Did a terrible job on my downstairs toilet , didn't set good , shaking and leaked downstairs to my basement . came back still did not correct problem 2 weeks later , the plumber actually told me he had limited training. finally owner came and finally corrected problem close to two weeks later. My upstairs bathroom, they were supposed to fix a simple problem that had my toilet leaking when flushed , they couldn't even do that correctly, I will never recommend ADVANCED SEWER.... That was backed up all the way to the street, and he came quoted me. A price took care of it, but in the interim, while he was working on that, his machine broke Something happened in 15 minutes. He had a new machine delivered. Finish the job asked if anything else he could help me with and he was exhausted. It was such a pleasure to have him. He respected my home, you respected me. I had a clog and needed it snaked, well not only did they flood my kitchen floor by not putting a bucket under the sink before taking off the clogged pipe, they made a hole in the pipe in the basement, told me it will be $1200 to fix pipe to get me up and running. which he couldn't do till next week because "he won't be around" till then, but that I can "just put electrical tape on the hole for now" The one guy also refused to work on the toilet (my purpose for the visit as well) because he claimed that my "toilet was hooked up illegally" he said it drained into my yard! What???? It goes through a macerator grinder and then drains into the pipe and into the main sewer. The main guy ( 2 guys were here) said my clog was cleared, but I still needed new pipes, wrong still have clog and now broken leaking pipe. When I called the office to discuss my bill and service, I was told by Nate the office manager that the master plumber/owner Tony will come back and evaluate the situation either that day or the next depending on his schedule. Then I received a phone call from a third party as I had called the original plumber who referred them to me and told him what happened. (He reached out to the owner ) and he told me to find another plumber as Tony will not be coming out. I don't know what CLOWNS they have working there, but that has to be the worst service I have ever had. read more

I had a backed up main sewer line. I called Advanced to come snake it clear for me. They sent a guy out who said he couldn't find the clean out and didn't have his metal detector. He augered the toilet and left. Obviously it backed up again. They came back out and a different guy tried to snake the line from the bathroom sink with a skinny snake. It obviously didn't do anything against the problem. I showed him where the clean out was in the basement and he said it was inaccessible. So I had two visits costing $400 and nothing had been done and the house was still all backed up! I called T-Mark and they came over. I showed the plumber the clean out that Advanced claimed was inaccessible. He looked at me funny. He brought in his heavy duty sewer snake and had the job done in fifteen minutes! No problems after that! Advanced charged me twice and left me with backed up drains and toilets...and $400 lighter. Be careful, call someone who cares and doesn't leave you in the same condition they came into. read more

Advanced used to be phenomenal and after the son took over it is a disaster. We had multiple issues with them over the years but stayed true bc they really used to be great. We offered to have the son take part in our bathroom remodel he agreed but was less than easy to work with to find us fixtures he recommended to us, so I went and got my own high end, like he suggested, fixtures. The remodeling team ended up ending their previous gig a week+ early so our job got pulled up. Unbeknownst to us the son and owner was on vacation that week but the job had already begun. We tired to contact him multiple times and no return calls even after the vacation. We asked him to come install the fixtures and when he came it was 1000% clear he was A. Drunk and B. Did not know how to install these fixtures. He shrugged his shoulders at us and left us without finishing the job and leaving us with no water. He knew our son had just been released from the hospital after a 10 day stay and just left us SOL. His office staff is inept at all they do and he is clearly unfit to be owning and running this business albeit into the ground. read more

Few months later in August, my utility sinks were backing up again. Found out that the previous company never cut through roots growing through sewer line between house and sewer. We recently used Advanced to install some new fixtures we got as part of a bathroom renovation. The owner, Tony, came out and had the items installed in a couple of hours, which seemed long for a spout, shower cartridge and handle, and shower head. This was when things started to go downhill. Tony immediately started taking photos of the parts and bathroom "so we know scratches were there before he started". He did whatever he did, then said we were all set. Tony had asked in the past about some brass and copper guard rails we had and that he was interested in them. He took off half the cost, 100 dollars, and took the metals as trade for the rest. It was *a lot* of metal. A few hundreds dollars worth at least, and the job's total was only 208 dollars. Even if he scrapped the stuff and didn't end up using it, he made out. All was fine, then later in the afternoon I set out to take a shower. The water was scalding hot, and wouldn't cool regardless of how cold I tried to make it. No problem I thought, maybe he just forgot to turn the cold water back on. I checked the shut off valves, but they were both on. Ok, that's odd. I turned off the hot valve completely and turned on the water, no cold at all. In fact, no water came out whatsoever. We called the main Advanced phone number and left a message. Tony showed up a few minutes later, rang the doorbell and pounded on the door. I answered, he barged through and went right up stairs. He asked "you didn't touch that handle did you?" The handle was the temperature control handle and of course I did, it's how showers work, you find a temperature you like. Tony started to check things over, obviously furious that I tried to use the shower as intended. He turned it on and off a couple of times, and it seemed to work. Then the same thing started happening. No cold water again. Then he tells us that the shower is controlled by pressure, and starts to look for other faucets or water that may be running, which he insists is the case. This was not the case, the shower valve we purchased was thermostatic. This works on temperature, NOT pressure. I figure he's the expert, he should know and we take his word for it. Out of nowhere, the cold starts running. No other water in the house is on, nothing is being used at all. Tony came back in and played around a little, and couldn't get it to work. At this point he declares that he's not responsible for customer parts, gets up and says "I have to go, my dogs are in the car." I am not exaggerating, he threw his hands in the air and walked out. During the install, Tony said "I've never seen this type of valve, but they can only go in one way." He put the valve in, and I assume he knows what he's doing, but there's no cold water. After he left us without a working shower, I read through the manual and find out that this is not the case, and that there is a clearly designated UP marker on the shower cartridge. I had to undo most of Tony's work, read the manual for the items we purchased, reassemble and adjust the thermostatic valve, and now every single thing works properly. We have a fully functional shower and bath, the thermostatic valve works beautifully, and has been since about 15 minutes after Tony left and I had to fix it myself. Not a single thing was defective; he just didn't know how to do the job, and didn't bother to try to read the manual and figure it out. As the business owner, Tony should be embarrassed about this entire situation. He took and kept our money, and left us high and dry with a job that he made worse and it was solely his fault for doing it incorrectly. read more

