We were very happy for the quick response on a Sunday. An hour after we initially called about our…read moreclogged main drain a technician was at our house. So that alone was nice and appreciated. The Technician pulled in our driveway like a mad man, almost hitting my wife's car. He was nice and was professional though. He diagnosed our issue and we agreed to run a snake through our main drain. The work would be GUARANTEED for 6 months. So he runs the snake and a few minutes later says he's done and we are all set. He never checked our utility sink that was sewage backing up in. It still was clogged. He just told me to take a plunger and use it in the sink and it should go down and basically just left the mess in the sink. He told us someone would come to do a camera inspection in the next few day but would call us first. An hour later a "supervisor" randomly shows up and basically tells us they cannot GUARANTEE their work for 6 months because there is signs of tree roots (which I hear is pretty common) and he was going to work up a proposal to have our trap replaced that would be in the $8-10,000 range. Now mind you we had our main drain snaked approx 3-4 years ago and haven't had any issues since. My wife was livid and called out the supervisor for basically just coming out to do this Video Inspection just so they didn't have to honor their great 6 Month GUARANTEE. I've heard some negative things along the same lines about Roto-Rooter before but got to experience it first hand. Again I guess I'm happy they came out on a Sunday and unclogged our drain for us but wasn't very impressed.

Before I called Jeffrey Plumbing I did a lot of research on what my plumbing issue actually was. I…read morecalled the Town of Amherst Sewer Dept and had them put a camera down the main line and see if they could see what the problem was where my tap came into the main line. It ended up being there was major tree roots imbedded in the clay sewer lines that were originally used when my house was built. Why they would use clay pipes back then is beyond me...they are easily breakable, porous, and almost anything can infiltrate through the joints or breaks in these pipes like tree roots! Thank goodness PVC is used now. Needless to say I got a few estimates and ended up going with Jeffrey Plumbing to do the entire sewer line replacement from the house to the main line which is near the street. They came over and gave me a thorough explanation of what needed to be done in great detail, they inserted a camera in my line to show me the roots and cracks (basically there was a pen diameter size space of flow that's how many roots were in there), and answered all of my questions (and I ask alot of questions lol). I was highly impressed by the professionalism and honesty of Jeffrey Plumbing from the start. The job was then performed and it was completed in one day! They did a fantastic job! This is a family business and Jeffrey and his sons perform all the work. It's extremely hard to find honest, hardworking, knowledgeable, skilled, competent and straight forward tradesmen these days...I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Jeffrey Plumbing!

They had to replace a few parts and part of doing so meant they had to go around to every baseboard and let air out. They were able to find a new board on Thursday morning and installed it at 10AM. We can not say enough about the level of service as well as knowledge of the unit.
