They dug from back downspot to street, laid new piping, added stone by street and backfilled the dirt. Excellent. The cement side was a different issue. I dealt with Ed R. The cement work is subed. When the crew came to dig up the sidewalk I saw on ring camera that they did not remove one of the contracted pads (they were supposed to do 4 pads but only did 3). I contacted Ed R. while they were still at my house. Later that day the three pads were cemented in. That part of sidewalk was well done (even if not all pads were done). A month later a new crew came to dig up the fourth pad, they did mine and the neighbors. Horrible job. They stomped all over my new grass, The new pad near my other ones was too high so they leveled it down the last three inches but you can notice that it's not level, the pads by the grass are sloped down (maybe they didn't pour enough cement), not very smooth surface, and when they cleaned up they did it by my decorative curb (leaving stains on it). Communicaton with Ed R. was lacking.

The plumber that was sent was professional, knowledgeable, and able to fix the problems. He even took the initiative to clean an unrelated really gross surface clog I had been meaning to tackle on my own out. The bad: I called the company twice to confirm my appointment time as it involved shutting off water to multiple dwellings. Despite this they sent the plumber out more than an hour early to the job site with no warning phone call and I had to have him sit in the truck and wait. I had just woken up and could not turn off water to the other households ahead of the notice that had been given. Charge on the first job was within the realm of reason. Charge for the second bathroom repair though was extremely excessive given that it turned out to be minor and only took him less than 10 minutes and what seemed to be a few dollars of materials to fix. Verdict: If I have an emergency repair or need work on a night/weekend I may use them again. However if the work is minor or planned I would shop around and find a handyman who is more flexible with pricing.

Before I called Jeffrey Plumbing I did a lot of research on what my plumbing issue actually was. I…read morecalled the Town of Amherst Sewer Dept and had them put a camera down the main line and see if they could see what the problem was where my tap came into the main line. It ended up being there was major tree roots imbedded in the clay sewer lines that were originally used when my house was built. Why they would use clay pipes back then is beyond me...they are easily breakable, porous, and almost anything can infiltrate through the joints or breaks in these pipes like tree roots! Thank goodness PVC is used now. Needless to say I got a few estimates and ended up going with Jeffrey Plumbing to do the entire sewer line replacement from the house to the main line which is near the street. They came over and gave me a thorough explanation of what needed to be done in great detail, they inserted a camera in my line to show me the roots and cracks (basically there was a pen diameter size space of flow that's how many roots were in there), and answered all of my questions (and I ask alot of questions lol). I was highly impressed by the professionalism and honesty of Jeffrey Plumbing from the start. The job was then performed and it was completed in one day! They did a fantastic job! This is a family business and Jeffrey and his sons perform all the work.
