I never would have known this place existed. It took over a failed Subway restaurant (which was right around the corner from Mr. Subb), and I was surprised an Asian takeout place moved in because right around the corner (next to the Mr. Subb) was another Chinese take out place. Sure, this place has dine-in options. And it claims to be Asian Fusion. Anyway, we both ordered the same dish: General Tsos chicken. I had brown rice, and my wife had fried rice. The softspoken guy who answered the phone was friendly and told us our order would be ready in 10-15 minutes. For a Sunday night, they must have been slow. I got there with time to spare and watched him cook our food. The dining room is cute, though I would guess the fixtures were used as some were already torn and worn down. The chef's bar had nice blue lighting and features, and there was some fish out in the cooler wrapped up in plastic. I don't eat sushi so I cannot comment on whether this is the way sushi bars are, but it seemed interesting. Our food was served in Japanese style take-out containers. There were five individual compartments filled with the chicken/broccoli, the rice, the spring roll (or egg roll, depending on interpretation), some duck sauce, and packets of soy sauce. It traveled a lot better than those white cardboard boxes or round plastic containers. However, as my wife noted, they cost more too. I saved my containers to use for other projects. The food was step above regular takeout fare. I can't say if the recipes were better, if it were fresher, or if the travel containers helped it fare better. There was less sauce on it, which likely helped. Both rice types used Japanese short grain, which was fine by me but not what you normally get with Chinese takeout. Also, it wasn't spicy at all. And the portions were smaller than most, yet the prices were much higher than most. Two combo meals were $34.00 before tip. I know of places to go for really cheap, bad Chinese food (buffets), and places to go for really expensive, high-quality Chinese food. As for take-out, though, the lines blur a bit. I want to like this place, but I love the restaurant around the corner. I don't see how both can succeed. Since it is primarily a sushi restaurant, perhaps that is the niche they should focus on.

The udon noodles with the veggies and chicken and shrimp went well together. I can't wait to try another combination next time, cream pasta with tofu, shrimp, baby corn cucumbers and red peppers, lol

I was in a rush the other day and saw this place in crossgates and decided to try it out. I asked…read morethe guy who is working just to give me whatever his favorite is. Still ask me some questions like how spicy I want it and what not which was good because I went with mild. It was piping hot which was great. I was bringing it home. I had to give my son a bath and some time it passed before I got to sit down and open it and it was still steaming hot. It smelled SO good. It was so amazing. My kids gathered around me asking me what I was eating. I wouldn't even let them taste it because I selfishly wanted it all to myself. It tasted so fresh and I mean it was I saw the ingredients. The guy working was quiet but very nice. It's all I've been thinking about. I just want to go order everything off of the menu and try it all. This is a little hidden gem. It's funny how an upstate New York. Some of the best food I've had in a long time was in a mall food court. Can't get a dish like this at a restaurant. Gotta love Albany! Go support this place. You will be so satisfied. I'm one of the best parts about it was. It was a really really decent sized portion. A normal human would have had leftovers but I tend to overeat lol It's like $12, which nowadays is a pretty typical price point for a meal. After eating the whole thing I still felt great because it was so light and the ingredients were so fresh.