My apt kitchen sink drain was clogged. I called Advanced Sewer to schedule a service this morning. I was able to get an appointment this afternoon. Two plumbers showed up, apparently one is an apprentice. It took the plumber one glance and told me that the drain pipe was leaking, and we must fix the leak first, before unclogging. Then they went back to the truck and wrote me an estimate of ~$433 plus tax to fix the leaking pipe, then unclog the drain. I was surprised about the cost, but willing to pay and get the job done today. Then I was told that we have to wait next wed, one week from today for them to come back for do the job. I called the office and ask if they can help to get it sooner, the office told me if we want the job done, we have to wait and pay to get it done "properly", or they won't do the job. With the clogged kitchen drain and leaking pipe, we simply can't wait for a week. I call another professional plumber. He came out ~5pm, cut off the leaking drain pipe, installed rubber boot to connect the drain pipe and a new pipe, installed a new T trap, cleaned the plugged drain connection. The whole job took about 1 hour. Kitchen is back in service. I am disappointed with Advanced Sewer today, and would like to share my experience with everyone. Michelle read more

After moving to our new house we learned that the previous owners left us with a sink drain that was 99% clogged and we pushed it over the edge and completely clogged it up. Having family coming tomorrow it was not an option to not have a dishwasher and a sink functioning. The more visible plumbers (i.e Hertel Plumbing) would not be able to fit us in today. Luckily we found Advanced Sewers. The lady answering the phone was polite and assured us that we could get our sink fixed same day and would give us a call when they were coming. I was out running errands when they we available and I rushed home to find the plumber waiting in his truck, kinda surprised he didn't bail. He checked out the sink and quickly diagnosed the problem and went to work. After getting access to the horizontal run of the drain he found it was packed full of food (damn garbage disposal). He snaked it completely clean and had it wrapped up in no time. He was polite and looked like he knew exactly was he was doing (I'd have no idea either way though). It was a no-frills snake job and Advanced Plumbed rocked it. Price was very reasonable (120$) and offer a 90day warranty if you plug it up again. A+++ read more

I had a leak in my tenant's apartment so I called Advanced because they had previously done good work, cheap for me. Scheduling was easy enough. Someone would be by in a couple of days. Not ideal, but again: good work, cheap. "Should I tear down the ceiling so they can get a better look?" "No need, they should be able to determine the issue." I was quoted a time and was happy about it since I had other business later in the day, but after calling earlier to confirm the appointment, they were running behind. I can understand that. No problem except my tenant would have to be the intermediary. I trust her, so it didn't seem like a big deal. "Don't worry, someone will call you tomorrow to determine the issue and give you a quote." I asked my tenant what the service guy did while he was there. "Nothing. He looked at the hole and then left. If he was here 2 minutes it would have been a stretch." Next day comes and goes. I call two days after the service and it must have been a chore for the guy on the other end of the line to pick up the phone and deal with a customer that day. "Yeah, there's a leak." "Yes, I know. What's the problem." "We'll have to send someone out to fix it. We don't know why because the ceiling was closed up." "Yeah, that's why I offered to open it up. When can they come by?" "It won't be until at least after Labor Day. The 8th looks like the first available date." "Yeah, let me check with my tenant..." Anyhow, the ceiling collapsed due to the moisture that evening. I called a competitor and they were apologetic that they couldn't get someone there that night. I got a call from the competitor the next morning at 730a and it was fixed by 1030a. Yeah, I'm done with Advanced. I can't give them one star because they at least picked up the phone. I'm going to go write a review about stellar customer service and work done for the competitor now. read more

Great company. I have used them a few times. Basically all sewer cleaners are alike in terms of what they charge but this company goes the extra mile. My sewer line was partially blocked with tree roots. I called Advanced plumbing Monday night November 17th. They were closed and I got their answering service. I called again Tuesday morning November 18th and made an appointment for Saturday November 22nd between 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM. I waited all day on Saturday. Finally at 3:30 PM I got a call from Advanced Plumbing saying they wouldn't be able to make it. I'm beyond disappointed with the service I received and will tell as many people as I can what horrible service I received with Advanced Plumbing. read more
