I would not recommend Jon the plumber. They were sub contracted for a shower remodel from another contractor. They were getting paid by the contractor for all new plumbing for the shower. They just connected to my old pvc pipes. Also, 8 weeks prior they quoted me $525 for some additional work. The guy they sent had no idea of the quote or other work. That upset him, so with a quick re-quote we went up $2000 the day of. I don't know all you plumbers out there, it was roughly 4 feet of pipe. I wanted the lines from the shower to go to my toilet and sink. I can touch all the pipe I want replaced in my arm span. It's all in a straight line. Bottom line was Ben, the guy who showed up was upset and didn't want to do it. I now will hire a reliable plumber to finish the job. read more

The drain in our kitchen sink was totally backed-up. After repeated attempts by ourselves to solve this problem without any luck, we called Jon the Plumber. I had a small problem with a kitchen sink drain that kept separating from the link pipe that led to the main drain. I also had a slow running utility drain in the basement I wanted them to look at. The repairman was able to come early (Jon called to ask if this was OK) and he knew a simple method to solve the kitchen drain problem. He then examined the basement sink and drains and gave me a quote. I have a surgery scheduled so I was reluctant to contract for any kind of major work but they are sending me a quote should I choose to do the bigger job. No pressure. No baloney. Honest evaluation. This company gets my full respect. Not becsuse the gentlemen Matt was professional and friendly, but because they are honest. Honesty is hard to come by sometimes as we all hear stories of customers being told they need something done when it is not true. I had two issues for Matt to look at and one honestly fixed itself. Possibly fixed when my furnace was being replaced. As for the other, Matt gave me a quote but told me to try something before I go with the service as his suggestion may solve the problem. I know companies are struggling for work but I think their honesty goes further and it's definitely appreciated. I think many would agree with me in that one of our biggest concerns is being told we need this done and so on but the peace of mind comes from the honest evaluations that are given. I'll definitely be using this company moving forward as my wife and I are currently looking for a place. These guys came out, got me an estimate and then completed the whole first story (over basement) repipe in a day and 3 hours, though part of the delay was just miscommunication, once the whole house filter situation was resolved they finished very professionally, no junk left behind, removed old gross pipes etc. Had them come back to do an install on the dishwasher because the previous owner had done something really weird, they fixed that issue as well and we were back in business! Professional, punctual, friendly, honest, and skillful. There are not enough great things I can say about my experience using them. We needed to fix both of our bathrooms. Jon email me an estimate when he said he would and when he couldn't keep our scheduled appointment, because of an emergency, he emails me the day before to reschedule. We reschedule for 4 days later. I cannot tell you the times I've had electricians or contractors not show up or show up late without any notice. We have used Jon the Plumber for several jobs in our home, but most specifically he and his team installed our tankless hot water heater. They were super accommodating to our needs, and worked with us to place the exhaust and intake in an inconspicuous location. We had an urgent situation with our traditional hot water tank leaking. We smelled gas and called national fuel. They came and couldn't find a leak, so just turned off our gas and suggested we call a plumber. We called Jon the plumber, after using him years prior to install our garbage disposal. He was able to come quickly and found 3 or 4 leaks in our gas pipe leading up to our upper tenant unit's stove. We were so upset to hear the pipe would require us to open up walls in our unit. Jon tried some creative thinking to find a better solution, which ultimately ran a pipe around the perimeter of the kitchen. But, he found pipes that camouflaged into the baseboard. It was a great compromise that saved a lot of money. I had a friend use him for a major plumbing issue that required a full yard tear up. As a single female, she never felt he was ripping her off. He was responsive and helpful. Oh, and he is respectful of your house and brings booties to cover his shoes when he walks through your main house! read more

Second time I've used Jon the plumber. First experience was so great, I called him when I noticed that the clay pipe in my front yard (down to the sewer line) had broken. It wasn't critical, so we scheduled a time for them to come out. They ended up coming 2 days early when a spot freed up (a Saturday) - couldn't get the part til Monday, but were right back to finish the job on Monday. I emailed and asked them if the pipe could be lower to the ground and someone came out that day, cut it down. I can't say enough great things about this business.
