My wife and I tried whatever we could do to unclog it, and just couldn't figure out why. We ended up calling around and trying to get general estimates. Depending on the task at hand, Bruce gave us the most reasonable quote and we decided to go with him. He was very responsive online and available the same day. Some of the plumbers had given us dates that were well into the following week, and almost twice the price. When Bruce arrived, he made sure he kept the work area clean, worked on our sink, and after we found out that the job needed was worse than we had initially thought, he encouraged me to look around in case I didn't want to go with him. The new project included sawing off the existing galvanized pipe to the laundry sink, which was severely clogged with corrosion and sediments, and having it replaced with PVC pipe she is replacement. We decided to go with him for the new job and he completed it quickly, with quality products, and at a very reasonable rate. We were in no shape to go to a hotel. I called Roto Rooter July 2nd and they were out within 3 hours. They did their best but could not open it up. They came back the next morning with the heavy equipment and made a temp repair so we were good to go for the holiday weekend. They came back after the holiday and made a permanent repair. Plumbing gets a 5, cement work 3…read more For the plumbing service I dealt with Ed P. and the work was done by Leo and Joe, who did the complete job in a day. They dug from back downspot to street, laid new piping, added stone by street and backfilled the dirt. Excellent. The cement side was a different issue. I dealt with Ed R. The cement work is subed. When the crew came to dig up the sidewalk I saw on ring camera that they did not remove one of the contracted pads (they were supposed to do 4 pads but only did 3). I contacted Ed R. while they were still at my house. Later that day the three pads were cemented in. That part of sidewalk was well done (even if not all pads were done). A month later a new crew came to dig up the fourth pad, they did mine and the neighbors. Horrible job. They stomped all over my new grass, The new pad near my other ones was too high so they leveled it down the last three inches but you can notice that it's not level, the pads by the grass are sloped down (maybe they didn't pour enough cement), not very smooth surface, and when they cleaned up they did it by my decorative curb (leaving stains on it). Communicaton with Ed R. was lacking.

Update: After seeing my review, Alexis (Customer Service Manager) called me the following day to…read moreapologize and get more info about my experience. She agreed that this repair should have been done that same day, at no cost. She took full responsibility for the lack of action with this issue, and issued a full reimbursement for what I paid to have another company service my furnace. I'd give Alexis a 5* rating for her response, but because this never should have happened in the first place I will leave it at 3*s.

Now it's all pricey TV and social media adverts and you know who's paying for that - the customer via even more expensive Z&R services and unscrupulous upselling techniques. Their communications with customers are abysmal as evidenced by their lame notifications about upcoming service that do not mention date, location or type of service. Their "PPP" plan means "Pitifully Poor Performance". If you are a member of this semi-scam, you do NOT get priority service. You get a small discount on an already overpriced service visit. I had an HVAC device that required a tune up and the Z&R quoted me a "discounted" "PPP" price that was $150 more than a well-regarded competitor. Then the "upsell" starts. If you have the PPP plan, that's the Z&R "in" to let the assigned "repair" tech who is really a poorly trained and unscrupulous sales rep in a service uniform explain all the horrible but non-existent problems you have that require immediate attention. This is a particularly large issue for female customers who Z&R likes to upsell figuring they don't know much about HVAC. Z&R do not discriminate, and are happy to exploit both female and male customers. That happened to my brother. His wife was home for the simple annual "PPP" furnace and AC service and the "tech" said there were 4 expensive HVAC issues they required almost $1,000 to "repair". On further inspection by my auto repair shop owner brother with 40 years' experience in his field, he quickly determined all the "repairs" were all figments of Z&R's imagination. My brother fired Z&R based on this event, but it was the culmination of malfeasance by Z&R over time that made my brothers decision simple. I fired Z&R months ago just after my brother did the same because I trust my brother's opinion over a company that has proven time and again that they cannot be trusted. Don't believe all the 4.9/5 ratings. The Yelp ratings seen here are FAR more accurate and Z&R can't manipulate these opinions. A quick Google search reveals that Z&R "scrubs" their website reviews based customer ratings, dumps the low-end ones and hypes the good reviews. Z&R is a house of mirrors; management doesn't care, the service managers come and go and the owners are invisible to even the most egregious tech, scheduling and customer abuse issues. Stay away from Z&R. PS - Too late for "do overs" by the owner of Z&R. This is my final response on this topic. I've made my issues clear to Z&R over the years and their responses have been zero. Empty promises of all manner of "fixes" that never occurred and not one word from this owner EVER until this review. Now that a real-world review on a site Z&R can't manipulate appears from a long-suffering customer hits the airwaves and the owner magically appears to cure the situation. You're fired forever. Don't blame me for this review. You are the genesis for these comments. It was YOUR companies constant lack of responses to my well documented service/scheduling/communication issues over more than a decade have incinerated this relationship. You have no one to blame but YOU.
